THIRD POV“Welcome back!”They were taken aback to find her cousins waiting for them. Scarlett felt a surge of happiness, knowing that they were still accepted in the manor, despite the numerous challenges they had faced twelve years ago.“Ven!”Scarlett’s eyes widened as she caught sight of her best friend. “Oh my gosh! Claire!” she exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace her friend. “Oh, my goodness!” Scarlett whispered. Claire chuckled and gently patted her friend’s back, as they hadn’t seen each other in decades.Scarlett pulled away, wiping her tears as she recalled the assistance Claire had provided.“I had no idea you were here!”Claire chuckled and shrugged. “Surprise?”Scarlett joined in the laughter and embraced her friend once more.“Oh, I nearly forgot… This is my husband, Antonio Suarez. He’s Spanish, but he’s fluent in English,” Claire introduced her spouse. Scarlett smiled and shook hands with Claire’s husband.“It’s nice to meet you, and please take care of her despite her stubbornness,” Scarlett added with a smile. Claire’s eyes widened, as if she was taken aback by what Scarlett had said about her.“No, I’m not stubborn!” she exclaimed as she looked at her spouse. “Hon, don’t listen to her!”Her husband only chuckled and hugged Claire’s shoulder.Scarlett smiled and clasped Claire's hand in hers. “I’m happy for you,” she said. Claire nodded and hugged Scarlett once more, as she missed her friend.Scarlett approached her other cousins, eager to greet them. To her surprise, she noticed that her nephews and nieces had also adopted some of their cousin’s habits. It was unexpected for her to see them thriving and living their lives after the hardships they had endured.“HEY, BUDDY!”Agustin, who had been engrossed in a book in a corner, paused and looked up. As soon as he recognized one of his uncles, a mischievous smirk appeared on his face.“Hey, Uncle Erin.”They embraced, and Erin playfully tousled Agustin's hair, who was a real man.“Are you planning to read a book even in this place? Could that turn you into Einstein?” Erin chuckled, and Agustin simply grinned.“I wish.”They shared a laugh, and Erin wrapped his arms around Agustin’s shoulders, remarking, “You’ll have to grow up first before you can sit on the throne,” gesturing towards their grandfather and Uncle Vernon’s majestic seat.Agustin stared at the throne and asked, “Should I? Do I deserve the throne?” He looked at his Uncle Erin, smiling.Erin sighed and put both hands in the pockets of his pants. “Your mother refused the throne, so Uncle Vernon became the chairman. Our leader. He continued what our grandfather started,” he said, looking at the big picture of their grandfather and grandmother and smiling. “Our generations are a… a bit complicated for breaking the law.”Agustin nodded, just listening to his uncle.“Your mother is fighting for her right. She is fighting because she has you and Carrie. After what happened, it changed. We have a new law. None of us or your cousins can take over the throne.” Erin shook his head and sighed again.“Many individuals are vying for the throne, and there is also a lot of discontent regarding Uncle Vernon’s replacement due to a tragic event. Our great-grandfather violated the law,” Erin said, mustering a forced smile. “He betrayed the family, making a mistake in an attempt to protect us, our family, our people, and our reputation.” Erin continued, gripping Agustin’s shoulder. “The throne requires someone capable of ruling it.”“And that someone is you, Agustin.”Both of them turned towards the person who had spoken, and Erin’s face lit up with a smile upon seeing them.“Uncle Carter,” Agustin exclaimed.Carter returned the smile and placed his arm around Agustin. “You are the only one who truly belongs,” he whispered, giving her shoulder a reassuring pat.Agustin grinned and shook his head at his uncles, glancing at the throne once more before letting out a sigh. The sound of clinking glasses filled the room.“You’re all here! Welcome back, my princess and my lovely grandchildren,” said Vernon with a smile. “I have an important announcement to make regarding my decision to step down from the throne. It gives me great pleasure to congratulate my only grandson, who will take over my position when he comes of age.” He smiled again. “I must say, he possesses an exceptional intellect, surpassing even that of his mother and grandfathers.”They applauded and turned to Agustin, who was simply observing them. Vernon nodded at Agustin and raised his glass.“I will trust you on this, Agustin.” said Vernon with a smile, glancing at everyone. “Let’s celebrate!”The crowd erupted in cheers, with many congratulating Agustin, although he still had two years before ascending to the throne. He would also undergo training in business and clan management.Their joyous occasion transformed into anguish and fear…Scarlett covered her mouth as she spoke to Dominic’s secretary about what had happened to her husband. While crying and listening, she turned to her children. Carrie and Tara were stunned by their mother’s reaction. Agustin’s face was blank, his fist clenched.Scarlett hung up the phone and sat on the couch, unable to speak.“M-mom, w-what happened to dad?” Carrie asked as she approached her devastated mother.“Is he dead?” Tara asked, tears streaming down her face.Scarlett remained silent, her sobs growing louder. Carrie embraced Scarlett tightly, also crying, while Tara sought comfort in Agustin, who wore an expressionless face.