‘Guys, be nice.’ I said sternly through the mind link, shocking my pack from their standoffish behaviour as soon as I entered the dining room.
“Queenie!” a little voice squealed behind me, a huge smile slipped onto my face as I turned around and swept Tatiana off the ground into my arms. She giggled loudly, which caught the attention of the enti
Waking up at the crack of dawn was nothing new for me, I’ve always been a morning person, but this morning had me feeling extra happy so I decided that I would treat the packs to pancakes for breakfast. I rushed through my morning routine and ran downstairs to the kitchen, after ushering the breakfast crew out and calling in my own reinforcements I set to work on making the batter.
Deciding that I’d seen enough, I hurdled over the stream which gained the attention of the four black eyed devils who were now snarling at me. I studied their posture and noticed that the ginger coloured wolf to the far left had a slight limp, the dirt brown one next to him had an ugly scratch across his stomach which looked like a fairly recent injury, the darker brown wolf had a slight twitch which told me his reflexes weren’t too good and lastly the dirty cream wolf stood turned slightly to his right in a protective stance and from that I gathered that he had an injury on his right.
~Dream~I took in the familiar surroundings with confusion; I was standing in the meadow under the huge Willow tree behind the cement bench that over looked the Northern Border of the Blue Moon Pack territory.
WHAT?!Familiar heat flowed through my veins&ldquo
After a quick breakfast I headed to my office, I went through all the information we had on recent rogue attacks and made note of any significant events that would help us in tracking them easier, we had Tatiana now and hopefully that would give us an upper hand, but I still needed to speak to Devin about the particulars of the attack. At 8 am I decided to
“Are you okay?” Tatiana nodded despite the discomfort on her face.“Now that everyone is acquainted; we can get this meeting underway.” Without giving anyone time to react I rolled out the map on the table and immediately everyone’s eyes focused on it. “Tatiana, is it safe to assume that the rogue prison in which you were is to the e
I thought about throwing him in prison and dosing him with wolfsbane, but that would raise a lot of unnecessary suspicion, especially since we don’t know who he is working with and what his motives are.I would have to speak with Tatiana to confirm my qualms before I am sure about who the ring leader is. Then only can I take action into devising a plan to throw t
The moment I stepped into my office, I was met by an annoyed Papa Jamie, “What happened to mind linking me when you were done?” he asked with a raised eyebrow which I returned with a sheepish smile.“Uhh… Oops!” I said which he rolled his eyes at. I took a seat opposite him at my desk and asked, “So, what did you need Papa J?”
The Moon Goddess' mate is now exclusively available on Goodnovel BLURB Sucking in a deep breath my eyes fell closed involuntarily and I felt my head spin for a moment in pure delirium when the sudden terror struck me. The ear-piercing scream building in my throat never made it past my lips as a hand covered my mouth, and bulky arms encircled my waist, successfully cutting off any movement from my upper body. “Why are you following me?” The husky whisper send my body into a second frenzy and it was only when the fog cleared from my brain that I registered that my back was up against a tree. Every nerve ending in my body was on fire as I stared into the cobalt blue eyes of my captor. Jasper Queen stared down at me with stern expectation and though his hand was no longer covering my mouth, I couldn’t speak. “Speak up!” He spat making me flinch and swallow the ball in my throat. “I- I wasn’t following you…” I croaked hoping he believed me despite the unconvincing tone. “So you were
My sleep was broken by the door to the infirmary opening, I heard faint whispers as I tried to will myself from my sleepy haze.“Shh baby, Aunty Allison is sleeping.” My eyes fluttered open and caught sight of the three of them looking down at Dominic in my arms.“Aunty Allison is awake.” I smiled and looked at Devin, silently asking him to help me up, which he caught onto without hesitation.“Aww, you guys are so sweet. Why couldn’t you be so sweet when I got out of labour?” Yasmin slapped Oliver on the chest and her daughter giggled.“Oh Yas, don’t give him such a hard time, Devin has had more than enough practice over the last few months.” I laughed as I shuffled up into a sitting position.“Damn right. By now I know what every look means without her saying a word.” His eyes widened and Yasmin laughed. “That bad huh?” She grimaced.“It was worth every moment. Meet Dominic Summer, future Alpha of the Moon Shadow pack.” I stroked my son’s fluffy dark brown hair. “Can I touch him?” O
