"I suggest we expand the casino so we'd attract more tourists since our target is foreigners and businessmen. What do you think, Mr. Syruis?" His eyes widened, and he sat up after hearing what I said. Tsk, tsk. He obviously wasn't listening to the meeting because he had been staring at me while playing with his ballpoint pen for a while. He smiled hesitantly before looking around at the people sitting at the long table, who were now waiting for what he had to say. They were all focused on him, so I couldn't help but grin because of his state.

"I agree with, uh, Ms. Xedler. That's a very nice suggestion." I nodded before continuing. I need to earn their trust as soon as possible. They all still have doubts about my ability, but I won't let them think of me like that over time.

I sat on the swivel chair while signing the papers handed to me by my secretary. I still hadn't eaten, so I could feel my stomach growling, but I didn't pay attention to it and continued, but Styx grabbed my attention, and now the man was shamelessly staring at me.

My brows furrowed.

"What?"

"Nothing," he mouthed, shaking his head. I sighed and continued my business.

The meeting resumed after a five-minute break. I was about to leave the meeting room when someone grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. His manly scent reached my nose.

I first looked around at the people, but they didn't seem to be doing anything and were doing their own business, so they wouldn't notice us.

"What now, Styx?" I hissed.

"Let's talk, please," he said, his voice begging.

I nodded and walked into my own office first. I just moved here yesterday, and I expect Styx to be this naughty, especially now that we will meet more often. That was not a problem for me because everything was in my favour.

"Five minutes, Mr. Styx. You have my five minutes now," I said casually before sitting in my chair. He messed up his hair and even the arrangement of his black necktie before focusing his bright eyes on me.

"Xia..." He stepped forward until he was now standing so close to me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know. I swear, I tried searching for you—

"Forgiven," I cut him off. His eyes grew bigger, and his mouth was left hanging open. He blinked twice before processing what I'd just said.

"W-What?" he said, unable to believe what he had just heard. He walked, and our distance got closer. I smiled and stood up to meet him. Tears rolled down his face as he grabbed both of my cheeks and pressed our foreheads together.

"That fast?" He still couldn't believe it.

I nodded. "Don't you want it?" I laughed, pretending to be having fun, but deep inside, my anger was rising.

"N-No. I'm just surprised. I thought you were mad at me."

"Yes, I am." I caressed his cheek, and he immediately closed his eyes as if feeling the warmth as our skin touched.

"Styx, you don't seem to know me. You know that I easily forgive people." Lies. It was all a lie.

He smiled and was about to bring our lips together, but I quickly pushed him away and glared at him.

"But I would never forget what they did to me—the reasons why I suffer." I almost choked on my words.

He looked at me, confused.

"Leave," I ordered firmly, but he didn't budge and held both of my hands.

"Xhia, I regret everything. I promised, and I will do everything to make you forgive me. I know you suffered a lot." He swallowed. His eyes were red, and there were tears in the corner of his eye.

"I love you; please don't do this to me." I'm tired of hearing his words, so I pushed him away from me while my hands were trembling because of the anger that I had been keeping inside my chest.

"Fuck it, that's enough! It's not that because I forgave you, everything will be all right! Styx, you tricked me and fooled me, and you still have the courage to say that now? Aren't you ashamed? Where do you get the courage to show up? to me? It's not like once my world revolves around you, it would be like that for the rest of my life! I've made a fool of myself once, and I'll regret that for the rest of my life!" I had tears in my eyes as I looked at him. His tears started to fall, and his lips twitched. He tried to hold my hand again, but I avoided it.

"Because that caused me to be destroyed more than I expected, Styx," I added weakly.

He shook his head a few more times before trying to hold my hand, and this time I didn't push him away. He raised it to his lips and stared at me with pleading eyes. He planted a kiss on my fist again before pressing our foreheads together. I closed my eyes to calm myself down and gave silent thanks because not even a drop of tears had been lost to me. I would never let him see me miserable again. Not ever again.

"I love you so much, Xhia," he said, his voice full of tenderness. He planted a kiss on my forehead.

