Mary Kesley smiled regretfully, "I apologize. I couldn't interfere with the placement of the room at all. If I interfered, I was afraid people would get suspicious."

Riley Mackenzie replied, "It's not your fault. I understand about it."

Mary let out a long sigh, "But, don't worry. Even though you share a room with him, when it comes to practice and test schedules, it's unlikely that you'll be in the same group."

"Unless you're really unlucky," Mary added.

Riley only smiled faintly in response.

About a week later, or rather in their third week at the Ans De Lou Royal palace, Riley was stunned to see his name listed in a group with James Gardner one row above his name.

They had not yet reached the public building where they ate their meals. They were still in the vicinity of the park not far from Rowena Wellington's residence.

"It turns out I'm really unlucky," Riley muttered quietly.

Alen and Diego who also read the announcement immediately looked at each other.

"Take it easy, you'll be

Indeed, Gary Wellington could not guess what the war general standing in front of him was planning.Unlike Riley Mackenzie who was so open and often predictable. James Gardner was just the opposite.James Gardner was not someone who was easy to read the way he thought. He looked like a book locked with a special padlock. So, if no one can even open it, then how can someone read and know the contents of the book?Looking at Gary's residence, James thought that Gary was most likely confused. But, the man didn't bother to find out what the young prince was confused about. So, immediately James said again, "Your Highness, I emphasize once again. You are not a major threat to us."Gary's left eyebrow twitched slightly and it wasn't long before he replied, "Oh, is that so? So ... since you don't consider me a big threat, that means Xylan is off guard. Is that so?"James frowned, looking surprised."Hm, alright. Well then, I guess I ... don't need to procrastinate anymore," Gary said with a

  • The Strongest God of War   128. A Big Threat?

James Gardner was dumbfounded for a few moments as he heard the words of the prince whose name was not recorded in the official history in the latest book of the Kingdom of Ans De Lou on the orders of the previous king. It certainly boosted the confidence of Gary Davis, who should be called Gary Wellington. In fact, he grinned again when he found James just staring. However, that only lasted a few moments. In just a matter of seconds, Gary saw the corners of James' lips lift to form a smile that he thought was strange. To the point that Gary didn't know how to interpret that smile. The young prince's forehead wrinkled. Wordlessly he looked at James who then looked at him with a flat gaze even though his lips were still smiling."Is there anything funny about what I said?" Gary finally couldn't resist asking.James replied by still maintaining the smile on his lips, "No."Gary squinted."I just didn't expect you to reveal your own identity, Your Highness," James said with a fairly cal

But, of course, Gary Davis did not let himself be dragged away by the brazen ground war commander. So, after several attempts, he finally managed to break free from Benedict Arkitson."I can go there myself, Commander Arkitson," Gary said quickly.Ben grinned and instead moved his chin in an irritating nod, "You're already at the entrance of the living room of General Gardner's residence."Gary widened his eyes in surprise and immediately turned his head towards the door that the man who was taller than him was referring to.Damn it, I didn't even realize I was here, Gary muttered in exasperation."Never mind, let me call him now. You ... just sit in the living room," Ben said casually.Gary was about to refuse, but Ben was faster and had even walked towards the two soldiers guarding the entrance of the building.Since it had already happened, Gary could only sigh in exasperation and follow Ben who had signaled him to enter the room immediately.Oh, he didn't think that would happen.

"I think so, Your Highness," Camelia said in a very low tone of voice. Gary Davis laughed softly, "Oh, that's wonderful!" Camelia raised her left eyebrow, looking confused. Gary, who was still laughing, shook his head and said, "I mean General Gardner seems to think that I'm going to act stupidly." "Oh, I didn't think at all that he would think I would attack his king secretly. Hm, does he think I'm that stupid?" Gary continued. "Oh my! How could he think that? Attacking Xylan when he's under full protection is suicide. Has he gone mad?" Gary muttered, ruffling his hair that partially covered his eyes. Camelia could only smile faintly, not knowing how to respond to the prince's words. Gary, who had stopped laughing suddenly said, "I think ... I should go see him." This time Camelia immediately asked with a shocked expression, "Who do you mean, Your Highness? Is it General Gardner?" "Of course he is," Gary replied lightly. Camelia swallowed nervously and then responded in as

  • The Strongest God of War   125. An Important News

"Who?""Who?" Jason repeated, trying to figure out who might rebel against the king.Unsure Jason said, "The Prime Minister? Or the other ministers?"His brow furrowed at the thought of the old man doing just that. Indeed, Philip Crawford had a not-so-good relationship with the young king of his land. In fact, before Xylan Wellington ascended the throne, the old man who had served as prime minister for a very long time had shown his dislike for the crown prince openly. Moreover, he was not afraid to oppose Xylan and make a big accusation against Xylan.Given all that, Jason shook his head firmly. "No way, definitely not old Crawford.""Judging from his political trajectory, he wouldn't move secretly. If he doesn't like King Xylan, he'll definitely make an overt move," Jason added with conviction. Then, several other names emerged in place of Philip Crawford, whom he suspected. Those names were of course ministers who he thought had a different perspective from the king. However, no

Jacob immediately shrugged and answered indifferently as if he didn't really care about the reason Jason wanted to know, "I don't know." Jason glared in surprise but he tried to fix his facial expression. He exhaled slowly in order to get rid of the annoyance that had appeared without being able to hold it in. "You don't know? How could you?" Jason asked back with his right eyebrow raised, clearly in disbelief. He must be hiding something. A secret, perhaps. Jason thought as he looked at his friend with a suspicious gaze that he didn't try to cover up. Seen with that strange look, it was Jacob's turn to stare back at him with an annoyed look, "Hey, I really don't know. I was just ordered by Commander Arkitson to tighten the security of the king's palace." Jason squinted, still looking unsure of Jacob's answer. That look was of course interpreted by Jacob as a look as if to say 'I don't believe'. Jacob rolled his eyes lazily, "If you don't believe me ... you can ask the soldiers
