Isabella
Alpha Jade took the driver seat and since Blevine and Duke snuggled to each other in the back seat of the Porsche Cayenne, I had no choice but to sit beside him. The smile never left his face throughout the journey. It felt like he wasn't carrying the whole world with him at this time. The Moon Star Pack was beautiful. It didn't seem to be affected by the war at all. The buildings were all similar, built like estate houses of one storey. The ambience was serene with lots of greenery that one could not help falling in love with.It made my heart bitter when I recalled the state in which I saw my kingdom. Even the plantations were destroyed, I wondered how my people were surviving. I also realized that I didn't know anything about Prince Marcus's vision - whether or not he was going to be a good King. The scenery made the one hour journey a ten minute one. Still, I couldn't tear my eyes off the amenities of the Moon Star Pack. Everywhere, the units hadIsabella "Use this side of the closet," Alpha Jade began rearranging things in his closet as he spoke. He was so gentle, and warmth had returned to his eyes. I wanted to tell him that he didn't have to because there was still enough space for me without him rearranging his clothes but seeing how neatly and professionally his clothes were arranged, I couldn't do the same. Somehow, I enjoyed the freedom of doing things by myself in contrast to the castle but it was only embarrassing when I didn't know how to do something I so much wanted to do. I wondered how long it would take for Prince Marcus to rescue me but I had also forgotten that something was missing from our perfectly hatched plan. How do I get the information to Prince Marcus when the deed was done? "Thank you," were the only two words that came out of my mouth. My heart was thumping with the hope that he would soon leave the room to ease the tension cruising through me but the fact couldn't be erased that I
Isabella "Luna Crane, watch your tongue," Beta Duke roared, his hand balled into a fist as he hit the dining table, so hard, it shook violently. He was even scarier than the Alpha when he was angry. Luna Crane cowered in fear. Once again, the bubbling atmosphere was ruined because the Alpha had also turned cold. What I realised was, the Alpha spoke less when he was upset. Luna Crane moved in unsteady steps close to the dining table. "I'm sorry, Beta Duke. It's just that you never conveyed my meeting requests to the Alpha." Even with her submission, she still maintained a tough fearless gaze when she spoke. "Luna Crane, didn't we speak a few hours ago?" Alpha Jade's voice was cold, just as his gaze, it made me uneasy. Anytime I saw him this way, the nightmares kept playing in my mind. "Yes Alpha but you didn't take action immediately which is unlike you." I wanted to cover my face in embarrassment for Luna Crane. I don't know what her p
Supreme Alpha Jade Navajo has been pleasant ever since our mate moved into our room. I have been able to make him understand that we can't accept her, and complete the mate bond but he's satisfied with her presence and overly possessive of her, making me assure him that I would never let her leave us. While this calms him, my manly urges towards my mate increase every time. The first night we slept together, I had to use my hands to relieve myself from the urges when she was sleeping. It was the first time I had an urge so strong, it had to be relieved but this is a sacrifice I have to make for my pack and I was ready to continue this way since I can't stay away from her. During the next training, she would take the blood oath and I would take over her training. She is determined to train better to make herself useful therefore I would make the best of it. It's also very risky for me because of the bond but I have not ever given in to
Isabella I couldn't understand anything anymore. My brain felt like pins piercing through them. Damien gave me a scare when I first saw him but upon closer look, he wasn't the guard I thought he was in the palace. How could I explain to Jade when I couldn't hide my shock. I hope he believed what I said about my memory but I still couldn't get over it. A new form of fear caved into me, I felt restless. What if that seer told on me? Nothing was hidden from the seers though they usually don't speak directly. I had quite a scare, I thought my heart would cease to function. I will be exposed if a seer was consulted and did he say three full moons? It meant I had to work faster but how? All I wanted to do now was to rest my painful head and hope I don't die. Prince Marcus made it clear. It was either I succeeded or I would be dead if they found out who I was. I have to succeed. I just have to. I can't die yet when I haven't made my late father proud.
