Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed the chapter! Sorry I haven't updated as much as I'd hoped, but I am back to writing & committed to finishing this book this month! Leave me a gem and comment if you are enjoying!
Crysanthi POV A month had passed before I knew it as I spent most of my time Ember. We had become really close over the past month. I spent alot of time portalling us to the Werewolf Academy where we spent alot of time hanging out with Genevieve who had an ever growing pup bump. Which was the cutest thing! Azak and I had also began making it a point to have what the humans call "date night" once a week, as did Ember and Fioré upon Genevieve and Rayan's suggestion at dinner which we held once a week. Tonight was once again date night for Azak and I, as well as Ember and Fioré, so Ember and I were in my quarters preparing. Ember was a true beauty with her bright red hair and pale skin. Her eyes were a shining sky blue unless she was tapping the power of her dragon, then they turned into the brightest blue flames I have ever seen. The fire within her burned so hot that even the flames she created were blue, and I was completely in awe of her. She was settling into the palace nicely, an
Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was hoping to finish this book before the New Year, but then I got pretty sick and have been fighting off this sickness ever since. The good news is that through all the sleeping I've been doing, I had a dream that gave me inspiration for a new werewolf novel, so hopefully in the New Year I'll be finishing this book while writing that one! I'm starting to feel better, finally, so I plan on getting a few chapters out between Christmas and the New Year. I hope you all have a great holiday season, and I look forward to continuing this story for you and giving you a new one or two within the coming new year. Happy Holidays!!
Crysanthi POV I woke up later than usual, but as I laid in bed remembering the events of the previous night, I couldn't help but to smile. Azak and I were officially sharing our quarters, and life could not be anymore perfect. He wasn't in bed when I woke, so I quickly showered and dressed so that I could find him. I followed the pull of the mate bond to his office, where I found him sitting with Fioré discussing Kingdom business. We had all been working quite hard to rebuild the Dragon Kingdom, seeing as how Fioré had never had his own palace so there was only one castle for the dragon Royalty. I asked him where Ember was and he told me that Azak had planned a trip into the village so she was getting herself dressed for the day. So, I went to find my friend in her quarters. She and Fioré were still working through the fact that he had raised her, so their bond was a little strange for both of them. I wanted to see how their date night went, and to gush about how great mine had been
Azak POV I knew that the annual Romance Festival would be the perfect place to take Fioré and Ember to hell them loosen up and allow the fated bond to do its work. The two of them just kept staring at eachother all starry-eyed all throughout lunch, and several times my little light and I had to remind them to eat their food. They were so lost in eachother that they didn't even notice when my light and I slipped away for a walk through the gardens. All I could do was laugh when they barely acknowledged that we had said we were going to go for a walk. It was late afternoon as we walked hand in hand through the gardens, enjoying the scenery. I was caught off guard when my light asked me why most of the water fae had abandoned my kingdom a century ago. She told me that her father had told her about it, but had never told her why. I suppose I should have known the question was coming after she had scolded those teenagers for bullying the young water fae boy earlier this aft
Crysanthi The screaming started just before the incredibly loud explosion, and I knew that something was wrong. I portalled myself back to the fountain to find pure and utter chaos. People were trying to run away, screaming from pure fear as freaks and rogues attacked from all angles. The fountain had become chunks of cement that were laying scattered on the ground, and I knew that it had been blown up. We were being attacked by the dark forces and innocent civilians were wounded and dying all around me. I immediately jumped into action, using the power of the earth to summon vines and tree branches to pull freaks and rogues off of civilians. I saw Fioré fighting off three rogue wolves, but I didn't see Ember anywhere. I knew the moment Azak portalled in behind me as I watched a group of freaks that had been going after the family we had passed earlier get surrounded by flames. Unfortunately there were just so many of them that I wasn't sure we would be able to hold them off for lon
Azak Lila. Ofcourse she had illustrated this attack on the Romance Festival. When I saw her I knew I had to put a stop to her once and for all. What I didn't expect was for her to lead me into a trap, or for my fated little light, who was already injured to come chasing after me. I regretted chasing her the moment I noticed that Crysanthi was in that field with us. As I watched those vines tighten around my little light, I felt my heart being squeezed in my chest, and I knew that if she didn't survive this, I wouldn't either. So, I allowed the words and feelings that I had been keeping to myself for months to finally come out of my mouth. Lila didn't take too well to that, and pulled the vines she had wrapped around us even tighter. I hated that I was unable to use my magic, as she had secured both of our hands to ensure that we couldn't. What I didn't expect was to hear the melodic giggle come from behind us as Lila ranted about how she would kill us both for the fact that ou
