Chapter 3

"This is none of the business of outsiders."

Mike looked at Lucius with piercing eyes as Lucius brought his massive body in front of Riley.

At that time, Riley was confused about what was happening, but she kept quiet and let Lucius be in front of her. Besides, she didn't want to meet Mike at all—the traitor.

"I heard Riley doesn't want to see you." Lucius voice was low and heavy, he didn't want to back down from facing Mike at all.

Now his desire had peaked. After hearing everything, he had lost control and certainly didn't want this damn man with his beloved Riley.

"I am her husband, you have no right to interfere in this matter!" Mike raised his voice, he looked so shameless at what Riley knew.

The more she looked at Mike, the more Riley got sick of seeing Mike. He was an ignorant man, had tricked her and now what else to talk about?

Riley knew very well what Mike was going to talk about was bullshit.

Her frail body got strength from the man she had just met. The big man in front of her covered half of her body, giving Riley peace.

“Riley, do you want to come with him?” Lucius asked Riley, he looked at her with warm, calm eyes. It seemed so concerned that Riley felt strange with the way Lucius looked.

They had just met, but Lucius cared deeply for her. Riley nodded her head and then opened her helpless mouth.

"I don't want to go with him, I never will." Riley's gaze was like a bottomless abyss, it was filled with a deep sadness. She was teary and looked so weak that she wanted to make Lucius protect her, hug her and do many other crazy things.

"Did you hear that? She doesn't want to come with you at all."

Lucius turned his gaze to Mike. He knew this man was Riley's husband, and they were now hopeful, the look in his eyes was not friendly at all and Lucius wanted to hit the man in front of him. The veins in his hands were showing, he held himself very well.

"Do not interfere. Riley, come here." Mike stepped forward and Lucius big hand went straight on to push Mike.

“This is my house, and Riley has already said she doesn't want to come home with you. I think I heard that you had an illicit relationship with a guy named Jason.” Lucius smirked, Lucius words just now had hurt Mike's pride.

His jaw tightened, and he was so annoyed with Lucius. Meanwhile, Lucius turned his gaze towards Riley.

“If you need a lawyer, you can tell me. I'll help you, especially since he's been having an affair, so it's easy to take care of something like that, Riley.” In stark contrast to when he faced Mike, Lucius voice was as soft as heaven's song, he had a beautiful, brilliant face that made him look like the best man now.

Riley was taken aback, she opened her mouth slightly and nodded her head.

"Of course, Lucius."

Bugh!

"MIKE!" shouted Riley

Mike's emotion hit Lucius right in the face, it made Lucius look down. He moved his tongue inside his mouth, touching the inside of Mike's punch which he thought was like a useless wind blow.

The bodyguards at Lucius house immediately approached them and wanted to restrain Mike, but Lucius raised his hand, asking them to back off.

Lucius has a bad temper, very bad compared to the others, what Mike has done has made him explode. He stepped forward and hit Mike's body so hard that Mike immediately fell to the ground with a groan in his stomach.

Lucius wasn't satisfied yet, he hit Mike on the head, again and again, he was so strong that Mike couldn't retaliate.

Riley trembled watching it, Mike was indeed the man who had let her down, but she still loved Mike. With her body trembling, Riley embraced Lucius arms and looked at him with terrified eyes that shook unbelievably.

“Lucius… Please, stop that.” Riley pleaded with Lucius, and Lucius caught his breath. He took Riley's hand and then stood up and backed away from Mike, who was wiping his chapped lips.

"Go away, if you show yourself in front of me, I can kill you." Lucius threatens Mike, and the threat is genuine. It was the first time Riley had seen Lucius eyes bark like a beast, given gave her goosebumps.

"Of course, you who hit me first, I won't let you. Just wait for the call of the case."

Lucius pulled Riley's hand in and looked at his bodyguards, who immediately understood Lucius wish. When the two of them had entered Luciuss house, the bodyguards pushed Mike's body so that he immediately left their master's house.

"Damn it! Riley! I'm waiting for you at home!"

Mike screamed and Riley heard that she sat on the sofa with a frail body, her eyes looked so empty and then she cried very hard. This surprised Lucius, he saw Riley and just hugged him.

Riley noticed Luciuss body's warmth, but she let it be.

“My apologies for getting you into trouble, Lucius….” Riley's voice trembled violently. Today is the happiest day of her life.

It is said that if there is an unlucky day, there is usually the happiest day later. It was some exchange and Riley hoped it would come soon. But her wish was so stupid, of course, it didn't come. She was still crying from the excruciating pain.

"Don't apologize for what he did."

Lucius voice was firm, he didn't want to make Riley feel guilty for what Mike had done.

"Today is our second wedding anniversary... When I went to his office, I saw him making out with Jason, his secretary."

Riley looked into Lucius surprised eyes, but he listened quietly to Riley's words.

“You know… they used me as cover for their actions. I am like a tool in their eyes…!”

Riley was crying profusely, hearing that of course, Lucius was furious. He couldn't stand Riley being made this way by Mike and Jason.

"I will repay you," Lucius said in his heart.

His firm grip had become weak compared to earlier, he rubbed Riley's eyes gently.

"He doesn't deserve you, I know it hurts a lot, but don't think about them, I will help you if you want revenge."

Lucius reassured Riley, for some reason, Riley felt comfortable with the way Lucius sharp eyes looked. She seemed to get something extraordinary from the figure of Lucius, he looked solid and firm. Lucius also said something plainly.

“You can help me, Lucius?”

"Of course. I'll make them both pay for what they did to you."

Lucius smiled and that smile gave off a chill that made Riley's body shiver, making her feel that a demon had appeared to help her.