“He was… tragically killed by an unknown assailant,” Scarlett finally managed to say, her voice trembling. “His secretary confided in me, sharing all the details. It appears that your father refused to agree to their proposal for the transaction. As a result, he found himself entangled in a solitary battle against them…”Her two children cried even harder upon hearing her words, while Agustin remained stoic, standing silently behind the sofa.“He’s gone…”Agustin's fist tightened, trembling with suppressed emotion.“This is your fault, mother,” Agustin said, devoid of any feeling, his gaze fixed on the distance. “This is all your fault.”Carrie spun around, her anger boiling over, and yelled at Agustin, “Brother!”Agustin disregarded her and continued to convince himself that his mother was to blame for what had happened to his father.“You have no concern for anyone but yourself,” he seethed, his gaze piercing his mother as his expression grew somber. “This place is a living nightmare. Knights are nothing but selfish.”Scarlett remained silent, her lips pressed together as she acknowledged the truth in her son’s words. She couldn’t deny that everything that had transpired was indeed her fault. If only she had intervened and prevented Dominic from engaging in that transaction, none of this would have occurred.“Agustin,”Agustin, filled with anger, looked away and stormed out of the mansion, wreaking havoc on everything in his path.“Agustin!” Scarlett shouted desperately, but Agustin paid no attention and only heard the sound of the motor engine as he drove away from the manor.Scarlett, shocked and devastated, covered her mouth and turned to her two daughters, embracing them tightly as tears streamed down her face.Ever since his father’s death, everything had changed. Dominican Agustin had undergone a profound transformation, becoming cruel and merciless due to a tragic event that had shattered his life. One week later…Agustin still hasn’t returned, and they are getting anxious because Agustin might do something bad again. They brought Gabriel back to Agustin’s penthouse to rest properly. Although Gabriel wants to go back to work, Agustin’s cousins won’t allow him. “Do you want him to kill us?”Gabriel had no choice but to rest in the penthouse because he could sense that Adrian didn’t want to cause trouble with Agustin. He was also worried about Agustin not returning yet. “He’ll be back,” Carrie reassured him, even though she knew there was no certainty that Agustin would return.“Emmett, do you know where Agustin is, right?” he asked. Emmett paused from peeling apples and glanced at Gabriel. He was about to answer when the door suddenly opened, and Carrie, Janno, Adrian, and Tara arrived with lots of food and shopping bags.Emmett breathed a sigh of relief because he would rather not reveal Agustin’s whereabouts. He promised not to tell anyone, especially Gabriel.“Hi!” Adrian gree
“Agustin!”Carrie flinched as Agustin punched the wall, tears streaming down her face as she covered her mouth. It was the first time in 8 years that she had seen Agustin this angry. “Please, just stop!” she begged, but her brother ignored her pleas. “Brother, please!” Carrie pulled Agustin away from the wall and hugged him, sensing his anger. “I know you’re upset, but not here. Gabriel needs you,” she whispered, feeling her brother calm down at the mention of Gabriel’s name.Agustin leaned against the wall and sat down, so Carrie gently sat beside her brother. “What are you planning to do now?” she asked. “To kill all of them? Then what? You’ll ruin your life again?”Agustin remained silent, prompting Carrie to scoff. “You don’t need to take the law into your hands. There’s no need for war, Agustin, and there’s no need to tarnish our hands—”“There is no justice, Carrie.”Carrie paused and turned to Agustin. “There is another way, brother. You have to come back with us,” she said. Ag
Adrian and his cousins were waiting for Agustin to arrive, and they had been waiting for hours. Adrian glanced at his cousins who were still asleep on the large sofa in the hideout. He also looked at Emmett, who had fallen asleep out of exhaustion. Adrian had also let Janno rest, who had fallen asleep while watching over Gabriel. He sighed and stepped out of the hideout to smoke. He was still troubled because he felt that their mission involved more than just Gio.“I miss my childhood. I was also a troublemaker back then,”He was startled by the sudden appearance of his uncle Ander, who was also smoking.“I can’t say that Gabriel will be okay because his condition is severe. I’m more worried about what will happen if the whole Knight family finds out,” Ander said, shaking his head and sighing. “I haven’t told my husband yet about this because he might cause a scene. You know your uncle Erin, when it comes to family, he’s even more dramatic than Sophia.” He chuckled, mentioning that Er
Instead of taking Gabriel to the hospital, they brought him to their hideout. They are afraid of being exposed for what they did and the public finding out about Agustin. They laid Gabriel on a bed and dressed him properly because they couldn’t bear to see his gruesome appearance. Adrian also instructed his cousins to get supplies from their family’s hospital because it’s better to treat Gabriel at their hideout. Adrian looked at the number and at Eros, unsure of what to say. “Damn. Damn. What we did today is even worse,” he muttered, biting his nails. “I suddenly feel so guilty! It’s frustrating!” He scratched his head and took a deep breath before calling the number he had been staring at. The call was answered after a few rings… (“Adrian?”) He cleared his throat and scratched his eyebrow. “Uhm, uncle, is uncle Erin with you?” he asked, glancing at Eros, who looked puzzled, so he just smiled and moved away to talk to their uncle properly. “He’s still sleeping next to me. Why?

