Chapter 266

Seeing Neve lose her composure so easily, Jacob gave her a nudge, thinking she was useless.

"Jade, why are you looking at us like that?" Jacob tried to appear sorrowful. "We're all sad about Grandma's accident. I used to be a jerk, but I'm her grandson. Her accident has hit me harder than anyone else."

Jacob wiped away his crocodile tears. If Jade didn't know his true nature, she might have believed him.

"It's good that you think that way," Jade said lightly.

Neve chimed in. "Things are what they are now, and we have to accept them. The doctors still can't find out why Grandma collapsed or when she'll wake up. As her grandchildren, we can't just sit idly by."

"What do you suggest?" Jacob and Neve started performing a double act.

"Taking care of Grandma is our responsibility. I suggest we take turns. One person per day," Neve proposed.

Jacob nodded. "I agree."

He looked at Jade and asked, "What do you think, Jade?"
