He then pulled his phone from his bag, locating a photo that he showed to Jade.

Jade took the phone with a puzzled expression, scrutinizing the image of a chaotic scene where students crowded her dorm room to watch the commotion.

At first glance, the photo seemed inconsequential, but upon closer inspection, Jade noticed something significant.

Although the photo was hastily taken and incomplete, Ernesto had inadvertently captured Jade's desk from an angle that revealed the absence of the drafts.

Looking at the students in the room, most appeared curious about the interior, except for one who was exiting with her head down, seemingly holding something.

Since only the back of the person was visible, Jade couldn't confirm if she was the thief who had stolen Melanie's drafts. She only noted that the young woman had long hair and no other distinguishing features.
