Chapter 68

Lucy drove back to Riverwood Residences and helped a distraught Sienna get settled. By the time they were done, it was already midnight.

Lucy held Sienna and said soothingly, "Stop thinking about it, Sienna. Have a good night's rest. Tomorrow will be a brand new start!"

Sienna returned her hug and said, "I'm glad to have you by my side, Lucy. Don't ever leave me."

Lucy rubbed her back and said gently, "I'll always be with you, silly. Now, it's time for bed. Things will only get better from here."

"Okay." Sienna shut her eyes. Half an hour later, her breathing evened out.

Seeing that she was fast asleep, Lucy tiptoed lightly as she headed to the bathroom to wash up.

Unbeknownst to her, once she was gone, Sienna slowly opened her eyes. Her gaze was empty and dispirited.

Lucy had just finished washing her face when her phone rang.

"Hello, am I speaking to Ms. Everhart? Could you come over to the hotel? Your father's causing too much of a ruckus, and we can't stand him anymore
