"Perfect timing! Let me grab those for you Maeva. The bus pulled up just a minute ago. I'll load these on for you." David said as he grabbed her duffels from her. David was only a year older than her, & an Omega, so this was going to be his second year of attendance. He was her only friend in the entire pack, as she had spent her entire life as an outcast due to the rigorous training her father, well Daniel, had put her through.

"Thanks David." She smiled as she followed behind him. Just as she was reaching the door her right arm was grabbed forcefully from behind & she was jerked backwards into a hardened muscular chest. She knew his scent all too well, & she internally cringed.

"Gamma," she said as he pulled her into him. Though Alpha Maxwell technically had custody of her since she was an orphan, Gamma Clay had made it his personal responsibility to "care" for her. He was easily 6 foot tall, so he towered over her, & was 285lbs. of pure muscle. He was quite tanned & overall not bad to look at, but though she would never tell him, he wasn't her type. His hazel eyes held glint of mischief in them whenever he looked at her & it made her feel quite uneasy.

"Maeva, love," he started as he lowered his head into the crook of her neck & breathed in her scent, "You are my mate, you know. And when you turn 18 we will be marked & mated properly. You are mine Maeva, don't forget that while your away. Don't you dare give yourself to a lesser man that doesn't deserve you. I will be very unhappy." He breathed out, threatening her as he tightened his grip on her arm.

"I won't." She told him with a meek smile as she pulled from his grasp. He had been insistent that she was his mate since her 15th birthday, but she felt no attraction to him at all. Infact, she found him vile & repulsive. The mere thought of being in the same room as him made her skin crawl, so she avoided him as much as one could considering that he had essentially become her main care provider. Her every instinct told her that the Gamma was definitely NOT her mate.

She quickly walked out the door to where the rest of the students and their families were. He wouldn't get handsy with her infront of the pack, so she would be safe from his grabby hands out here. Since she didn't have a family to say goodbye to, she made her way over to the bus door & climbed the stairs. Before beginning her search for a seat, she turned to take a last look at the pack she had known her entire life. She smiled & waved to Alpha Maxwell & Luna Michelle when their eyes met, before making her way down the narrow path to find herself a seat.

She found a double seat with no bags holding it near the back of the bus, so she threw her blanket & pillow into the corner. She pulled the bag down from her shoulders & sat it in the seat before sitting down. This was going to be a long journey, so she got herself comfortable in the double seat. Luckily there were only 23 of them attending the academy this year, so there was plenty of room for them to each have their own double seat on the large Charter bus. The academy had sent 4 warriors to accompany them to the school, but they were each comfortable in their own double seat as well.

As the bus drove through the packland's entrance gate she let out a breath that she hadn't known she'd been holding. The further they drove away from the borders, the more relaxed she became. Sure there was a danger going into the unknown, but she was much more comfortable with the thought of fighting off unknown enemies than the enemy she had left behind. So long as she could help it, she would never return to Gamma Clay's repulsive grasp again.

She pulled out her phone & put her headphones in, fully prepared to completely relax in the seat & drown out everyone with some music while she mulled over the letter she read this morning. Thankfully, David was in the front of the bus, so she wouldn't have to worry about anyone talking to her. These wolves had never been friendly to her before, so they had no reason to start now.

As the music began blaring through her ears, she thought over the contents of the letter her father, well guardian, had left her. She couldn't seem to wrap her head around the idea that she was a Timekeeper wolf, THE Timekeeper wolf. She was a royal wolf, a princess. Though she had always known that she was different from the other wolves, she never could have imagined that she was THAT different.

She had learned about the Timekeeper wolves in her history classes at school. The were the first royals among the wolves. The line began as the very first of the wolves. The Timekeeper wolf helped keep the forces of good & evil among the wolves in balance. They were gifted with the power of time, and subsequently the ability to manipulate it. Not only did they have the ability to manipulate time, but they essentially kept the history of the wolves, it was embedded in their DNA, she had read. The Timekeeper line was magnificent & unique in that not only was it a known royal bloodline through its immunity to silver & high tolerance for wolfsbane, but the Alphaship of the bloodline passed differently too. In normal wolf Alpha lines, the oldest child, usually a son, received all of, or nearly 100% of the Alpha genetics, and then it tapered down  with each additional child.

