ALPHA WILL'S POV
A knock came on my door, and I urged the person to come in. It was my secretary, and she walked in with the schedule book in her hand.
“This is the schedule for tomorrow which you asked for, sir.” She uttered, and handed over the schedule book to me.
I nodded my head in acknowledgement as I collected it, and then she bowed a little before leaving.
Then I went through my schedule for tomorrow, and I was fine with it. It wasn't too packed up, even if it was busy as usual.
After checking it out, I closed it up, and then stood up, ready to head home to have a good sleep or do something else. I packed up my brief case with a few necessaries, and then headed out of my office.
As soon as I got to the lobby, I received a call from Isabella.
“Why could she be callin
PENELOPE'S POV“Could I get your contact? I have somewhere urgent to head to, right now.” I requested, and he was willing to give me his contact. After giving me his contact, I went my own way. I hailed a cab, and when I got in, I dialed the person's number, but he or she wasn't answering the call.“Oh, no. Please don't do this to me.” I pleaded as I tried the number again. It was still the same ringing, with no response. I bit my lips, beginning to get frustrated, but all that went out in one puff when I saw a text message from the number I was trying to reach out to.“Come over to the address I'll be sending as another text.”I grunted, and blew out some air. Sometimes, people just didn't know how to help.I gave them the flier just so they could call me if they spot Nadia, not to
NINA'S POVI felt so stressed about the sight I witnessed last night. It was so difficult to sleep that I didn't even know when I slept off.The pain I felt last night when I saw Will and Isabella together left a bitter feeling in me as I woke up.I had just finished Nadia off. I could not afford to watch her take over my plans. I stood up from the bed, and walked into the bathroom as I pulled my robe off.I turned on the shower, and allowed the water to cool my body and even my temper off. Thankfully, the water was chill enough to calm my nerves. After having my bath, I put on a nice dress, and walked out of the house in search of a cab to drive me off to a restaurant. While waiting, I recalled when I saw Isabella in his car. She was sitting like she was the Luna of the land. That annoyed my insides and I just wished
ALPHA WILL'S POVI shot up from the chair, and moved a few steps backwards.“Isabella, please let's never talk about this again. I'll take my leave now.” I said to her, and walked out of her house.“Will!” I heard her call out to me as I walked up to my car, but I ignored her, and got into the car.All these while, I had been holding the pain of losing her, and was trying my best to act rational, but it felt as if Isabella had hit a spot in my heart that let all the emotions flow.I decided to drive off to a bar, and by the time I got there, it was night fall already. As I walked in, I noticed people having fun with drinks, and some of them were discussing business heartily. But I came here with a really heavy heart, tonight. If tonight can be the night when I can drink to forget my sorrows for a while, then I would
PENELOPE'S POVI was scrolling through the pictures that I had once taken with Nadia, and I felt sorrow dig deep at my heart as my memories played back moments which I did a lot of things to betray her, for Nina.It was proving difficult to find her, especially without Nina not being aware. If she was aware, she could try to take ten steps ahead of me and destroy me just the way she did to Nadia. In fact, I couldn't bring myself to trust anyone because I'm well aware that she's capable of influencing people, and getting whatever she wants, done, through people.A knock interrupted my thoughts, and I wondered who could be looking for me by this time?I stood up, then walked over to the door slowly and cautiously.“Who is it?” I asked as I got close to the door.“Good day. I'm from Alpha Will.” He
PENELOPE’S POVNina let out an annoying laugh that disgusted me, and made me feel the pain of betrayal. Although, I was well aware that she would do something to get rid of me, but I wasn’t expecting it this soon.“You have served your purpose, and are acting too stubborn to be controlled. Don’t you know that what you’re trying to tell me is that you’re ready to meet your forefathers in heaven?” Nina chuckled evily as she stared at me with a mocking expression.I gritted my teeth as I squeezed my chest, and my eyes were beginning to get a bit blurry, but with all the strength fueled with anger, in me, I managed to grab the wine bottle that was on the table, and hit it on her shoulder as fast as I could, to distract her. Then I stood up with all my might, and ran out. I staggered as I ran out of her house, managing to see clearly, and to lift my legs. I couldn’t even run anymore, so I did my best to take big strides while walking over to the streets. My hope was fueled when I noticed a
NINA’S POVI plopped on the chair after going outside to check for Penelope in case she was lurking around a corner there. I didn’t find her, but I didn’t also need to worry because it was certain that she would die on the way, due to how lethal the poison was.And her death still won’t be traced back to me. I would make sure every loophole was covered, and taken care of. “Hmm.” I let out a relieved breath.“Now, what’s next on my agenda?” I voiced out as I scrolled through my phone, then I remembered Isabella. That annoying pest who wanted to grow like a weed in the garden that I had cleared out, and trimmed well. Well, she should be a piece of cake. The same way I pulled Nadia down from that position is the same way I would pull Isabella down from climbing to that position. Only me would get the prize, which was Will.I searched through my contacts, and dialed Daniel’s number. “Hello, boss.” He spoke as the call was connected.“I need you to do something for me, Daniel.” I said to
WILL’S POVI stood up after arranging the official papers I had worked on. The company’s growth was rapid, and good news was coming in every day. Usually, I would have been in high spirits, but I was neutral. My wolf was still aching due to the absence of Nadia. Nothing seemed intriguing anymore, and even coming to work was just a habitual and responsible thing I had to do, if not, I could have been in the room all day long.My phone rang, interrupting my lone moment. I watched as my phone rang, and was hesitant to answer it since it was a strange number, but as the number popped up again for the second time, I picked the phone up, and clicked on the accept button.“Good day, sir. I’m calling from “The Gray Bar”. I got your number from Miss Isabella’s phone.”“And what’s the matter?” I asked, then brushed my hair to the back as I leaned forward on the table befor
WILL’S POVI sighed deeply as I stared into blank space, wondering who could have written such a letter, and what it meant because so many meanings could be read to the letter. It had been a weird night since I saw the letter, and even as exhausted as I was, I couldn’t find sleep, itself. I guess I would have to get to the post office first thing in the morning to trace who could have sent it. That should help my curiosity.I rose to my feet, and walked up to my bed, then plopped down to rest. My whole body felt relaxed, and it was as if all my working bones decided to take a nap as well as I felt the readiness to sleep. As I stared at the wall at my left, my eyes began to get heavy, and drowsy, and in no time, my eyelids went shut with no willingness to open anytime soon.I woke up to the brightness that filled my room. The sun seemed to be in a positive mood this morning as its rays were warm, yet br
NADIA'S POV.I walked back to the restaurant, smiling and greeting anyone who made eye contact with me. My joy was over the top. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit
NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.
NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.
NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry
ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made
NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked
NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h
ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m
NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
