Derek Two days later the wolves have fully healed, as well as the warlocks and witches. Mark has started gathering the warriors of the pack to prepare for the rescue mission. Owen is on phone ensuring humans will not interfere with our plans. Everyone is working hard to make sure this will not fail. We can’t fail twice. We don’t know how much time we have before the rogues will decide to kill Davina. Nor do we know what they are doing to her. It is bugging me why they hadn’t killed her right away. Why hadn’t they just gotten it over with? “What’s on your mind young alpha,” Dimitri asks. “I’m trying to figure out why Davina wasn’t immediately killed. It doesn’t make any sense to kidnap her,” I reply. “You have good senses Derek. You’re right, it doesn’t make sense,” he says. “Any theories,” I ask. “I have one. I believe there is a silver dragon out there wanting to absorb her powers. Which means there was another traitor among the group fifteen years ago besides your uncle,” Di
My body is exhausted. I attempt to fight him off but he is much bigger and stronger than me. All I can do is turn my head away as he rips my underwear off and pulls my dress up higher. I try my best to block out the pain from my leg. Mom has tried to describe what a girl’s first time is like but I am not prepared for how painful it actually is. He removes his jeans and possessions himself on top of me. He roughly slides himself inside me causing me to cry out. It definitely hurts. He is not gentle by any means and is swiftly moving. He has my arms pinned down, I literally cannot move. “I want to hear that scream of yours Davina.” I fight to give him what this sick prick wants and just glare at him. He grabs my bad leg causing me to scream in pain and begins thrusting even harder. “I should’ve known you are a virgin, lucky me.” I don’t even know how long it takes but when he finally finishes he leans into my ear and whispers, “Now see, was that so bad. I’ll be back later. Maybe Jack
Davina I wake up in a very bright room. It takes a second for my vision to focus. There is a man in the room and I begin to panic. I wrestle with all the tubes connected to me and I try to get out of bed. “Calm down Davina.” I look to my left and see Keila. “Keila?” I say in confusion. “Where am I?” “You’re in the hospital,” Keila replies. “What happened? How long have I been here,” I ask. I can remember bits and pieces but for some reason I can’t recall everything. “You’ve been unconscious for eight weeks Davina. Do you remember anything,” asks Keila. “Eight weeks!” I am being to hyperventilate. “It’s okay Davina. Slow, deep breaths. We can talk about what you remember later,” she says trying to calm me down. “I remember my home being attacked. I was kidnapped, I think.” “You may have some amnesia and might not remember every detail. Don’t try to think about it too hard. You have time. This can be short term or longer term. Meaning you may not ever recall what happened,”
“Now if you’re okay with it, I’d like to look at your leg and we need to change the bandages.” I look at him fearfully, not wanting him to touch me. Keila lays a hand on me and smiles as if she knows what I am thinking. She comes around and removes the blankets from my leg while carefully unwrapping the bandage trying not to hurt me. I winced in pain when she has to lift my leg up. “I’m sorry Davina,” Keila says. “It’s okay Keila. It needs to be done.” She begins examining at my leg. “It’s healing quit nicely. Fitting a prosthetic will be easy. Now I need to wash it and it may hurt a bit.” I nod at Keila and look away. I can’t bring myself to look at my leg. “Uncle Gabriel? I am going to assume there has already been a funeral for my parents.” “Yes Davina, I’m sorry. When it looked like you wouldn’t wake up anytime soon we couldn’t wait any longer.” My uncle is truly sad for moving forward without me. “It’s okay. What about the house?” “Well that’s up to you. It’s technically
Davina I’ve been in this hospital for almost four months now. I am tired of seeing the same four ugly walls everyday. Uncle visits me at least twice a day. Some of the staff from the restaurant have visited too. They try to cheer me up, play board games with me and let me know how the restaurant is doing. Uncle hired an attorney to help ensure everything is legally in place. I asked the attorney to make my uncle a co-owner. He has been running it for me so I think he should be part owner. He tried to talk me out of it but I insisted. I appreciate what everyone is trying to do but I’d rather just be left alone. I sometimes wish they didn’t save me and just let me die with my family. I can hear uncle Gabriel and Dr. Ase talking outside. “Gabriel she is severely depressed. I highly suggests putting her on antidepressants. I don’t think this will get better on it’s own. She has been through too much and with the pregnancy I am concerned postpartum depression will send her over the edge
