CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT: Sleeping pills.

I struggle to keep afloat, fighting against the invisible hands of the water pulling me back down farther and farther into the pool.

I try to hold my breath for a second longer but I find myself losing the battle as my lungs struggle for just one breath of air.

I feel myself sink lower and lower into the pool. as I gulp in mouthfuls of water till I feel my lungs start to constrict.

Just when I'm on the brink of losing consciousness, I feel a hand around my waist and I'm brought up to the surface. I cough and sputter water out of my nose and mouth. I couldn't get in enough air.

The lady who brought me out of the water stays silent by my side, probably not knowing what to do.

“Thank you for saving me.” I say the moment I get myself under control.

“Why were you by the pool if you didn't know how to swim?” The lady asks in an annoyed tone.
