Nevea slept like a log until the following day. She had ignored Zach's question about her feeling and took her confused mind and heart to sleep. Zach had laughed and mocked her, but she acted like it didn't anger her, and eventually, he gave up and let her rest.

When she woke up, her wrist was finally free. She didn't know when he had decided to unbind their wrist. Maybe their conversation before she slept helped him to put a little trust in her, or perhaps he felt terrible after witnessing her having a bad dream. Or he could have a completely different reason she wasn't aware of.

Nevea moved around the room leisurely as if she owned the room. Then she went to take a bath. She was done only after ten minutes.

She wore an oversized black shirt paired with grey trousers, which she guessed belonged to Zach because they didn't smell new.

After that, she left the room and tried to look for him. This was the first time she wandered without having a pair of heavy chains on her feet or a

The moment he tasted her blood, Zach felt like he was on cloud nine, He remembered tasting her blood when they kissed, but none could compare to biting directly on her neck. Her blood taste devive. It tasted better than the blood he had ever tasted before. His eyes blazed, and, for a second, they bled to golden. He sucked and sucked until the metallic taste of her blood filled his sense. He almost completely lost his mind if Nevea didn't touch his shoulder to wake him from the trance. Zach stopped sucking and then licked the wound on her neck. Resting his temple on her shoulder, Zach tried to calm his heart. His urge to suck her dry was still so potent in his system. "Zach…." She called him. She was so close to moaning his name. "Yes?" He looked at her flushed face. Sweat began to drip from her forehead. "I am burning. Is this normal after getting bitten?" Nevea inquired. She felt hot all over, and her skin prickled each time she sensed him caressing her. "I thought I should feel

Nevea went limp in Zach’s arms. Power completely drained her body after getting her release. She didn’t even care that Zach had begun washing her. She let him do whatever he wanted because she was so tired that she only wanted to sleep. “Look at you so obedient,” Zach muttered, lifting her from the tub. He took her back to the bedroom and helped her to wear one of his clothes; then, he tucked her under the blanket. Before, he had thought to go all the way with her, but then he changed his mind because he didn’t like the thought that she would let him have her under the influence of the venom. So, he settled with fingering her. They still had many times together, and he would have another chance with her. For now, he let Nevea rest so the venom would wear out from her system. Then, once she got bitten by him again, she would be able to adjust so the effect wouldn’t make her as exhausted as the first time. Zach looked down at his groin, feeling the ache still killing him. His chest

Nevea woke up past midnight, her body still felt weak, and her head was spinning. She tried to move, but her movement was restrained because she was tightly embraced. Finally, she looked up, founding Zach sleeping soundly. She tapped Zach's body, wanting it to hurt him, but with no power left, it only ended up like a feather touch. "Zach, I can't breathe."He then loosened his hold and lowered his head. His sleepy eyes stared straight at her. "Sleep, Nevea. You need a lot of energy for tomorrow." He stated and patted her head lightly. "What for? I will rest for the entire day." Zach didn't bother to tell her about the meeting with Vlassta or that her friend was staying with them. Zach believed she would jump to protective mode and dash straight to Lola's room if she knew."I doubt you'd say the same words tomorrow.""Why? What are you hiding?"Zach utterly ignored her question. He snuggled on her neck, inhaling her calming scent until he felt drunk. Their position changed, and now

Zach opened the door to his study for her. This was the first time he let someone else besides Silas enter his favorite space. "What do you want to discuss with me?" Nevea rested her butt on the L-shaped couch. Then, she lifted her feet and let them lay flatly on the couch. "It better be important because I don't want to waste my time playing."Zach leaned on the desk, legs crossing and arms folding up his front. "You know about the mission Vlassta is talking about, don't you?" Nevea played with the puffy pillow, averting her eyes from Zach's keen gaze. "I don't.""You should know by now that I can tell when you lie. The truth, Nevea." He urged. "What do you want to do if I know about it? It doesn't change anything." Of course, that was a lie, but Zach would have to be content with her reply. "What makes you think it doesn't? Our views are polar apart." "Drop it, Zach. I don't want to talk about it. I need to think first." She said, sounding a little more aggressive than she had

