After eliminating Daimon's creatures and removing the curse off their baby. Evelyn and I proceeded to Alden's sanctuary, which is safe from Daimon and his monstrous army.

I gently placed Evelyn on a chair made up of leaves inside the sanctuary. She got herself comfortable, her eyes scanning the cozy space where once Alden was present. 

“This place feels… peaceful,” Evelyn whispered.

“It’s like Alden is still here” I knelt in front of her, cupping her face in my hands. My eyes held a mix of love, pain, and determination.
