I woke up to an empty bed, the activities of the previous night playing in my mind. It was gross and I wondered where Jade went. The sun was already up and there wasn't going to be training today. I recalled Blevine's vampire instinct, instantly dashing to the shower room to have a quick bath.
I dressed up in shorts and a tank top and went to her room to check on her. I knocked on the door three times but there was no answer. I turned the knob, pushed the door slightly and peeped through it. As expected, she was sleeping on the bed alone, which made me understand that Duke was with Jade. I went to sit beside her on the bed and gently nudged her.
"Are you okay?" She asked me as soon as her eyes snapped open. It was quite touching that even in her condition, she still recalled mine.
