Alpha Dalton’s POV

“They will all be leaving in a few hours, mother.” I told her as we ate breakfast together. An additional 20 members of the protection detail joined Council Member George this morning. He had clarified that they would all be leaving after the eclipse was over. As they are to travel to the palace. At least we won’t have to find somewhere for the additional men to sleep. Thankfully, we don’t get visitors here often and never in this quantity.

For the past two days, he’s been going through pack members’ files really carefully. I am not worried; I excel at record keeping. He’s always asking questions about pack members, especially the ones blessed by the goddess. Edward had never done this, but Edward had been visiting the pack for decades and knew about everyone. He was always an ally.

Mother doesn’t like Council Member George. She thinks he keeps staring at her. I think she is getting paranoid. But with the imminent eclipse, we are all on edge.
