NINA’S POV

I plopped on the chair after going outside to check for Penelope in case she was lurking around a corner there. I didn’t find her, but I didn’t also need to worry because it was certain that she would die on the way, due to how lethal the poison was.

And her death still won’t be traced back to me. I would make sure every loophole was covered, and taken care of.

“Hmm.” I let out a relieved breath.

“Now, what’s next on my agenda?” I voiced out as I scrolled through my phone, then I remembered Isabella.

That annoying pest who wanted to grow like a weed in the garden that I had cleared out, and trimmed well. Well, she should be a piece of cake. The same way I pulled Nadia down from that position is the same way I would pull Isabella down from climbing to that position. Only me would get the prize, which was Will.

I searched through my contacts, and dialed Daniel’s number.

“Hello, boss.” He spoke as the call was connected.

“I need you to do something for me, Daniel.” I said to

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   A mere coincidence?

WILL’S POVI stood up after arranging the official papers I had worked on. The company’s growth was rapid, and good news was coming in every day. Usually, I would have been in high spirits, but I was neutral. My wolf was still aching due to the absence of Nadia. Nothing seemed intriguing anymore, and even coming to work was just a habitual and responsible thing I had to do, if not, I could have been in the room all day long.My phone rang, interrupting my lone moment. I watched as my phone rang, and was hesitant to answer it since it was a strange number, but as the number popped up again for the second time, I picked the phone up, and clicked on the accept button.“Good day, sir. I’m calling from “The Gray Bar”. I got your number from Miss Isabella’s phone.”“And what’s the matter?” I asked, then brushed my hair to the back as I leaned forward on the table befor

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   What's on the phone?

WILL’S POVI sighed deeply as I stared into blank space, wondering who could have written such a letter, and what it meant because so many meanings could be read to the letter. It had been a weird night since I saw the letter, and even as exhausted as I was, I couldn’t find sleep, itself. I guess I would have to get to the post office first thing in the morning to trace who could have sent it. That should help my curiosity.I rose to my feet, and walked up to my bed, then plopped down to rest. My whole body felt relaxed, and it was as if all my working bones decided to take a nap as well as I felt the readiness to sleep. As I stared at the wall at my left, my eyes began to get heavy, and drowsy, and in no time, my eyelids went shut with no willingness to open anytime soon.I woke up to the brightness that filled my room. The sun seemed to be in a positive mood this morning as its rays were warm, yet br

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   The letter

NINA’S POVI felt a surge of anger in me as I was displeased with Isabella’s presence. What was even more annoying was the fact that she could walk into Will’s office freely without being questioned. And now, I was sent out because of her.My heels were hitting the ground aggressively as I walked in the hallway leading to the elevator, and my hair also bounced in the air, with my face cranked up. Before I got close to the elevator, it opened, and everyone in there walked out, going about their businesses. Then I walked in, and pressed the ground floor button.“Hold up, please.” A man urged as he walked briskly towards me.But he got into the elevator even before my help was needed, and the elevator doors shut close. Then I noticed that it was one of Will’s drivers. I cleared my throat, and moved closer to him.“You are Alpha Will’s driver,

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   The attack

ALPHA WILL’S POVI stared at her phone as I held it in my hand, and discovered it was a text she was showing me.“From the business guru?” I uttered as I glanced at her before looking back at the phone.“Yes.” She responded in a low tone.I scanned through the text which read, and I raised my head back up to look at Isabella with a sympathetic expression on my face. The business guru had explained to her how she lost interest in having a deal with her which was because she felt she isn’t up to the level she is looking for.It was more like she was adding to the pain which Isabella felt when she disappointed her at the last minute. I could understand how she must have been feeling right now, so I stood up, and walked up to her, then held her hand.“I understand how you’re probably feeling right now, but I need you to raise your head high, and forge

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Something fishy

WILL'S POVI didn't need anyone to tell me how broken Isabella was right now to hear those words from the doctor. She held her chest tight, and staggered, but I held her to avoid her tripping over anything.“You don't need to worry, ma'am. We'll do anything in our power to ensure that he doesn't have another attack.” The doctor assured, and then I nodded. But there was something fishy. I felt there was something else the doctor wasn't saying, so I comforted Isabella for a while before I went out to see the doctor again.“Alpha, is there anything you need?” He asked, wondering why I came to see him.“What caused the sudden attack he had?” I questioned, with one of my eyebrows arched up.Then he removed his glasses and cleaned both his eyes again, and sighed. I could tell he was a bit nervous, but I waite

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Coward

ALPHA WILL'S POVThis was the same tactic which the person who sent me a letter, used. It was anonymous. But the content of the letter was what set them apart. They certainly can't be one person. The one who sent me a letter sounded like he or she wanted to help me out and telling me that I may have misunderstood Nadia shows that he or she didn't mind if Nadia and I got back together. While the other person who sent this letter to Isabella warned her to back off from me. The only thing I could deduce from this letter was that the sender was a woman.I pulled her closer to me, and patted her. Even if I truly didn't see her as a woman, I didn't want it to be too obvious either way.“I understand how scary this can be. And in fact, you shouldn't run from me all because of the letter. Everything will be fine. I'll make sure of that.” I assured her, and then she nodd

NINA'S POV“Oh, my. This is so sweet.” I chuckled, and laughed out loud after I ended my call with Michael. The job was done smoothly, and it was even difficult to drive her away. Thank you Isabella for making Michael's work easy and simple, which is really beneficial for me.“I am a pro. I know that.” I said to myself and covered my face, feeling elated. Now, for a news as good and positive as this, it should denote a wine time. I rose to my feet, and walked towards my wine shelf while dancing, each step I took.I picked a wine bottle from the arrays of other fantastic wine bottles and snatched a wine glass from the cabinet as I walked back to the living room.I let out a satisfied sigh as I placed the bottle on the table, and then sat on the chair like a queen. Now, what was next for me to do was to

NINA'S POVI immediately changed the direction of my hand to an expensive ball pen he had on his table, and then turned to him with a smile which I knew came out awkwardly.“This ball pen is really an expensive one. From which artisan did you get this?” I asked, trying to wave off the awkwardness that was brewing in.But Will didn't say a word like he was expecting a different response from me, then I chuckled nervously.“I… I came to check up on you. Don't you remember what happened last night?” I questioned as I drifted away from his office desk.“Oh, yeah. Thanks for last night.” Will appreciated me, and those words seemed like golden words to me because to hear such from him was more like getting a well done from him.“It's my pleasure. • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   A deserved happy ending

NADIA'S POV.I walked back to the restaurant, smiling and greeting anyone who made eye contact with me. My joy was over the top. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit

NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Peace

NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Brooding

NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry

ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   A yearning hope

NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Death?

NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Unbelievable

ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m

  • The Substitute Bride: Banished with the Alpha's babies   Her end

NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
