Chapter 06|Appointment

ANNA

He has been trying to contact me since that day, but all I did was ignore him. I am doing the right thing like any soon-to-be mother will do protecting her kids. I don't care about him being the richest man on earth; he should have never say what he said. Maybe things would have been different. 

I snapped out of thoughts when I hear my name being called. 

"Anna Johnson!" the receptionist called, glancing up from her clipboard to look out into the waiting room.

I didn't want to go alone; this time, because I am not sure what will happen, so I bought my best friend, Michelle, with me. We both had raised from our seats like that; I gave the receptionist a small smile before quietly following her down the hall.

"Is it okay if I bought my best friend with me at the doctor's appointment." I had kindly asked him.

"Sure, no problem." He smiles as we all entered the room. "So, the sperm donor did work." He smiled at me. 

"Yes, it did. Thank you so much." I softly smile.

"You are welcome. Now today is going to be an ultrasound. You should be around 16 weeks pregnant correct?" Dr.Dickson asked me.

"Yes." I sit on the table. 

"Why didn't you come back to me in those weeks?" He questions me as I watched him put on his gloves after washing his hands. 

"I had somethings to catch up at my office," I stated as I laid down. I saw as Michelle was on her phone; I just shook my head, not worrying about her.

I shivered when the doctor had lifted my shirt and spread the jelly around with the ultrasound scanner. "Okay, I'll pull up the scan now..." The doctor said, typing with one hand and a window opened up on the screen. Some lumps and shadows didn't turn into any coherent shapes, but as the doctor moved the scanner around. I turned my head towards the small tv.

"This is very strange." The doctor said as he continued typing, the scanner moving around and the shadows moving around too.

"What?" I head lifting clear of the pillow and my stomach tensing to raise my torso without using my arms. The doctor gently pushed me back onto my back.

"It's sporadic for this to happen, did you had intercourse the day before I had intersection you." He questions me.

I nodded my head, guilty. 

"Well, that's explained."He chuckles and clicked twice with the mouse, and the heartbeat came upon the speaker.

"...this."

It was heartbeats.

There were two heartbeats.

DANIEL

"Thank you, Mr.Williams, for the flyers." The front desk, woman, smiles at me. 

"No, thank you for letting me come back to the clinic and helping out more ladies," I say, as I heard her voice.

"What are going to do with twins?" Her best friend questions.

She was having twins. I turned around and saw her; she was staying 4 feet in front of me with wide eyes. 

I understand she hates me, but I feel awful about what I was done.

I smile as I made my way towards her. "We're having twins."

"Correctly, I am having twins. There is no "We." She stated.

Damn, she was a fiercely one, but I slicked deserve it. 

"What are you doing there? Are you stalking her now?" Her Best Friend interrupted our conversation.

I ignored her and continue to talk to the mother of my children. "I probably deserved that, but without my sperm, you wouldn't be pregnant in the first place. "

"I wish I have never had met you. You're such a dick." She angrily says to me. 

"Like, you weren't making me feel bad for what I say. I deal with that shit every day. I have tried to apologize for my acts, but you just ignored me." I explained to her.

"You told her to get an abortion, knowing it is hard for her to have children because of what happened when she was ten years old. " Her Friend says to me. 

Why the hell is she always saying shit when I am not talking to her.

Anna turns to her best friend and, said, "We are going to talk outside. It wouldn't belong." She softly smiles. She walks outside as I follow her to her car. 

"Ann-, " Before I could speak, she slapped me hard in the face. 

"I deserved that. " I rubbed my face. 

She stared at me, pissed as she waited for me to speak again.

"I am sorry for being a dick to you. I should have never said those words to you. I know I had hurt your feelings, but can you please forgive me." I look at her with sadness in my eyes.

"You want me to forgive you."

"Yes." 

"And why would I do that."

"Because those are my children to and I want to be apart of their lives."

"No, you're nothing but a sperm donor." She coldly said to me.

"But I am your sperm donor."