The way Nevea’s black eyes looked at her made Lola shiver in fear. What she felt right now was pure fear, one that she always felt when she fought with a strong rogue. “Nevea?” Lola tried to call again as she stepped backward carefully. Her heart had started drumming the instant her eyes locked with Nevea’s.“You look scared,” Nevea said. Her tone was laced with coldness. Lola stared at Nevea as if she was another person. Lola had never seen Nevea’s eyes turn black or heard Nevea’s icy tone. It only made her fear grow even bigger to Nevea. “Don’t blame the little innocent Nevea for all the killing. It’s me who did that, not her.” Nevea prowled toward Lola in slow motion. “Although I only did that to follow her heart, hahaha.” She laughed, then suddenly added. “Oh, I slipped. Forget about my previous words. It’s nothing.”Lola gulped and reached for the doorknob. “Don’t be scared. Nevea will be sad if she knows you are scared of her.”“Why are you talking as if you are not Nevea?” L

Zach couldn’t take his eyes off Nevea’s neck. The wound was completely healed, leaving a trail of marks that almost looked like a tattoo. But, unlike the first time he saw it, now it seemed like Nevea’s neck was hugged by a thorn tattoo. “She said I successfully marked her but only bit her.” Zach trailed her mark, silently wishing he could get a clue from it. All the things that happened for the past few days were too confusing. He had never entertained the idea of another kin existing somewhere, but now it seemed like he and Nevea were pulled into a crazy situation that both of them had no knowledge of. “Your majesty,” Silas called from the outside, waiting for Zach’s permission to enter. “Come in.”Silas entered the room and saw Zach watching Nevea from her side, looking lost. It reminded him of the past when Zach used to look like that while asking his mother to bring Nevea back. Fate sure was funny; now he could witness the same thing. “Ms. Mast has been locked in her room, an

"He wanted me to suffer, but under his hands. What a crazy vampire." Nevea murmured as she walked to Lola's room. Yesterday's event was still blurry in her mind, and Zach's words before she pushed him out of the room left her completely and utterly unsettled. Why? Because her heart was drumming insanely fast for absolutely no good reason. She didn't want to have a feeling. Not for him. First, there was a possibility that she had to kill him to stay alive. Two, because it seemed like their path wasn't easy, it would be full of suffering. And she, of course, didn't want to suffer. The way Zach behaved before and after she escaped somehow also turned out for the better. He still irritates her, though. But he wasn't trying to hurt her anymore, like putting her in a room full of rogues. Something shifted in him, but she still didn't know why it happened. Someone like him wouldn't change so quickly. "Get me out here!" The sound of Lola's scream made Nevea halt a few steps away from th

Nevea watched as Zach broke down in front of her. The tears and his pained face made her breath stuck in her throat. She didn't know what had happened. One moment Zach was observing her. The next moment, he dashed in her direction in desperation. "Zach, hey, you okay?" Instead of answering her, Zach kept on sobbing. His body trembled tremendously while he continued to beg her to wake up. After overcoming her shock, Nevea finally could guess what had happened to him. A vision. And it wasn't a pretty one. Nevea then squatted down, taking his hands on hers, then stroking them gently. Hoping that it might help him to realize that what he saw wasn't happening at the current time. "I am here. Wake up." New vampires they had turned before were put in the coffin. They were positioned in a circle. At the center was a flat stone, a place for Nevea.Efrain laughed, knowing he would get what he wanted in a matter of hours. Years of waiting in agony would be worth it. Efrain snapped his head to the back. “Ah, Zach and our fairy are already here,” Efrain mumbled. Then inhaled and exhaled through his mouth before focusing on making an illusion for them. That should be enough to make Zach busy. “What about Vlassta, Master?”“Release our warrior.” “Understood, Master.”***Nevea, Zach, and Vlassta moved inside the forest from different sides. Zach walked at the front while extending his hand to Nevea so they would not separate. Silas was also with them. He trailed behind Nevea. They had decided to l