“Hello Davina, my name is Tanisha I will be assisting Keila with your physical therapy. We won’t be doing too much today. We’re going to get you fitted for a prosthetic and I will show you mirror therapy that way you can do it on your own. Try not to get too discouraged. This will take time.” Tanisha has dirty blonde hair cut into an A line and she has piercing blue eyes. She must work out a lot, I can see her muscles through her lab coat. She’s very pretty. “Thank you Tanisha. Will I still be able to wear the prosthetic while pregnant?” “You can, however, I would highly suggest using a wheelchair or at least crutches towards the end of your pregnancy as there could be some swelling that typically occurs. But before that and after you have given birth I would say wear it whenever you want.” “Okay, we’ll just see how that goes then I guess. So what’s first?” “I am going to take some digital images to create a positive model of your limb. Once the model is completed I will form a soc
Derek “Derek are you paying attention,” asks elder Conrad. I snap out of my day dream and look at him. “I’m sorry Conrad. I’m really tired,” I reply. I haven’t been sleeping lately and it’s been nonstop on the go with alpha training and learning the family business. And to top it all off, I have a gathering tonight to see if my luna is among my pack. If not I’ll have to start traveling to the other shifters and to the coven to see if my mate is among them. The elders are hoping it’s one of them cause if it’s a dragon that’ll be a bit more difficult. “I understand Derek. Why don’t you go get some rest before the gathering.” I nod at elder Conrad and head to my room. I collapse on my bed. I don’t know how dad did it all. I reach over to my nightstand and pull out the letter dad had written to me. I have yet to open it. I can’t bring myself to do it. I put it back in the drawer and close it. Outside my bedroom I can hear Mark and Daniela. If he keeps this up I’ll make him move out I
“What!” The door opens and I find Mark standing at the foot of my bed. I groan and sit up. “Dude you’re late for the meeting with the elders.” I look at the clock and see that it is almost ten. Shit. “Whatever Mark, I’m the alpha. The meeting starts when I say it does.” “Really Derek.” “Don’t start with me Mark. I am going to shower and then I’ll be down for the meeting.” I head to my bathroom and shut the door before Mark can say another word. I take a quick shower and head downstairs. “Good morning everyone. I am sorry for my tardiness. Have travel arrangements been made with the other alphas?” I decide to jump right into before anyone starts asking me questions. “Yes. All alphas have been contacted and they are arranging gatherings for when you arrive. We will start with the flock in France, then the pride in Africa and lastly the bears in California,” says elder Richard. Well at least the bears are last. I enjoy their company and we have a few wolves there who mated with be

Derek As soon as we touch down on the runway we both unbuckle our seat belts and rush out the door as soon as it’s opened. There are two cars waiting for as I instructed. One to wait for our luggage and another to immediately take us home. I order my wolf to speed home. Davina hasn’t spoken a word since we left. I can tell she has been trying to communicate with Malayah with no luck. I have been practicing using my telepathy as well but haven’t been able to get through either. It’s weird being able to do that in my human form. I try communicating with Mark. “Mark can you hear me?” “Derek?” “Yes it’s me.” “How are you doing that?” “I’ll explain later. Any leads?” “No, she vanished. There is a package here for Davina though. It’s spelled shut. I think only Davina can open it.” “We will be there in ten minutes. Meet us in the conference room. Have mom keep the kids busy.” “Will do bro. See you soon.” The connections ends and I look at Davina. She is still concentrating. “Davina
“They look like they are having a lot of fun,” I giggle. There is a picture of Owen with glitter in his hair.“My mother sent me this yesterday. They are doing fine.” The pictures ease my anxiety and a server brings out our dessert. A simple cheese cake. I love cheese cake. This is truly the best evening and it’s only day one. Derek’s phone rings and he rolls his eyes silencing it.“Shouldn’t you take that?”“Whatever is going on I left plenty of people in charge to handle business matters. You have my attention this whole trip.” I smile as the phone rings again.“Derek just answer it.” He looks down at the phone and frowns.“What is it?” He answers the phone without answering my question.“What’s wrong mother?” Calista wouldn’t call unless something happened. My heart begins to race. I shouldn’t have left my children. “Call detective O’Neil, we are on our way.” He hangs up the phone and dials another number. “Jack get our plane ready we are heading home immediately. I look at Derek w
“Don’t panic love. Just calmly swim back to the boat.” I go to turn around are there are some blacktip reef sharks between us and the boat.“Derek?”“It’s okay, they won’t bother you. Plus you are a dragon that controls water. Just move them with your water powers.” I concentrate and make a water current that pushes the sharks further away so I can swim to the boat. I turn and I see the hammerhead next to Derek. Derek is remaining as still as possible but he needs air. I use my water powers to push the hammerhead away from Derek but the sharks tail hits Derek in the head causing his snorkeling gear to get knocked of this head. Derek is knocked further towards the sea floor, doing a few somersaults. “Shit!”“Derek are you okay?” He looks around confused for a second. He doesn’t look to be holding his breathe. “Davina, I’m breathing.”“What? How?”“I think we should head back early and call Dimitri. This is too weird.”“I agree.” We decide to head back to the boat and ask Hank to take