Isabella Jade trod close to me. He gripped my shoulder tightly, holding me in place, his eyes pinned to mine. "Tell me the truth, Isabella. Do you have any powers?" My body went limp. What was I to say? It was indeed abnormal for me to heal on my own even though it was slow. But I didn't have any powers. His grip on my shoulder was so tight, I felt irritated. Trying to wiggle my way out of his grip only increased his hold on my shoulder. Darkness covered the forest with the moon giving its light, making his expression unreadable. "I don’t know." Disappointment flashed in his eyes at my response as he slowly let go of my shoulder. I couldn't understand what he wanted from me. Would he also hate me as Prince Marcus because I didn't have any powers? "Let's go." I wasn't so tense because I was telling him the truth. It's wonderful how doing the right thing feels good. I just wish my intentions were pure towards him and everyone else at all times. I al
I could predict Alpha Jade's reason for taking over my training. I knew he suspected something. This was his way of studying me closely and it scared me to the core. I feel that I don't even know myself very well so how could I prevent anything that might create suspicion? I also felt that he detected my lies and was searching for the truth inside of me. "You don't want me to be your trainer?" His tone waved of uncertainty and his eyes carried dissatisfaction. There was a bubble of grief in his demeanour and I felt awful. Deep down, I knew that his training would be the best because it drew us closer and helped me achieve my aim but I also couldn't help being frightened. Jade was wise and intelligent. He doesn't mince words and it hasn't been easy putting on this act in front of him. I'm sharing his room and he was going to be my trainer too, which meant I could never leave his side. But I also knew that he would be busy soon. His Supreme and Alpha duties couldn't be ign
Isabella My mind was weaving with so many thoughts. How did he know me? Was he a spy? I swirled around to meet his gaze. It was one of resolve. "Prince Marcus sends his greetings," his confirmation was crisp, I went numb. I gritted my teeth, my body tense, my toes curling into the ground. "What did you say?" "Prince Marcus sends his greetings," he confirmed vividly, his mug was indifferent. I wondered how he did it but there was a facade around him that made his countenance unreadable. "I don't know what you are talking about," I fibbed. Maybe he was just testing me. "Don't pretend around me, Isabella. Prince Marcus was here himself but couldn't reach you because the walls of the packhouse forbid him. He told me to pass a message to you." I felt my muscles re
My first reaction was a stun before I quickly regained myself, telling him my location. "I'm coming to get you," his deep, hasty voice sounded again. I missed him but I was also afraid, especially after knowing that Prince Marcus had infiltrated his pack. I felt like a villain. "No, I will be in the packhouse shortly," I countered. I needed time to put myself together but Jade never took no for an answer and especially not from me. "Stay there, I'm coming to get you." It sounded more like a command. I didn't answer anymore and the mindlink disconnected. "The Alpha is back," Daciana announced. I wondered if she intercepted my mindlink and if that was even possible. "How did you know?" "It's been announced by the Beta. I think the Alpha likes you," she added. I should be flattered but I was scared. Prince Marcus had told me that Alpha Jade never let any woman close but I was sharing his room well with
Jade The two hours Bella spent in that castle was the most nervous two hours of my life. So many fearful questions wove through my psyche. The silent what-ifs and whatnots. When Damien cast the spell, he seemed to be in a trance so I couldn't find out how things were going in there. Duke was just as worried as I was but tried to comfort me. I knew how much he cared for Isabella and almost died because of her so I knew that whatever he felt was genuine. My eyes were glued to my wristwatch as my nervousness turned to despair with every minute that passed without her showing up. I wanted so much to speak with Damien but startling him was tantamount to breaking the spell bond between him and Bella so I kept my eyes fixed on the entrance. Suddenly, he breathed deeply and I knew the link was broken. The two hours were up but Isabella hadn't returned. Has anything happened to her? My attempt to mindlink didn't connect, I broke out in cold sweats, opening the d
IsabellaFinally, I was able to convince Jade to let me go but I felt a missing part of me when he left for training. I wanted to go with him but he refused. He insisted that he needed to do this alone. After he left, I looked back at the state of the pack and began giving out instructions. I didn't think they would obey me at first but they all did. The only surprise we could give Jade was to ensure that the pack was safe and clean in his absence. Duke led the team of warriors to reset the traps that had been destroyed by the psycho Prince Marcus. We changed into working gears and began working tirelessly, lifting trees, burning debris and clearing the pack. While we cleaned the packhouse and mourned Aligiza, the warriors cleaned the strong city. Pack members cleaned their houses, which made it easier. When we were done, we moved to the streets, clearing everywhere before removing fallen trees in the forest. What we couldn't remove was the dirt on the walls of the bui
JadeThe greatest opportunity presented itself. War was a destroyer. I thought it was going to be hard to exert my revenge but Prince Marcus made it easier on me. For as long as none of my pack members was involved, I was void of all fears. My greatest concern was that of losing any of my pack members. For every war that broke out, I worried that someone was going to lose their life.Since I was going to meet him alone, it would settle everything. He just made the biggest, craziest mistake of his life. I will train harder and face him in three days as he proposed. Aligiza's death and that of my warriors, would not be in vain. After accepting the challenge, I couldn't miss the fearful look in my mate's eyes, it made me apprehensive. She trembled when I got close to her. She almost killed Prince Marcus before. We even thought he was dead so what could make her so afraid of him? I was greatly disturbed when she said, "Jade, please don't do it. Don't fight the
