The fact that Tiffany defended her deeply moved Jade.

Tiffany wouldn't listen to Merida, so they reached a stalemate until Merida finally relented. "Fine, you can chat for only half an hour. After that, she must leave."

Merida left the ward with a snort.

Once the door closed, Tiffany reclined on the bed and motioned for Jade and Melanie to take a seat.

The ward exuded luxury, boasting ample space and bright lighting, complete with its own kitchen and bathroom.

Melanie marveled at the opulence. "Wealthy folks sure have a different way of living."

Tiffany smiled, then shifted her gaze to Jade. "Are all our classmates alright?"

"They've all returned safely," Jade replied with a smile.

Seeing apples in the fruit basket, she picked one up, peeled it, cut it into slices, and offered it to Tiffany.

Tiffany accepted it after a moment of hesitation.

As she and Jade exchanged smiles, it seemed like something was gradually melting between them