Crysanthi The last thing I remember was being tangled in those thorny vines and hearing Genevieve's voice as Lila sneered at us. Luckily I woke up in the bed that Azak and I shared with his orange eyes staring down at me as he smiled. I knew that we had survived, that Genevieve had somehow managed to save us from Lila's murderous plans. "Lila? Did Genevieve win?" I asked him afraid of his answer, though I doubted he would be smiling had Genevieve lost to Lila, seeing as how that would send Rayan on a rampage. "She ran off, Rayan and the Betas chased her but she got away. Ronan and the Gamma boy tracked her to a hide out though, so we have wolf, fae and dragon scouts keeping track of her movements. She won't get a chance to attack us again." He smiled a mischievous smile that told me that he was already formulating a plan to take her down. "How are you feeling my light? Genevieve and the Gamma girl did all they could to speed your healing up, has it helped?" He then asked with a
Azak We were all stressing over the upcoming coronation, but no one more than my little light and I. She would turn 18 two days before the the Spring Equinox, and I would be able to mark her, which would bring her into her full power. As excited as I was to finally mate and mark her, I was equally as nervous about it. Especially with Lila on the loose, who knew what kind of distractions she might have planned to keep Crysanthi and I from completing our bond. Regardless, we were only a couple weeks away from Crysanthi's birthday now, so all our plans were going full steam ahead. We had decided that after the coronation, Ember and Fioré would come back here to the Winter Palace to rule over their people who were living in the nearby village. That would allow for Crysanthi and I to have plenty of alone time for the summer, though I wasn't sure how much we would actually get with a war looming over us. But still, some alone time seemed appropriate after our coronation,
Azak "Let's go everyone! We are going to be late for the party!" I shouted up the stairs from the foyer. Today was the Timekeeper twins sixteenth birthday and the Wolf King and Queen were throwing them a massive party to celebrate. I knew Crysanthi was doing her best to wrangle our three children so we would make it on time, but as it stood, we were already going to be late. Our oldest daughter, Daisy, came running down the steps with her little sister Rose in tow. I could hear my beautiful light upstairs rushing our youngest, Gin, to hurry him up. My boy preferred to do things on his own time, but today was not his day, it was Harmony and Hunter's day, so his mother was rushing him. A few seconds later the two of them appeared at the top of the stairs just before Crysanthi gripped his should and disappeared in a flash of bright pink. Our girls knew well enough by now to know that that was their signal to grab onto me so the three of us could portal out to the party as well, so th
Crysanthi Our peace had been hard won over the past year, but as I sat in the gardens with my light, I knew every bit of it was worth it. He had spent the day gathering fruits and vegetables from the gardens so that we would have plenty of them for Rayan's cooking class tonight. Us Royals still got together every week for dinner to keep in touch, only now Rayan and Genevieve showed up with baby Heidi in tow, usually with Rayan carrying her carseat. She was a precious little wide eyed princess, always so curious and wanting to look around at everything. Tonight Rayan was going to teach us all to cook, though Genevieve would probably spend the evening holding her pup and watching on. But she didn't particularly need to learn to cook, since Rayan was her mate after all. Ember and Fioré had grown closer over the months, and within the next couple of months the dragon Timekeeper princess would come of age and become a Queen herself, just as Genevieve and I had. Then she coul
Crysanthi The weeks flew by as the summer season blossomed. Azak and I had spent much of our time enjoying the summer castle, with him exploring every inch, nook and cranny with me. I wanted to memorize it, as it had been my family home for centuries before I had even been thought of. We spent many evenings in the graveyard Grove under the shade of my deceased loved ones. It had been the perfect reprieve from the war that we were currently in the middle of. Ember and Fioré had stayed in the Elven Kingdom, refusing to leave the new princess unprotected. They didn't want the elves to suffer the same fate that their own people had. Many of the other dragons had joined them as well. Our alliance was paying off quite nicely for everyone involved. Even as the dragons migrated to the Elven Kingdom, their own kingdom was slowly being rebuilt. The elves had even stepped up to help to show their gratitude for having the dragons protecting their princess. Everything was calm and
