Caren’s POV

“He doesn’t want me, remember?” I said, before resting my eyes on Reed. I can’t believe what Parker and Lottie are suggesting.

I heard what Nix, Lottie and Ethan said about him being a great guy. But they don’t understand how worthless he made me feel. Deana understands my reservation, but still wants her mate.

Both me and Lottie make Nix a promise to rescue Eden. Then I went back to Reed. To finish his healing, he may not want me. But that doesn’t mean I want him to die.

Then I plan on getting some rest. Freya is holding onto Reed. “Freya, can you go inside? I have something to finish. Before he is back to full health.”

She runs up to me and hugs me. “Thank you, he’s my hero,” she says before kissing my cheek. I couldn’t help but smile at her.

With what she has just been through and she is being so sweet. I watched her go into the house. Then I looked at him, “Lie down.” I instructed Reed. He does as he is told and lays down. He never takes his eyes off me