My lungs squeezed from the lack of oxygen entering my body, I didn’t know how much more I could take, but I was determined to deliver my baby before I gave up.I could hear Devin’s voice offering soothing, motivational words to me, but his voice was slowly being completely drowned out by the increased pain that engulfed my body. “Come on Alpha, give me one big push, you can do it!” Dr Winter’s voice broke through my haze, heeding her words I drew in the most painful breath I ever took and focussed my energy on pushing. I didn’t hear the cheers or the cries of my baby, all I could see was the world turn red around me, the last thing I saw was Dr WInters holding my baby upside down, slapping his bottom before the world disappeared. ∞ Dream ∞“We meet again my sweet Shadow.” Mother Selene greeted with a smile and spread her arms for me.“Mother Selene!” I threw myself into her arms, I have so many times in these past few years gone to bed hoping that she would appear in my dreams
“Alpha Allison, speaking.” I panted, feeling heavily out of breath. “Uh, are you okay, Ma’am?” The voice on the other end of the line queried with uncertainty. “Yes, I’m fine. Just out of breath, I ran to the phone you see.” I laughed, “Who am I speaking to?” I asked politely, feeling my breathing returning to normal. “You’re speaking to Benjamin from the Cresent Moon pack.” he trailed off nervously and I frowned. “I’m looking for Alpha Summers.” He continued. “You’re speaking to her, how can I help you Benjamin?” I wondered where Oliver and Yasmin were and worry bubbled up inside me. The young man was quiet for a while before he spoke again, “I- Uh…” His confusion made me giggle. “Benjamin, calm down and tell me what’s going on? Where are Oliver and Yasmin?” I soothed. “They’re fine. They don’t know that I’ve called you.” My face once again pulled into a frown. Taking a seat on Devin’s chair, I spoke again, “Why have you called me, Benjamin?” “I am sorry Alpha, I assumed you were a
I smoothed the invisible wrinkles on the lilac and white A-line wedding dress.“Will stop that, you’re going to crease it if you keep doing that.” My mom scowled in a very unlike her tone. “I’m nervous.” I shot back and she sighed.“About what honey? You are marrying a man you have been in love with practically your whole life and are fated by Mother Selene to be with. You guys have been through thick and thin in the past year and come out so strong together, it can only get better from here.” She soothed, trying to calm me down from my panic.“I just- I don’t know…” I sighed, is this what cold feet feels like? “Is it the rejection on your mind?” my eyes fell, not wanting to admit that I hardly slept last night as the scene kept replaying in my mind. “Oh Allison.” She pulled me into a hug. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, mom.” I mumbled into her shoulder, feeling annoyed with myself.“There’s nothing wrong with you darling, you’re going to go out there today as a beauti
“Everybody out.” I called as we stepped into the room, I could feel the anger still coursing through my veins, but I simultaneously felt hopeless.“Alphas.” Connor greeted as he passed and was followed by the rest of the group that had gathered in Christopher’s infirmary room.I approached his bed and took a seat beside Taylor who looked worried by what was about to come, while Devin paced at the foot of the bed, looking deep in thought.“How are you feeling?” I started.“Weak, but okay.” He answered nervously.“Look Chris, what happened today is unacceptable. I understand that it’s something that you have little to no control over, but we need to find a permanent solution for this, before anyone else gets hurt.” I explained gravely.“I understand, that’s why I think it’s best if I leave the pack.” Taylor gasped and sprang onto her feet in shock.“You can’t do that!” She cried, tears already gathering in her eyes. “Taylor, calm down and let’s talk about this.” I reasoned and t
“Allison, can you please get off the table?” Devin raised an eyebrow at me.“Why should I? Tomorrow is our wedding and here you are doing pack work.” I asked, pulling my face in disgust.“Babe…” Devin stood up and pulled me closer to the edge of the table so that he could put his arms around my waist. “That’s exactly why i’m trying to get everything finished now, I am trying to make sure that I’m ahead with my work so that Hunter doesn’t have a hard time and I get to spend all my time with you, without any disturbance for the next week.” He explained slowly.“You’re taking a week off, to spend time with me?” My eyes grew wide in awe. “Of course, my darling.” I leaned forward and placed a sweet kiss on his lips.“Okay, you can do your work in peace now.” I grinned and jumped off the table.“Wait, don’t you have anything to finish up before tomorrow?” Devin frowned, stopping me from exiting the office. “No, because i know how to delegate.” I grinned and walked out, leaving him s
“Allison, may I have a word with you?” Yasmin’s voice dragged my attention away from Peyton and Dristan’s pointless argument.“Sure.” I turned to follow her away from the crowd. Today was the last day the Crescent Moon Pack would spend with us, their training was finally complete and they were ready to lead their pack.
“Allie cat!” Devin groaned from his position at the opposite end of my desk.“What, Devin?” I sighed, looking up from the stack of application forms I was sorting through.