Prince MarcusSacrifice was what brought me this far. I gave up my all to gain what I have. Isabella missed by a millimetre. She had no idea that I survived. I saw the horror in her eyes when she saw me today. I could guess the question she kept asking herself was how I survived. When I attacked the Supreme Alpha's pack, I was amazed that he wasn't leading the war himself but everyone he entrusted was up to the task. It was as if he was leading himself. I watched them for a while before joining and was amazed at how Damien handled the vampires. His skills had greatly improved.I looked around for Isabella, knowing she had also received a lot of training, I intended to distract the Supreme Alpha and kidnap her but it didn't work out as planned. Aside from her capabilities, he didn't allow her to join the war, which showed just how much he cared for her. For someone who opportuned on every strength he got, that was a remarkable decision.U
Isabella When Jade told me about the moon goddess, I was filled with profoundness. She was real. Cassandra told me it was just a myth but I didn't believe her. Was it that she didn't know or she was hiding something? I wish I could see the moon goddess too but it seemed she only revealed herself to Jade and most importantly, because of his position. I was glad he confided in me and shared this secret with me. Our night was ruined but it was worth it since it concerned the safety of our pack. We couldn't spend the night in the cabin as planned, and Blevine needed me to try out my dress for the coronation, I couldn't wait. When we got to the packhouse, Blevine and I made our way to her room with Tatiana. The little girl was excited to be around us. She kept jumping all around as I watched her with delight. A designer was waiting for us with sample dresses to choose from. I chose the one that caught my attention. A baby blue royal dress. After we got all t
Jade"Jade, what's wrong," Isabella's voice pulled me from my trance. The moon goddess was no longer there and I knew Isabella hadn't seen her. I didn't want to hide anything from her anymore and for the moon goddess being my guide, it was essential that she knew, but I couldn't tell her now.I kissed Isabella on the forehead. "Bella, I'm checking something around the lake. I will be right back."She gave me a suspicious glare and I knew that she didn't believe me. "Did something happen?" Her curiosity peaked, as she stared caringly at me."No, don't worry. Please stay here. I will be back before you know it," I said and pulled on my trousers. I grabbed my shirt and wore it as I strode out of the door. Before I opened the door, I turned around, my eyes meeting Isabella's flushed face. I smiled apologetically and said, "I'll make it up to you, I promise."She forced a smile that didn't reach her eyes. I knew she was disappointed but for the moon god
JadeI have a great weakness for losses. The pain penetrated so deep, I was unable to endure it, not even for a second. It was a fact. The loss of my warriors affected me so bad but the difference this time was having someone to comfort me and share in my grief. Someone who loved me as much as I loved her. It made so much difference. Her presence was enough to take away the pain I felt. If Isabella wasn't here, I would have mourned their death for weeks unending. She wasn't a weakness but a great strength. The strength to overcome every difficulty thrown at me. Having her by my side, I don't feel so excited being a supreme Alpha. I intend to wipe out the title of supremacy after her coronation. But there was something more. I don't even want to be an Alpha. One secret Isabella doesn't know is that aside from the fact that white wolves find childbearing difficult, the process weakens them. Their wolves are not meant to reproduce, which is why they are scarce. It'
'Our mate is the best,' Rudina giggled with excitement. I knew she would because she wanted to be let out even though she couldn't indulge much in physical activities. I was equally excited to have fun without having to think about wars. I was going to be coronated as the Luna of the Moonstar pack tomorrow and I didn't know how it was going to be.I've never been part of any ceremony and neither have I ever attended one. Despite everything, I know that Blevine would have my back. I walked leisurely towards the forest, hand in hand with Jade. Everyone we met on the way was excited, bowing slowly to us. Jade had allowed everyone to celebrate as they wanted. It was dependent on each and everyone to decide on what to do. You could host a mini party at home or go to the club but whatever it was, it was supposed to make one happy. This was what we chose to do. The air of freedom surrounding us as we walked around was something I had never felt before. It was wonderful and I
Jade's expression was grim when we made our way to the forecourt of the packhouse. I felt invisible by the crowd waiting in the courtyard. My little hands were quite lost inside Jade's big ones, as he held me protectively. I could feel his heart aching. The loss had embittered him. In a time like this, he exhumed a cold aura that shut me out from asking him any questions.Duke had gone to open the underground safe house, letting out the women and children. The smiles on their faces were priceless. I detangled my hands from Jades' when a little body hugged me from the back. I turned around to face her."How are you, Tatiana?" I was instantly filled with excitement at the sight of the little girl. She was radiant and bloomed with smiles."I'm fine, Auntie Isabella. Where is Papa?" She asked excitedly.I met her with the same level of excitement. "Your papa is helping to take care of some injured people," I said to her but she seemed rather placid."W
