2024-10-29 19:42:56I was packing my luggage when I heard a knock on my door. Napatikhim muna ako bago pinapasok kung sino man na kumatok.
"Pasok, bukas yan". Pumasok naman agad ang trusted secretary ko sa clinic na si Samantha. May dala dala syang mga papeles na nagpabuntong hininga naman sa akin.
"I am very sorry doc. But ayokong maistorbo ka sa bakasyon mo kaya now palang, pirmahan mo na tong lahat para ako na'ng bahala dito." sabi nya sabay tawa na nang aasar.
"You know that I trust you with these na so bakit mo pa dinala to dito Sammyy" I dramatically said. "Sisirain mo lang mood ko ehh!!" Pabagsak akong humiga sa kama na ikinatawa naman ni Sam.
"Don't worry. Ako na'ng bahala sa lahat but these papers really need your signature. Yung iba pwede pa sana next week pero three weeks kang mawawala kaya now palang pirmahan mo na. Ako na muna magpapatuloy sa pag i-impaki mo" she said and nilagay nya sa may paanan ng kama ang mga kailangan kong pirmahan.
"Ganito ba talaga kadami yung pipirmahan ko? Bakit di mo to isinama sa mga papeles na pinirmahan ko kanina? Ansama mo" sabi ko sabay paawa sa kanya. Sanay na sakin si Sammy na may pagka childish talaga ako minsan. Sa tinagal tagal ba naman nyang nagtratrabaho sakin. She's patient and she works hard sa lahat ng pinapagawa ko sa kanya. Trustworthy din sya kaya hindi lang secretary ang turing ko sa kaniya kundi isang kapatid na rin.
"Kailangan mo kasing mag focus muna dun sa mga nauna kanina. Tsaka sinadya kitang puntahan talaga para tumulong sa pagpa-pack mo. Three weeks kang mawawala kaya mamimiss kita. Sige na simulan mo na yan at ako na maghahatid sayo" Pasimple nyang sabi.
Lihim naman akong napangiti sa turan nya. Gusto ko syang asarin but I knew better. She's a shy type of girl and minsan lang sya mag open sa iba.
Sinimulan ko nalang basahin ang mga papeles na dala nya at pinirmahan ko na ang mga dapat pirmahan.
Nang matapos na ako, sakto rin na kakatapos lang mag pack si Sam sa mga gamit ko. I checked the time and 6pm na. 10:55pm pa ang flight ko kaya may enough time pa para makapag freshen up ako.
"Ibababa ko na muna gamit mo sa kotse and maligo ka na doc. Sa labas nalang tayo kumain para dika ma late if ever." She offered.
"Hoy Samantha! Magbabakasyon lang ako at babalik din naman. mami-miss mo ba talaga ako ng sobra at ang bait at sweet mo ngayon. Huwag kang mag-alala dadalhan kita ng pasalubong hahaha" nang aasar na tugon ko sa kanya.
"Ansama mo!!" naiinis na nag walk out naman sya. Napatawa nalang ako sa pula ng mga pisngi nya sa hiya. What a cute girl.
9:30pm at nasa airport na ako. And si Samantha? Ayun umiiyak na yumakap sakin bago ako pinapasok sa airport. Mamimiss nya daw ako sa work. Hindi kasi yun sanay na matagal akong mawawala sa work. Ngayon lang din ako makakapag bakasyon after how many years.

I met Samantha on her college days. Bumisita ako sa orphanage non and I saw her there na nakikipaglaro sa mga bata. Sister Angela, yung nag alaga sakin sa orphanage, sya yung nag kwento sakin kung sino si Sam. Samantha lost her parents in a car accident nung 9 years old sya. She's with them when that happened. Walang memory din daw si Sam nung naka recover sya and since then, sa orphanage na sya tumira. She aged out of the system na rin kaya working student sya non. Mabait na bata si Sam kaya madali rin napalagay ang loob ko sa kanya. I can see myself on her. Kaibahan lang namin is that she was given a chance to know her parents and be with them kahit sandali lang. Ever since kasi, dko nakilala parents ko.
To cut the story short, I offered her na ako na magpapa aral sa kanya and mag focus nalang sya sa studies nya. She declined at first pero later on pumayag din sya. After she graduated, sa clinic ko na sya nagtratrabaho. I suggested na mag apply sya sa mga hotels since Hotel Management natapos nya. But she said na gusto nya daw work nya sa clinic and kontento na sya dun. Ayaw na daw nya sa iba at isa pa, close daw sya sa may ari, which is me, kaya daw advantage sa kanya. Hahaha silly girl. Well, lucky me kasi masipag sya sa work.
It's time to board on the plane na kaya nag ready na ako. Malapit nako sa bukana ng plane when someone put their arms around my shoulders which made me stilled.
A manly scent made my heart race fast and a breathe near my nape made me shiver.
"Don't move. Act as if I am with you and nothing's wrong. I need help"

Get it together Xandra! Eh hindi mo pa nga nakikita ang mukha ng lalaki ganyan ka na mag react! Tsaka excuse me lang ha, estranghero yang naka akbay sayo ngayon kaya umayos ka! Pano pag napahamak ka dahil dyan?! Talandi mo rin eh no?
I silently scold myself on how my body reacted to the man I don't even know.
Pasimple naman akong kumawala sa akbay nya at hinarap sya.
Napatulala ako ng sandali sa mga matang sumalubong sakin.

Hindi agad nag sink in sa isip ko yung sinabi nya.
Kaya kumurap muna ako ng isang beses bago magsalita.
"Sino ka ba? I don't even know you and yet nang aakbay ka nalang bigla?"
"I'm very sorry. I know it was rude of me to treat you that way but trust me, hindi ako manyak or anything. I just need help. Please help me." He apologitacally said.
"care to explain more sir?"
"I'm Alex," he extended his hands to me for shakehands. "my ex-fiance is in that plane and I need help in getting rid of her. Matagal na syang nangungulit and even in my f*ck*ing flight andyan sya. I could've avoided her kung di lang nagka problema yung private plane ko. Which is I have a hunch na kagagawan din ni Miranda yun. Please help me just this once and I owe you a lot."
Hindi parin totally nag si-sink in sakin lahat ng sinabi nya when i just blurted out the words "Fine, just this once"
He smiled and holds my hand.
Wow he do have those dimples and that smile, it's what they called killer smile.
"Thank you so much"
We were already in the plane and I was about to go to my seat when he stopped me.
"Where are you going?"
I gave him a "duh" look.
"To my seat obviously..?"
Realization shows on his face then he smiled again.
"No worries, we will be sitting with each other. Just follow me."

I was lost with my thoughts when a girl suddenly hugged him in front of me. I see that she's in a uniform and I'm guessing she's one of the flight attendants.
Alex unwrapped the arms of that beautiful woman and put his one arm around my waist.

Just like sa mga movies na napanood ko at sa mga kwentong nabasa ko online, I checked myself if I am still wearing the same clothes I remembered wearing. 'Thanks G!' We talked a lot over our breakfast. Palakwento rin si Alex. A total opposite of what I thought businessmen are. -Alex- I watched her as she walked towards inside the hotel. I watched her until she was out of my sight. All of a sudden ay napangiti nalang ako sabay iling.