Enough!” Gabriel cried out as Trixie whipped him. He was too weak to resist, his body covered in bruises and wounds. He couldn’t even urinate properly because Gio had done something to prevent it. All he could hear were his screams and cries.Gio grabbed Gabriel’s hair and lifted his head. “Have you learned from your mistake of trying to escape my control?” Gio asked with a smirk, but Gabriel just glared at him without responding. “¡No te oigo, Gabriel Álvarez! (I can’t hear you, Gabriel Alvarez!)” Gio shouted, throwing Gabriel’s head back down. “Gabriel!” Gio shouted again, signaling Trixie to continue beating Gabriel, who screamed in pain.Gio stopped Trixie and approached the weakened Gabriel, who had been injected with drugs. He forced Gabriel’s mouth open and inserted something, causing Gabriel to gag and
EMMETT’s POVI can’t sit still while biting my nails. This is my fault! If only I hadn’t been careless, Gabriel wouldn’t have been kidnapped! Damn!I can’t bring myself to talk to Eli because I feel growing anger towards him. Just his driving alone almost gives me a heart attack. He doesn’t care that many police officers are following us due to his overspeeding. I can’t even look at him because I might end up buried prematurely.Damn. Currently, all I can do is pray for Trixie because even she won’t be spared by my friend. For days, we’ve been thinking about where Trixie might take Gabriel, and all they can think of is Gio Robles, Eli’s former rival.“I’m so annoyed by the loud noise from their cars, I feel like blowing them up!”I just swallowed and didn’t speak because what he said was true.“Fuck them!” he shouted and rummaged through something in front of him. My eyes widened when I saw him take out a grenade.“Fuck you, dude! Don’t do that! We still have unfinished business, we m

Agustin’s group was puzzled about the source of the commotion.“What’s happening?”They shrugged, unsure of what was going on. Meanwhile, Emmett couldn’t sit still, knowing that Agustin was causing a scene in his room upon discovering Gabriel was missing. He had been entrusted with watching over Gabriel but failed to do so.The owner of the club emerged from his office and glanced at the dark hallway where the noise was coming from. Onlookers gathered to see what was happening.“Let the people out, we’re closing early today,” he calmly instructed his employees, who were dismayed by the unusual early closure. “You wouldn’t want to know what will happen if you don’t get the people out,” he added, signaling his staff to start clearing the place as his seriousness was evident. The owner sighed and gestured for Emm
GABRIEL’s POVI woke up feeling a heavy arm draped over me. I turned to my side and my eyes widened when I saw Agustin peacefully sleeping next to me. “Shit,” I whispered and covered my mouth to avoid waking him up. I tried to move, but he held me tightly.Shit! Shit! What a disgraceful thing I did! Wait… Why did I do that? Why did I kiss him? Damn you, Gabriel! You liked what happened between you two! Fuck!“What are you doing?”I screamed and fell off the bed in shock. “Ow!” I muttered, feeling a pain in my backside.“Oh, did you enjoy what we did last night?”My eyes widened as I looked at Agustin leaning against the headboard of the bed, grinning at me. I looked down and bit my lip, trying to stand up but stumbled due to the pain. Shit. I heard Agustin laughing, so I glared at him.“It’s your fault!” I angrily retorted and pulled the blanket to cover my body. “You’re big! I told you to stop!” I shouted, feeling embarrassed as he teased me.“Yes, it’s big. You tasted it last night.
“Agustin…”Agustin blinked and looked up to see Gabriel, who was once again worried about him. “Sorry,” Agustin muttered, rubbing his temples as he realized he had dozed off.“No, it’s okay. But, are you okay?” Gabriel asked. Agustin nodded and sat up.“Yeah,” Agustin replied, holding his head as he felt a headache coming on from all the thoughts in his mind. He was interrupted when Gabriel gently touched his cheek.“Get some rest,” Gabriel smiled, about to stand up when Agustin grabbed his hand and brushed his cheek. Gabriel’s eyes softened as he looked at Agustin, and he smiled, sensing that the young man had a lot on his mind. They stayed in that position for a few minutes before Agustin released his hand and he stood up to return to his work. However, he paused and looked back at Agustin. “Whatever you are thinking, follow your heart, Agustin,” he said with a smile before leaving the room.Agustin was left staring at the door, wondering how Gabriel knew his real name, but he decid
