Clarissa
The food was Scrumptious, and the wine delicious. The monks ate quietly with an occasional low murmur to someone sitting around them. They spoke about what they learned or did that day. It didn’t make much sense to Clarissa.
“So, how come I am the only lady here tonight?” Clarissa asked.
Blake shrugged. “The nuns eat elsewhere. You are a special guest.”
Clarissa took a sip from her second glass of wine. The night was moving fast and time seemed to dance around her. She felt good.
The wine helped to improve her mood. But it muddled her
Clarissa Clarissa held onto Blake’s arm tightly. She was so glad that he was here for the first time that she drank. Because she did not think that she could walk straight if she did not have him to lean on. He was heading somewhere, and she was sure he told her where more than once. But she could not remember. Being drunk was kind of confusing. However, the sensation was really fun! He was talking to her now. But her head swam, and she was having trouble focusing on his words. He was cute though, maybe she should try to focus on him. “When we go in here, don’t speak. I will talk for you.”
Stefan It was dark in the city, and the streets were mostly abandoned as Stefan headed to the nearest guard post. One of the guards played solitaire while his partner napped in the corner. Stefan smiled wryly. No wonder the city was so overrun with crime. He cleared his throat to get their attention. The sleeping guard snored loudly in response while the one playing cards glanced up at him irritatedly. “What is it?” He grumbled. Stefan kept his temper in check as he grimaced at the rude man. “Let the monks know I am here so that I might meet with them.” He commanded. The guard
Blake After leaving the advisors’ private library, Blake took Clarissa to his room. He needed his alchemy chest to create something to help Clarissa through the situation she put herself in. If she wasn’t careful in a place like this, she could lose her will. He didn’t want to see her become a mindless zombie for the glory of Righ. He held his arm around her shoulder until the door was safely shut. Then, he sat her on the bed and patted her head. “I’m not a dog.” She said. “I know. I just wanted to show you affection.” Blake smiled warmly at her. “You could show me something else.” She was still slurring her words. S
Clarissa recognized this section of the woods from the vision the purple sage had induced. This was where she handed her baby to her beloved. But she did not see herself. The woods seemed especially and eerily quiet. It was as if the wildlife knew something terrible was going to happen. Clarissa didn’t know why she felt that way, but trepidation filled her. There was a tenseness in the air that made it hard to breathe. The hooded man she had seen give the baby away went running by. He was running so fast that Clarissa couldn’t keep up. The forest melted away behind them as they ran. But he did not slow until a small cabin appeared before them. It was not a castle. But it would be cozy and warm for two people. Tonight, it was dark, and the tension in the air seemed to
Clarissa Clarissa and Blake sat on his bed, talking. When she mentioned Mimi, Blake asked who he was. Well, if he was going to find out how crazy she was, now was a good time, right? “Well, I normally tell people that he is my imaginary friend.” She admitted, her ears turning red. “But when I do that, Mimi gets angry with me. He says he is not imaginary.” “So do you see him now?” Blake wondered, motioning to the room. “I don’t see him. I'm not crazy. I just hear him.” She acknowledged quietly that both ideas seemed crazy. Blake pushed the hair back behind her ear. His touch was so tender, it made butterflies erupt in her stomach. “Is it po
Stefan Stefan limped through the streets on his way back to the Inn. His body was sore. Wounds squished blood with every step. He knew what he needed was to get back to the Inn. There he could rest. The idea of sleep dominated his thoughts. If he were a weaker man, he would find a dark street corner to nap in. But if he were to do that, the sun would rise on his sleeping form. It was the gargoyle curse that turned them to stone during the day. But Stefan was only half gargoyle. So the curse only activated when he slept in direct sunlight. It was why he always woke before daybreak. A voice in his head encouraged him to find a quiet corner. In his stone form, he would heal quicker and awake
Clarissa These were the woods from the vision the purple sage gave Clarissa. She handed her baby to her beloved right there by that tree. But she did not see herself now. The woods were eerily quiet, as if the wildlife knew there was something terrible about to happen. Clarissa didn’t know why she felt that way, but trepidation filled her. The tenseness in the air made it hard to breathe. Her baby’s father dashed frantically past her, running so fast that Clarissa couldn’t keep up. The forest melted away behind them as they ran. But he did not slow until a small cabin appeared before them. It was no castle. But it would be cozy and warm for two people- three with the baby. They could have a happy little life here.
Clarissa The nuns all greeted Clarissa with excitement. She felt like a new toy they were passing around. She wouldn’t remember all of their names. But the petite woman that stopped her yesterday was Celendra. Celendra smiled warmly. “While we have you, we would each like to teach you something about magic.” “Really?” Clarissa asked eagerly. She had not been able to learn as much on the road with Stefan as she had hoped. Bertha nodded and another nun cut in enthusiastically. “What is your element?” Clarissa laughed. “Well, Stefan said that the beam I used on accident when trying to defend myself was life energy.”
