NADIA’S POV

Will looked at me intensely like he was trying to understand what I had to say that had to do with Nina. But then, I stood my ground, and raised my chin a bit high, to express this confident look. If I looked less confident, they could wave me off, thinking I was just trying to cause some unnecessary ruckus, or that I must be going crazy because I lost my kids.

“Why do we have to call Nina to this? Is there something going on that I don’t know about?” Will asked, looking baffled.

“You will find out.” I replied, not giving him a soft expression.

Then one of the council members rose to his feet.

“You do know that what you’re doing, isn’t what we call respectful.”

I knew it wasn’t, but I had something to gain, and at least, I would redeem my image that way. The look they usually gave me, ever since I

If I hadn't talked to mum, I might have still been stuck in my problem. The twins were gone, and Nadia was mourning. Seeing her mourn was like peace to my soul. She had dared to be the center of attention. How dare she?I bet the ugly, little things were starving and crying for their mum. They didn't know they would never see her if I wanted it.I got up from the table, dropped my blow dryer, and walked to my bedside in my bathrobe."We ought to have a huge celebration, Nina." I said, picking up the wine bottle on the bedside table. I poured wine generously into my glass, and cheered to the mirror.A large amount of the wine made it down my throat on my f

NADIA'S POV.“Ma'am,” I heard, followed by a gentle knock on my door. I got to my feet, and opened it. It was a maid, and she bowed.“There's someone here to see you.” She informed me.“Who?” I asked. The maid looked like she tried to remember the name given to her, and I waited.“Miss… Miss Anya, Anna! Miss Anna.” She said, as soon as she recalled, and I smiled at her. “I'm sorry. I was recruited recently, so I'm yet to know all the names of the people that visit.” She said, nervously, and I smiled.“That's fine. You'll adapt slowly.” I replied, and left my room to see Anna. I was quite pleased to hear Anna had come to see me.Following the recent events, I needed to spend less time alone, and more time with people

I want Beauty and the Beast.” Zayn replied.“No! That's too boring. I want to listen to Sleeping beauty.” Zelda replied, blushing.“How many times do we have to listen to that! I know all the lines in my head.” Zayn snapped with a cute pout, as he crossed his arms in an odd way. Each hand held the other arm when they were supposed to be tucked in his chest.“Then wait until I know all the lines in my head, too.” Zelda replied wittily.“When is that going to happen?”“When I listen to it twenty more times.”“Twenty? ALPHA WILL’S POVThe fact that Nadia had interrupted our meeting and had asked for Nina’s presence as she wanted to reveal something, but didn’t end up revealing it when Nina was nowhere to be found, was kind of disturbing.I didn’t know Nadia to be this way and for her to have come out to us and inform us she had something to say, she must have been serious with it.What could it be that she had to say that involved Nina? What transpired between both of them? Or did Nadia get a whiff of any of Nina’s secret? Or could she be acting this way because of Zayn and Zelda whom we don’t know of their location? I couldn’t just fathom what exactly was the issue, and this was beginning to get frustrating. The best thing to do was to call Nadia and ask her about it.I rose to my feet and walked out of my room, then headed towards hers.

It had been a long while since we had a deep conversation, so tomorrow might as well be the day.And rather than informing him I would be coming over; a surprise won’t be bad either. As i adjusted my head on the pillow, it was as if I had automatically drifted my mind from Titan to Nina.Somehow, I felt there was something off somewhere. Nina must have done something which Nadia might have found out and I will ensure to find it out and punish Nina regardless of anything. Nadia must have been feeling scared that she wouldn’t be lucky revealing the truth if Nina was absent.I understood that fact. Anyone would want to make sure that they don’t bite themselves in the tail, just by trying to prove something. Well, i hope I got to the root of it a

NINA’S POVMrs. Flagg who I had come to see had not been able to meet with me due to some emergencies she had, here and there, but it was fine with me. I could wait for a thousand days just to meet with her, and being here was more like a holiday for me.A nice vacation, away from the annoying scenes that were playing out back at home was also needed, and that reminded me. I had not checked up on John ever since she left California, so I decided to put a call through to him.The dial tone rang for a while and I was almost thinking he was going to answer the call until the call connected all of a sudden.“Good evening, ma’am.” He greeted me respectfully.“Yeah. How are the kids?” I asked, trying to know their state of condition.“They are still held hostage, ma’am. You haven’t come over to check on them, since then. Are you perhaps wa

Although, such an attitude could be seen as trespassing and was against the moral code, but the curiosity to know who could be there, overshadowed the strength of my morality. We are close friends. It shouldn’t seem too much like a trespass. I began to climb up the stairs, and walked down the hall from which I heard the sound of those giggles. Although, I didn’t hear it again, but I could still remember the part of the house it came from.As I got to the first room, I pushed the door open and walked in, then scanned around, but there was no one there. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit

NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Peace

NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Brooding

NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry

ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   A yearning hope

NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Death?

NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Unbelievable

ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Her end

NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
