"Hey, don't be quiet! You made me bored,” James said with an annoyed snort.

Riley kept his eyes locked with James who was still raising his eyebrows, waiting for an explanation.

Was it because of guilt?

But, why?

Riley didn't know how to answer that either. He himself could not understand his actions.

The young man with the injured leg had indeed grown up from a baby without his father present. Even though it was all related to his father, it was still not his father's fault.

If that was the case, shouldn't he not have any guilt towards the young man?

Then, why was he doing this?

Come to think of it, this was the first time he had done something so dangerous in his life.

The thing he did this time was not like breaking the palace rules that would only end in a punishment, but certainly not to the point of sacrificing his life.

But, this time he was actually risking his life in the enemy kingdom's territory in order to save the young man who annoyed him so much.

"The attack." Kharel replied, staring at the door of their compartment, which was now completely closed. Now Kharel understood completely.Their journey to the competition area organized by the Exclessy Kingdom Association was fraught with danger. In fact, his kingdom had to deploy many great soldiers to smooth their journey. His heart suddenly felt heavy. His back felt as if it were weighed down by something, causing him to slouch.Elliot sighed softly when he saw Kharel looking frustrated. He quickly said, "Don't think too much, Kharel!"Kharel raised his head, "How can I not think? Three War Commanders left the kingdom because they had to protect us."The young man sighed deeply and jumped in surprise when he heard gunfire that was more intense than before.Niall immediately stood up and pressed his ear against the compartment door. He bit his lip, feeling extremely anxious. He knew his father had repeatedly gone to th

"The Kingdom of Sealand, the Kingdom of Ordanta, and ... the Kingdom of De Kruk, Your Royal Highness." Gale said as he looked at the crown prince's face, which immediately changed.Kharel was silent, while Niall quickly responded, "De Kruk. The only kingdom that still has problems with our kingdom to this day."Seeing the strange expression on Kharel's face, Elliot immediately said, "No need to think about it. That's our kingdom's problem, it has nothing to do with this competition."Niall clicked his tongue, "After the attacks we've had during our journey, you can still say that? Haven't you ever thought that one of our attackers might have come from that kingdom?"Elliot sighed, "Niall, come on! What we're facing is different. This competition aims to seize the highest throne in the kingdom's military power. Meanwhile, the problems between kingdoms are much bigger. I don't think this competition will be used to ...."Gale quickly nudged Elliot's

"Soldiers of the Kingdom of Ans De Lou ... please!" one of the competition organizers said, finally interrupting the conversation between the four young soldiers. They were then directed to walk to Mulic Station, located only a few hundred meters from the port.As they walked, Kharel kept his eyes scanning in all directions. The young man noticed the competition participants from other kingdoms who also seemed to be staring at him. However, none of them exchanged words. They just stared at each other silently, as if they were assessing each other. As he was about to board the express train that would depart for Windreal City in fifteen minutes, Gale tripped and bumped into the back of a soldier from another kingdom."Sorry, I didn't mean to," Gale said quickly. The participant whose back Gale had accidentally bumped into immediately turned to him, furrowed his brow as he looked at Gale's uniform, and then said, "You ... are from the Kingdom of Ans De Lou?""Yes," Gale replied. The pa

Elliot sighed irritably and turned to his best friend with a lazy look. "Niall, only a Seal Commander has the right to use that submarine."Kharel, who noticed the laziness in Elliot's tone, chimed in, "So, of course Uncle Josh is in that submarine, my friend Niall."Niall just cleared his throat softly in response to his two best friends' words.Meanwhile, Gale swallowed hard, looking increasingly confused and anxious, but not revealing what he was thinking.Niall, who finally began to understand everything, said, "Seeing how many participants in this competition have been attacked mid-journey like us earlier, it seems that ... on this sea voyage too ...."Niall didn't continue his sentence because after that he saw two submarines appear on the left side of their ship."They're targeting us," Kharel said, who also saw the two foreign ships appear. The young man even stood up and peeked through the cabin window.

The battle between the soldiers of the Kingdom of Ans De Lou and several kingdoms attempting to attack the selected soldiers' aircraft was fierce. However, in the end, victory belonged to the Air Division forces led by Thyme Sylis."Make sure they land safely!" Thyme said, who was still watching from above as the aircraft bearing the large emblem of the Ans De Lou Kingdom began to land at Delgra Airport.Thyme saw several other aircraft from other kingdoms with their official emblems also landing perfectly. However, the Air War Commander's eyes focused sharply on several aircraft that appeared to have been attacked externally."This is crazy! It looks like many kingdoms are attacking each other," Thyme muttered.Rudolf responded, “You’re right, Commander. All participants in this competition may be attacked by other kingdoms. But … I don’t understand the reason. It wasn’t like this before.&rdq

Riley patted the young soldier on the shoulder and smiled, "Young man, the competition you are about to enter is a dangerous one. So, prepare yourselves well.""Be alert and work together. Remember, your enemies are not among you, but ... them," Riley added.Gale frowned, looking confused. Meanwhile, Kharel just stared at his father blankly, while Elliot replied, "Uncle Riley, you don't need to worry. We ... won't be easily separated."Riley turned to his best friend's son and nodded, "Take good care of yourselves!""Yes, Deputy War General," the four soldiers said in unison. After completing his task, Riley immediately got off and joined James, who was waiting for him.The plane carrying the four selected young soldiers and three royal staff members serving as pilot, co-pilot, and steward finally took off, leaving the Kingdom of Ans De Lou.“Thyme has departed,” James said, looking in the opposite direction where Thyme Sy
