Nix’s POV

The older adults seem to be discussing something. “I have to do it, Diesel. I have to tell them. It is killing me to look at them.” I walked over to them both. “Caren. Lottie, can I have a word? Please.” I said to them both. “Sure.” They both responded, smiling at me. We walked over to the edge of the room. I took a deep breath. “It’s my fault.” I told them both. Eden appears by my side and holds my hand. “It’s my fault she is dead. She used all of her power to get me there. She would still be alive if it wasn’t for me. It’s eating me alive that I haven’t told you. Please forgive me.” I cried into Eden’s shoulder.