"Everything has been settled, Master." Gio talked while sitting far away from his master. "Have you found out about the other fairy?" Gio's body tremored because he did not get a whim of the fairy who messed with their place. It only meant that the fairy was not as clueless as Nevea. Perhaps, the fairy was here on a mission. "Unfortunately, I can't find anything, Master."Efrain, the master, waved his hand in the air producing a strong wind that went in Gio's direction. The wind managed to slice the skin on Gio's cheek, yet his loyal servant did not budge from his seat. Gio received the punishment willingly since he was not capable enough. "Prepare the puppet and leave me alone." Efrain walked back and forth in his room. He had an inkling that the other fairy would ruin his plan. More importantly, he could guess that the fairy would do something unimaginable. For now, he was sure that the fairy wanted Nevea. "Zach, Vlassta, and now there is another fairy involved." Raven rubbed his eyes after seeing Nevea sleep peacefully on the chair next to his bed. The woman appeared to be peaceful. Her hair which had now changed to brown fell freely on her back. Her chest kept rose and falling in a steady rhythm. The view that greeted him brought a content smile to Raven’s mouth. Gathering all his power, Raven changed his position to sit and face Nevea directly. He watched her intently like a fool in love. Oh, right. He was indeed a fool in love. It felt like years since the last time he saw her. So against his better judgment, Raven extended his hand to reach for her and feel her cheek against his skin. The warmth made Raven’s smile bloom even more. He swore he could watch her like this for eternity. “Stop looking at my woman like that.” Came cold and dangerous to destroy all the fairy tales in Raven’s head. After their talk, Nevea and Zach spend their time searching for a clue by hanging out in the library. First, they read each book that contains demons and fairies. But, all the information they got was far from what they had experienced. When they read the history of demons, it is always related closely to hell and another sort of religion. And about fairies, it was just a story of a bunch of cute little things. What they read was pretty much useless. Not even once they mentioned purity. Kindness was there, but the ridiculous rule about desire was not mentioned. At this point, they were desperate. There was no way of knowing if these things unless they got all the puzzles inside their head. Kiara was out of options because that woman literally ceased from earth. Not only Kiara but Jude also went missing. There was no trace of Gio either. “What about your human friend?”“Raven? There has been no reply until today.”“Your friend is useless. Raven read the words on the tiny papers in his hand. Robert Dixon is working with The Bloody Movement. Don’t tell Logan until you get concrete proof. There was no sign of who wrote that note. It just appeared out of the blue three days ago. Since then, Raven could not look at Robert the same way. His mind filled with many speculations about that doctor. So, he began looking for a clue. “You’ve been staring at dr. Dixon for too long. Are you changing your preference after Nevea’s rejection?” Lola asked as she chewed her food. She had realized Raben’s strange gaze towards Robert since yesterday. At first, she thought that maybe Raven had something to discuss with Robert, but after seeing the intensity of Raven’s stare, Lola was not sure anymore that Raven wanted to consult with Robert. “Nonsense.”“Then why are you looking at him like that? You look like a creep.”“Don’t mind me; just eat your food,” Raven told her, then focused again on Robert. When Robert finally stepped out of

As if everything was not enough. A sudden mass of vampires came from each side of the corner, surrounding Nevea and Zach. The new vampires stared at them with intense killing intent in their eyes. Zach scoffed. The nerve that bloody movement people for making this stupid plan. He looked at Nevea, who had lost half of her consciousness while battling with her pain. He caressed her hair softly and then murmured. "I'll be back."After saying that, Zach immediately went into a complete killing machine. He slayed each vampire that tried to get close to him or Nevea. He brutally killed them without battling an eye. He smiled each time he ripped the vampire's head from its body. Despite the heavy scent of blood and the loud echo of their cry, Zach found that it brought him a sense of peace. It was like this is how it was supposed to be. Him killing everyone without mercy. "All of you should die." He said, then snapped the vampire's head. Since he was focusing on the front, one of the v

As the process was done, Gio and Robert left the container. Leaving Jude alone to deal with the rest of the task. Zach kicked the closet open and walked out without worrying that Gio and Robert would be back again. Nevea trailed behind Zach, still in shock that Robert was part of The Bloody Movement. "Where is their final destination?" Zach inquired while scanning the whole area again. "We will bring them to another container in Grouver." "Drive normally, and we will be right behind you."Jude obeyed. Once again, Zach and Nevea drove in silence. They followed the big truck that brought twenty new vampires to Grouver. The snippet of Robert and Gio's conversation still left a bad taste in Zach's mouth. He wondered who their master was because the master seemed to know a lot more than Kiara. Zach believed it would be good to meet face-to-face with the so-called master. "Do you think we should tell Logan about Robert?" Nevea probed the question that had been bugging her for a while

Fortunately, after hugging him for a while, Zach regained his composure back. However, he still refused to talk about his feelings. “To hunt for the bloody movement. They are going to perform another transforming process today in Stormsire.” “How did you know that?”“I have my way.”The rest of the journey was spent in silence. Nevea didn’t bother to dig further into Zach’s informant and kept his mouth shut for the whole ride. Seeming not wanting to talk with her for even a second. When they passed the gate, the familiar views greeted them.Unlike the first time she visited, it was pouring hard this time, making the busy road turn silent. Only a few were wandering outside. Their car came to a halt in front of the bar. Zach’s elbow rested on the car’s window while his other hand gripped the steering wheel. H
