Levana's POV

I ran to my room, tears filling my eyes as I remembered what just happened. Alessandro has just rejected me in front of everyone. What do I do? The pregnancy? How do I cope?

"Hey Lev, stop crying baby. Wild your tears. That mother fucker don't deserve your tears at all. Don't shed any tears for him." She pulled me into her warm embrace as I sobbed.

"What about my baby, Sarah? I can't bear it. How could he embarrass me in front of everyone like that?" I sobbed further.

"It's okay. We'll tell him about the pregnancy so he would take his resp-"

I jerked out from her embrace, "I can't do that. He rejected me, meaning he rejects everything I have and everything that has to do with me. I'm not ready to do anything with him or have anything to do with him again."

Sarah strolled towards me, "I know how it feels but you can't cope all by yourself Levy. Please just tell him, he will help in taking care of the baby in any way he can. Besides you know it's a taboo to stay pregnant in the pack without having a mate or pointing out who made you pregnant. They'll soon find out you're expecting a child and you might even risk your life for it."

I broke into another sob upon realizing the painful truth, everything Sarah had just said Waec the bitter truth, it was against the pack law for single mother and when they noticed it they'll banish you or kill you. But it was better to run. Yes, I'll run far away I wasn't ready to confront Alessandro about the pregnancy or he might even mock me saying the child isn't his. I quickly scanned through the room and pulled out a small box, searching through my wardrobe I ran my hands on what was important as I wouldn't want to take much.

Sarah moved towards me "What? What are you doing dear?"

I didn't answer but I continued packing. She dragged my arm and turned me to face her, "what the hell are you doing Sarah?"

"I'm moving out of the pack, - I can't do this, I have to move out. For myself, for my unborn child too. Please allow me go." Tears turned in my eyes.

"What? You can't do this Levana. You can't leave your home because you were rejected by your mate. Please reconsider your choice. You have to relax and make decisions when your head is calm."

"There's nothing to think about Sarah. Don't I look attractive enough? He rejected me because I'm weak, the moon Goddess must be happy after finding out that I have been rejected by someone whom she proclaimed was supposed to be my mate." My throat grew dry.

Sarah stood at the corner with her hands in her mouth as she watched me.

"Don't cry Sarah. It's for my own good. I'll go to my Aunt's place and I promise you that she will take care of me. Just be fine." I enveloped her into a tight hug.

In the next minute I was already done packing the important stuff I needed to take along with me. It was a portable bag and it won't bring much suspicion from the other pack members if I was seen with it. I didn't want anyone to know about my escape plan. I was already embarrassed enough and I didn't want to be disgraced further. The plan was to move to the city, my Aunt's house. My Uncle has always wanted me to live and grow in their house but I chose here because of the memories of my family that I had here but now the four walls of this moonlit pack now hunt me and pose as a threat to me. I would move over there to restart my life and put every memory I have here 6- feet in the ground.

Sarah waved me goodbye as I moved further into the darkness that has already enveloped me. The night was cold and thick, noises from rustling leaves and only the moon posed as a source of light.

I found my way through the darkness with so much difficulty. I didn't come with my phone because I wasn't ready for calls or to avoid the chance of being traced. In less than 30 mins, I would hit the road and find my way to the city.

**********

I hadn't registered the house number the first day I came here so it was such a great difficulty to locate their house amongst plenty of similar houses painted with the same colour.

I regretted leaving my cell phone at the house because it would have been really helpful now.

But a cheerful voice jerked me out of my thoughts.

"Levana? Oh my! What are you doing here?" Michelle my Aunt scanned my body.

"Nothing, I'm fine Aunt. I'm good, I came here to spend some days with you in the city because- I..." And I broke into another sob.

"Jeez, Levana come on in and tell me what's wrong. I hope you're fine?" She pulled me into the house.

"I'm fine. Just some wrong hormones." I tried to pretend.

"What hormones? Come on, tell me what's wrong. Why did you come to the city, did anything happen in the pack house? I mean it's so unlike you." She asked with concern etched on her face as she searched my eyes.

"Alessandro rejected me Aunt. He was supposed to be my mate but he rejected me in front of the entire pack and even visitors today."

"What? You mean you were rejected by your mate today and that's Alpha Alessandro?" She was more surprised than I had been when I was rejected.

"Why? Did you do anything with him? Why did he do that? That's so unlike him. I mean he rejected a pretty lady like you and-"

"I haven't gotten my wolf yet Aunt. He called me weak and said I wasn't fit for the Luna's title. He said he needs someone who is strong and capable to stand beside him as Alpha." I explained further to my Aunt.

It was now that the rejection dawned on me, it reminded me of my weakness as an Omega and my position in the pack. I felt helpless and weak for the first time in a long time. I haven't felt something like this, not when Dante mocked me or make me beg for his attention.

I made it a duty to glimpse through all the files of my pack members so that I would know how we have been improving, and any slack, I'd correct it immediately. A knock sounded at my door when my eyes stopped at the file of the motherless babies, and I quickly noted to myself to get them full supplies of all they'd be needing all through this week before I turned towards the door, and asked whoever it was to come in. They knew it to be important before disturbing me from work. The door flew open and Carlos, who was both my Beta and best friend, walked in like he owned the place. There was a mischievous glint in his eyes, and I instantly knew that he was up to no good. “Spill it out. Now.” I ordered with a frown. If he was affected by the tone of my voice, he didn't let it show. Instead, a smirk graced the sides of his lips,