"S-Styx," I said nervously as he kissed the bridge of my nose as well. I swallowed several times because the wind blew differently in my office. The air conditioning is on and working properly, but it's already very hot at four o'clock in the afternoon. Plus, the only thing I could hear was our breathing.

"Yes?" he whispered while kissing both of my cheeks. I blushed.

"But you cheat—" He didn't let me finish; our lips met, and his mouth moved aggressively. I closed my eyes as I gasped, but he started pinching my waist, which made my mouth go agape. He didn't waste any time, and he pushed his tongue inside my mouth. I couldn't push him, so I just let him explore every inch of my mouth. I moaned quietly because he kept squeezing my waist and angling his face to deepen the kiss.

I closed my eyes and returned his kiss. He raised his hand and placed it on my neck to deepen our kiss. He knocked his tongue against my teeth and tasted every corner of my mouth. I moaned softly every time his hand came to my waist and squeezed it. I couldn't take it anymore, so I pushed him to catch my breath. We were both panting, and I knew that at this time my face was red. He was staring into my eyes as if he were drunk from the kiss we shared. The taste of the mixture of alcohol he just drank and his saliva still lingers in my mouth.

"Xia..." he whispered again and planted a kiss on my lips. "I fucking hate myself for losing you." He bit my lip and pulled it teasingly.

"And I will never let that happen again. I will make sure that you will be mine again." My chest pounded. I put my fist on his chest just as he was about to kiss me again.

"Styx, that's too much, I stuttered. I closed my eyes when I felt like I was about to fall off the floor due to my weak knees.

"Stay away," I ordered as I did the same. I sat in the office chair and avoided looking at him. I can still feel the tingling in my stomach, and I can't believe what I did earlier. He kissed me, and I responded. I fucking respond!

"Do you have a schedule tonight?" He stopped at my table and peered into my face. I scolded him and turned my face away from him, causing him to laugh.

"Why?" I rolled my eyes at him. I have nothing to do tonight.

"Let's have dinner." I was slightly stunned, but I didn't show it. I simply grinned before moving my fingers on the table, causing it to create noise between us.

"I'm busy," I replied casually. His forehead creased. He also rubbed his hand and bent down to look at me. Same old Styx. Not agreeing not to follow his will.

He sighed. "Please... "

"Okay, 7 PM sharp," I said quickly, and he said 'yes' and quickly hugged me with great joy. I secretly laughed, so I bit my lip to silently celebrate.

Nothing has changed; he's still silly.

It was only 6:50 PM when I arrived at the mall where we were going to meet. I chose the place because I knew he was going to take me to an expensive restaurant. Not that I'm picky, but I prefer eating at fast food chains because I feel like I'm on the same level as the people around me.

I was walking into the mall when someone grabbed my arm. I was about to shake it off, but I immediately smelled his familiar scent.

"I miss you," he said softly, kissing my forehead. I closed my eyes at what he did.

"Let's go?" I nodded, and he clasped our hands together. I looked at it and secretly smiled. I'm sure Duex is proud of me for accomplishing our first plan.

When we entered the mall, we were greeted by many people rushing in the same direction. Styx and I looked at each other because we heard a noise at the bottom of the mall. We tried to get closer to the escalator to take a peek, and we heard familiar music as we held hands and watched a man sing on stage.

His face is familiar to me. He must be an artist because there are young people holding a poster and his face is there. I winced because the women were already making noise.

Styx's grip on my hand tightened, causing me to look at him. I saw the frown on his face, and he seemed annoyed.

"Why?" I asked because his face suddenly changed.

"He's looking at you," he uttered bitterly, so my gaze returned to the man on stage. True, he was looking in our direction but not at me. To the girl next to me, who was also looking at him stupidly.

Oh my. I mentally laughed. They looked cute.

"Come on." Styx pulled me away from there with a frown on his face. I held back my laughter because that man was too young for me, and I didn't even know him.

"Where will we go?? "I asked, but he ignored me and muttered something that I couldn't hear.

"Hey, Styx, if you continue being like that, I better go home." I was about to break away from his hold, but he quickly tightened his grip on it and pulled me towards a restaurant. I grinned because he was still pouting like a kid, but my smile quickly disappeared because I remembered that I was just acting.

He's still a jealous guy.