In the Royal Timekeeper line however, the 1st & 2nd child received 60-80% of the Alpha genetics, whereas the 3rd child received 100%, thus, making them the Alpha & the most powerful wolf of the family. So that would mean she had 2 older siblings. The letter had spoken of an older brother, but hadn't mentioned her other sibling. Perhaps that was because her other sibling was too young to comprehend the severity of the situation at the time.

The Timekeeper family was known to have active powers as well. The Timekeeper ofcourse could manipulate time, but the first & second born's of a Timekeeper were known to have telekinetic &/or empathetic powers of their own. She wondered which of her siblings held which of the other powers that ran in the family. The history books at the pack school had never been specific on which child received which powers, so she wasn't really sure.

When she got to the academy she would be sure to explore the library & find out all she could about the Timekeeper line. Until then, all could do was wonder what the extent of her powers would be when she finally decided to track her family down so her mom could unbind her power. She wondered if she would have witch powers as well, since her mother was a witch.

That meant that she was a hybrid. She had never heard of another hybrid wolf before, but she and her siblings would technically be hybrids. There was the Alpha King ofcourse, technically he was a Demi-God wolf. According to all the books she had read, he was the child of the Moon Goddess herself, & no one truly knew his exact age, so he was assumed to be immortal. She made a mental note to research Timekeeper wolves, hybrids, & the Alpha King when she got to the academy.

It was late morning by the time the bus pulled to a stop in the large circle driveway to the academy entrance. The other students quickly vacated the bus, as they all had been enrolled the previous year. She was the only 1st year student from her pack & though she was nervous to begin this journey she refused to let it show. She took her time packing up her belongings from the bus before exiting the vehicle. Stepping off the bus she took in a deep inhale of the fresh mountain air. Sure, she could smell the other wolves throughout the territory, but she had always had a knack for being able to filter scents. She would only smell what she chose to smell in this moment, & the mountain air was not only refreshing, but incredibly exhilarating also. A full sized bed sat under each window with a white wooden night stand on each side. There was a desk on the wall to the left of her, & a sitting area with a plush lavender couch to her right. On the far right wall sat another desk between 2 of the 3 doors. "This is nice." David said as walked over to lay her pillow & blanket on the bed that hadn't been claimed. After she showered, she and Stella chatted while she made herself more presentable & they finished unpacking. She had learned that Stella was the middle child between 2 brothers. Her younger brother would start at the academy next year. Her mother's name was Marion & her Father was Howard. Her mother was the daughter of a Scottish Alpha. Her parents were friendly with the Alpha King & he visited their pack whenever he went to the UK on business. She said that though her parents were on friendly terms with the Alpha King, she was sure the friendly part was more or less her parents because the Alpha King wasn't very friendly. When Maeva asked her what he was like she had said he was cold, intimidating & seemed to live in a state of constant annoyance. But surely he couldn't be that bad if he created the academy right? Once they had finished unpacking, Stella offered to show her around, which she happily accepted. Stella took her out the back exit of the building where th

He's literally the 2nd most powerful wolf in the world." Dimitri rolled his eyes at her. She wasn't sure why but his eye roll irritated her. She was undoubtedly smarter than him, but yet he was talking to her as though she was stupid, & that really got under her skin. Was this what a friendship with him would be like? She decided it was her turn to irritate him right back. Sure he could dish it out, but she was about to find out if he could it as well. "Oh, I see. So kinda like you? I mean your the 2nd most most powerful Alpha on campus right? And that power gap is significant, but I suppose that's because the mate bond makes us stronger & you haven'

