As I sat in silence, my phone scared the shit out of me, ringing five minutes into our drive. "Hello?" I answered after pulling it from my purse.

Piper was on the other end, but I had a hard time making out what she tried to tell me. "Piper, slow down. What are you talking about?"

"Cam, have you seen the news?" she responded breathlessly.