DerekWhen we begin to descend I wake up Davina. It’s about eight in the morning in South Carolina but here in Bora Bora it is two in the morning. But I am not tired and have other plans for the rest of the night with her. “Where are we? How long did I sleep.”“Look out the window love.” I know she won’t be able to see anything.“Umm..it’s dark out. I can’t see anything.” I chuckle at her. The steward asks us to fasten our seatbelts. We touch down and begin exiting the plane. It’s definitely warm out tonight. “Where are we?”“Welcome to Bora Bora love,” I whisper in her ear. She looks at me and smiles. “Really?”“Yep and I am glad you napped on the flight. I have other plans tonight.” I can see a fire in her eyes and she wants the same. I lead her to our private hut. Our luggage has already been brought to the room so there is no one to disturb us. “I’ll need a few minutes in the bathroom,” says Davina as she takes her suitcase into the bathroom and locks the door. What is that wom
“Derek, my wolf, my best friend, father of my children. When you walked into my restaurant for the very first time I felt this pull towards you. I couldn’t explain it but I felt safe when you were around. You were so patient with me and so kind moving our relationship at my pace. You made me feel confident to face the world and move past my fears. I am not the same girl I was a year ago and I have you to thank for that. You not only accepted me for me and my past but you also accepted my daughters. I couldn’t ask for a better father for my children. It’s a shame it did take you so long,” she laughs and so do I and the crowd. “I promise you my undying loyalty and love. I will stand by your side and love you forever even after I die.”“The rings,” says Dimitri. I turn to Mark and he hands me the rings. “Derek, do you take Davina to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to cherish her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsa
Derek I am super annoyed I got kicked out of my own room again. I haven’t seen Davina all day. I almost made it to the nursery to see her and the kids but Mark stopped me. I could smell Davina as she left the nursery for our bedroom. I can hear the girls chatting and laughing while they are getting pampered. I’m glad I rented the spa chairs. It sounds like they’re all having a good time. I’ve been rocking both the twins for quite some time before Mark walks in. “We gotta get you ready bro, guests are starting to arrive.” I sigh, not wanting to put my babies down. “Will you take Thierry and put him in his crib.” Mark walks over and takes Thierry. I stand and put Accalia in her crib. They’re both fast asleep. I check on Braydon who is also sleeping. Miss Kat and her niece were kind enough to volunteer to watch the twins while everyone else is at the wedding. “Being a father looks good on you Derek, but if I don’t drag you out of here your bride will be down the aisle before you,” he
DavinaThe day has finally arrived. We pushed the date again to March 25th but it’s finally arrived. I will be Mrs. Brooks by the end of the day. Calista and Keila forced Derek to stay in one of the rooms on the second floor. He wasn’t too happy about that. Everyone in the wedding stayed at the estate last night. We set up an extra crib in the nursery for Braydon.Keila is up early with me. We are having coffee and feeding the little ones. Malayah has been more compliant so we had my uncle seal the windows and outside doors so she can’t leave the house. This way she can at least leave her room. She’s helping me feed Thierry while I feed Accalia. I really wish this was truly her. Keila and I both snap our heads to the door. We can hear Derek arguing with Mark and we both laugh.“Mark at least let me see my kids. I’m not banned from seeing them before the wedding.”“No can do bro, Davina is in there right now.” I can’t help but laugh. “Keila I’m going to go shower. Let Mark know he can
DavinaBoth Derek and I snap our heads towards the door when we hear yelling. Derek rushes to open the door and finds Malayah’s guards about to knock on the door.“What is it? Where is Malayah?”“Alpha I’m sorry. Malayah went to the library to read. She jumped out the window and took off. We have wolves on her trail but she has quite the head start.”“Damn it!” “Derek we need to get to her before he does,” I say. “Davina please stay with the children, I don’t want to leave them unprotected in case this is a diversion. I want you and Maliyah in the nursery. I’ll have guards outside the window, in the room with you and outside the door.” Derek takes out his phone and dials a number.“Gabriel please come back to the estate.” He hangs up and uncle Gabriel appears.“What’s going on?”“I need you to go with Davina and Malayah into the nursery and seal it shut. No one gets in or out until I return. Malayah gave the guards the slip and ran off. I’ll deal with you two later, go find her,” he