When she came out of the shower wrapped in one of the fluffy towels that the school had stocked in the cabinet, Stella was sitting on her bed next to her own shower products scrolling through her phone. "You ditched us for your Omega friend at dinner," She said nonchalantly glancing up from her phone. "David's been my friend for as long as I can remember. Technically I would have been ditching him for you guys if I would've stayed." She answered walking to her closet. At that Stella jumped up from her bed & followed her, standing just outside the door as she dried off & put her pajamas off. I'd barely had time to register that she told me my knee would hurt worse than my shoulder did before she was straddling me. My breath caught in my throat as she scooted herself up closer to me, & before I could stop myself, my eyes darted to her beautiful deep red luscious lips. Having her on top of me, being this close to her mouth with her scent enveloping me was intoxicating. I wanted her, bad. Azak "Let's go everyone! We are going to be late for the party!" I shouted up the stairs from the foyer. Today was the Timekeeper twins sixteenth birthday and the Wolf King and Queen were throwing them a massive party to celebrate. I knew Crysanthi was doing her best to wrangle our three children so we would make it on time, but as it stood, we were already going to be late. Our oldest daughter, Daisy, came running down the steps with her little sister Rose in tow. I could hear my beautiful light upstairs rushing our youngest, Gin, to hurry him up. My boy preferred to do things on his own time, but today was not his day, it was Harmony and Hunter's day, so his mother was rushing him. A few seconds later the two of them appeared at the top of the stairs just before Crysanthi gripped his should and disappeared in a flash of bright pink. Our girls knew well enough by now to know that that was their signal to grab onto me so the three of us could portal out to the party as well, so th

Crysanthi Our peace had been hard won over the past year, but as I sat in the gardens with my light, I knew every bit of it was worth it. He had spent the day gathering fruits and vegetables from the gardens so that we would have plenty of them for Rayan's cooking class tonight. Us Royals still got together every week for dinner to keep in touch, only now Rayan and Genevieve showed up with baby Heidi in tow, usually with Rayan carrying her carseat. She was a precious little wide eyed princess, always so curious and wanting to look around at everything. Tonight Rayan was going to teach us all to cook, though Genevieve would probably spend the evening holding her pup and watching on. But she didn't particularly need to learn to cook, since Rayan was her mate after all. Ember and Fioré had grown closer over the months, and within the next couple of months the dragon Timekeeper princess would come of age and become a Queen herself, just as Genevieve and I had. Then she coul

I wanted to memorize it, as it had been my family home for centuries before I had even been thought of. We spent many evenings in the graveyard Grove under the shade of my deceased loved ones. It had been the perfect reprieve from the war that we were currently in the middle of. Ember and Fioré had stayed in the Elven Kingdom, refusing to leave the new princess unprotected. They didn't want the elves to suffer the same fate that their own people had. Many of the other dragons had joined them as well. Our alliance was paying off quite nicely for everyone involved. Even as the dragons migrated to the Elven Kingdom, their own kingdom was slowly being rebuilt. The elves had even stepped up to help to show their gratitude for having the dragons protecting their princess. Everything was calm and

Once the flames had died down I felt Crysanthi strongly through our bond, and knew she was right around the corner. When she turned it, I saw that she had the Queen and the Timekeeper Princess in tow. She had to speak loudly, but she told me that she thought we should work our way through the castle with the baby since her cries were dropping the dark forces and I agreed. So we worked our way through the entire castle until we came to the front where the underwater battle continued to rage on. It didn't take long before my little light was using her water magic to create a fifty foot air bubble in the ocean, effectively allowing the princess's cries to reach the sirens and water

Crysanthi It was only a few days after the battle with the dark covens when we received the news that the Atlantian Timekeeper Princess had been born. Azak and I were ecstatic to hear that there had been no issues with her delivery and that all was quiet on the ocean front for now. Fortunately we had been spending the summer in my birth castle which sat just off the coast of the Atlantian Kingdom. So, we decided to take a day to go visit the new princess and offer our support however possible. I was quite excited to meet her, as I had never actually held or even known a baby before. We had arranged to have the water fae warriors set up on the coast line for the time being, just incase the dark forces decided to make a play at attempting to kidnap the new princess. Rayan and Genevieve had even sent some wolf warriors and a coven of witches that were skilled in water magic. We suspected that if a play were to be made, it would be by freaks with water magic. She was more excited for me than I was, but I allowed her joy to rub off on me as I jumped out of bed to join them. No doubt Azak had let them in, I'm sure he was quite excited about today's events as well. "I doubt that my coronation will be near as exciting as yours, but I'm ready I suppose." I told them as I sat on the chair across from them. "Wait, what happened at yours?" Ember asked Genevieve curiously with a giggle. But I also knew that Genevieve didn't see it that way. As far as she was concerned, she was just doing her duty as a Timekeeper Queen to regulate the balance of the light and dark.
