Famke was exhausted. Not only had they gone shopping, and skating, and to see the Christmas tree, but Precious had dragged them on a walk all through Central Park and to her favorite restaurant she used to go with her Daddy.

Bram had entered the house, told Famke he’d see her tomorrow, and went straight to his room and closed the door. They weren’t used to spending this much time with strangers and she knew his head was likely pounding from the over-exposure to an excitable child. She had caught him more than once staring at her with a sad look on his face and she knew he was feeling guilty. Prince Robinson had paid for his treatment and in exchange she had given him a child. A child she had only met in person a very brief time ago and a fool could see Famke was growing incredibly attached to her.
