It was later the same day, and I was just getting ready for bed, the entire rest of the day was spent with me, and Jackson sat at the base telling them what had happened. The number of times I had to explain the story of me talking on the phone with Mario was insanity! But that’s not the only part of the story I had to relive in great detail, but the moment we found Derek was also spoken about more times than I could count on my hands. It was now dinner time the same day, Jackson and I had done nothing but sit on the sofa, watch tv and talk about the most random of things. I know I have been saying I want nothing more than to catch Mario, which means I won’t stop until he’s found. That still remains true, and I want to work any hour I can until I find him, but I actually enjoyed today. I didn’t have to worry what would happen if Jackson and I were to make the wrong move, I didn’t have to sit and listen to all of the horrible details of the kind of things Mario has done to so many people. I felt like I was just a normal person going through their normal life for once. Jackson and I soon arrive back home, the incident with Peter still fresh on my mind as we walked through the door. The following day I wake up bright and early, now I knew I could play a key main role in finding my father, I wasn’t wasting anytime. I was even downstairs making breakfast for Jackson and I, normally, it’s the other way around. But I felt thankful for the way he was helping me, he was forced into this babysitting position, where he has been nothing but kind and compassionate even when I have been anything but easy going. Jackson soon walks into the kitchen where he comes to an abrupt stop, I was unsure if this was because I was in the kitchen before he had even woken up or because I was cooking. Around half an hour later, we were all on our way towards the building my father would always tell me to remember to go there if something bad happens. Jackson and I were in front in his car while my mother and Reece, were in their car travelling right behind us. For once, I wasn’t nervous about heading to this place, it’s somewhere I had been before but also, a place my father told me I’d be safe if anything happens. Why didn’t I think of this when my father first went missing? What if all we need to stop Mario is in this building? I tell Jackson to take this final right turn where the building soon comes into view, the building itself not changing from the few years I had been here. The car ride felt like it was going on for hours, the tracker hadn’t moved since we had been following him but with every street we would turn down, it would feel like more would be added on. Jackson was going the ways I was telling him and was shocked we were in the part of town we were, according to Jackson, this is where most of the police officers and higher ups live. Mario was hiding right under their noses, and they had no idea. An hour later, Jackson and I were walking into the base hand in hand. Now my mother has been taken by Mario, and Reece is in the hospital getting treated for being ambushed, Jackson was the boss.