Azak As the baby's high pitched screams echoed through the hallways, the dark forces began falling to their knees and grabbing at their ears. I took the opportunity to scorch them all as they squealed and hissed, ensuring that if the high pitched noise didn't finish them off, the flames would. Once the flames had died down I felt Crysanthi strongly through our bond, and knew she was right around the corner. When she turned it, I saw that she had the Queen and the Timekeeper Princess in tow. She had to speak loudly, but she told me that she thought we should work our way through the castle with the baby since her cries were dropping the dark forces and I agreed. So we worked our way through the entire castle until we came to the front where the underwater battle continued to rage on. It didn't take long before my little light was using her water magic to create a fifty foot air bubble in the ocean, effectively allowing the princess's cries to reach the sirens and water
Crysanthi It was only a few days after the battle with the dark covens when we received the news that the Atlantian Timekeeper Princess had been born. Azak and I were ecstatic to hear that there had been no issues with her delivery and that all was quiet on the ocean front for now. Fortunately we had been spending the summer in my birth castle which sat just off the coast of the Atlantian Kingdom. So, we decided to take a day to go visit the new princess and offer our support however possible. I was quite excited to meet her, as I had never actually held or even known a baby before. We had arranged to have the water fae warriors set up on the coast line for the time being, just incase the dark forces decided to make a play at attempting to kidnap the new princess. Rayan and Genevieve had even sent some wolf warriors and a coven of witches that were skilled in water magic. We suspected that if a play were to be made, it would be by freaks with water magic. Atleast tha
Azak The next few days passed without incident. Crysanthi and I spent all our time in the Royal suite, enjoying our one on one time since we had gotten very little of it since officially claiming one another. But I suppose all good things must come to end. I watched her portal away without so much as an explanation, as she was coming back from the ensuite bathroom. I began feeling for her through the bond immediately, but it didn't take long before she popped in right infront of me panicked. "Call Rayan, get them to the werecat kingdom now. They're under attack. They didn't want to bother Genevieve with her being so close to her due date, but it's a couple covens of dark witches. They need our help. I'm going to portal Ember to the Elven Kingdom to watch over Queen Eidi. Grab Fioré and follow me. NOW AZAK!" She rambled out. I grabbed my phone off the night stand and followed her out of the suite. I called Rayan as we walked quickly down the stairs to the suite that Ember and Fiore
Crysanthi I woke up to Genevieve and Ember giggling like school girls as they sat on the couch eating their breakfast. When I turned to glare at them they both giggled even more as they sat eating fresh fruit and smoked fish. "Wake up sleepy head. Today you become a Queen!" Genevieve squealed joyfully. She was more excited for me than I was, but I allowed her joy to rub off on me as I jumped out of bed to join them. No doubt Azak had let them in, I'm sure he was quite excited about today's events as well. "I doubt that my coronation will be near as exciting as yours, but I'm ready I suppose." I told them as I sat on the chair across from them. "Wait, what happened at yours?" Ember asked Genevieve curiously with a giggle. "I may or may not have melted the brains of the entire werewolf council. It's no big deal or anything though. They had it coming for plotting against their monarchs." Genevieve answered her casually. Ember's eyes grew wide as she stared at Genevieve causin
Azak Once we had gotten the mess cleaned up from the fight, I had the staff immediately begin decorating for the pup shower that Crysanthi wanted to throw for Genevieve. All of our guests were fine after the battle, and excited for the shower. Genevieve had definitely made her mark on all of us, so it was nice to be able to show our appreciation by doing this for her. I knew I personally would never be able to thank her for handling Lila for me, as I knew I never would have been able to. She had payed back the debt she owed Crysanthi ten times over. But I also knew that Genevieve didn't see it that way. As far as she was concerned, she was just doing her duty as a Timekeeper Queen to regulate the balance of the light and dark. I was also quite happy for her and Rayan, and I wanted to show them how much they were appreciated with this shower. So, I went through, double checking everything from the decorations to the food to ensure that they would enjoy this shower tha
Crysanthi When I jumped back into my body it was late at night and Azak was smiling at me from outside the cell door. I smiled back at him, but my smile immediately faltered when I realized that I smelled like piss. Apparently the version of me that had jumped into my body thought it would be funny to piss herself instead of using the toilet and sink combo that was in the cell for that specific reason. "It was a freak Timekeeper Queen from dimension 5. She thought it would be hilarious to make me watch you piss yourself, and I ofcourse wasn't dumb enough to open the cell to stop her or try to change your clothes my light." Azak spoke softly when he saw that I had noticed my appearance. All I could do was nod my head at his words as I stood up to be let out of the cell. He obliged and unlocked the door for me. I didn't speak a word as I walked up both sets of stairs to our suite to shower. I knew I shouldn't be embarrassed, as it was not me who committed such an embarrassing act, b
