New Life

Alphonse Monroe slowly opened his eyes and stared at the white ceiling. He touch his chest as he remembered the pain he felt moments ago. He looked at his bedside table. He stared at the clock and couldn't help but grabbed it. He inspected it and felt himself disoriented. 

He went back to 13 years in to the past. He pinched himself and felt pain. It wasn't a dream he was given another chance to live. 

He stood up and walked towards his small desks.  He grab a pen and a paper and he started writing down his dream. 

He tried to recall the last moments in his life and felt himself cry. He was foolish and blind. He pried himself for being smart yet he was use as a pawn for 15 years. He needed answers but most of all he needed to verify if he had children. 

He took his phone and dialed a familiar number. After 3 rings the call was answered "Young Master good morning" his secretary greeted. "I need you to investigate something for me...

Meanwhile in another part of the city a little girl was sleeping beside her little brother. 

"Lilian it is time to wake up" the little girl felt someone nudging her. Slowly opening her eyes she looked around and felt disoriented. Looking around her surroundings her eyes widen.

'where am I?' she panicked looking around, she realize she was inside a taxi. Beside her was a woman and on her other side was a little boy. 

"Brat what is with you? You look more idiotic than normal" the woman beside her commented as she looked at the girl with disgust.

"Maam we are here!" the driver commented as they stopped.

"Finally!" the woman happily stated as she smiled making her look like the joker. Elizabeth gulped following the woman exiting the car. Before they knew it they were infront of a building.

They were ushered inside the building. The building was old and you could see the paint slowly chipping off. Looking around her Elizabeth started to feel scared. The boy beside her sensing her fear held her hand. A middle aged man slowly walked towards them.

"Mrs. Sato you finally arrived are this the children you were talking about in the phone?" the middle aged man greeted the woman and staring at the two kids.

"Yes Director this are my daughter's bastards I can't express how much I appreciate you taking them off my hands"

"We are more tha welcome Madam Sato" the director and Madam Sato shared a knowing smile.

"Lilian Alec from now on this is your new home listen to Director Mitch" Mrs Sato happily instructed them.

'Lilian...Alec....Lilian Monroe....Alec Monroe..' Elizabeth repeated the name inside her brain until everything clicked. Her eyes widen and her heart beat fasten before she knew it. She pulled the boy's hand and shouted. "RUN"

Mrs. Sato and Director Mitch were taken a back as the kids run for the exit. 

"RUN AFTER THEM" Director Mitch ordered his men. The two men behind him immediately nodded and gave chase. "Don't let those bastards get away we already have a buyer waiting for them" he added. 

"Mrs. Sato why don't we talk inside? We still need to discuss about the money" Director Mitch explained guiding Mrs. Sato to his office.

Elizabeth led the boy away from the building until they saw a busy street. It had rows and rows of commercial buildings and small shops. 

They found a small alley between two shops. They sat down and she signal her brother to be quiet as she observed multiple men running in the streets probably chasing after them. Both breathless Elizabeth looked at the boy beside her. 

Examining the boy he was handsome. He had black hair and deep grey eyes with snowy white skin. 'Alec Monroe' she thought

If she wasn't mistaken she was now inside the novel "The Film Emperor's Journey to Love". 

Lilian Monroe and Alec Monroe were the twin children of the second male lead and a unimportant side character. They only appeared in the later chapters after the time skip. 

Her mother Yui Sato from what she remembered reading was a spoiled lady who loved the male lead to the point of obsession. 

They were the result of a scheme gone wrong her mother tried to catch the male lead but instead of sleeping with the male lead she got pregnant with the second male lead.

After finding out of her pregnancy her family kicked her out of the house. She was taken in by her old nanny. 

Sadly Fu Yui met her tragic end when she died a few days after giving birth. Her twin children was taken in by there nanny but the nanny couldn't afford raising two children and called Yui Sato's parents for help. 

The couple took the children but instead of taking care of them they sold the children. 

The children were sold to a faraway province, worked to the bone and abused until they were found by the female lead years later. 

They were taken in by the female lead thinking they were the male lead's children. They raised the twins with there own children sadly they couldn't adjust to there new life and rebelled until they were found died of overdose from drugs and alcohol. 

She couldn't let that happen to them. She slowly peeked outside and observed some of those chasing them. They stopped at each store and were talking to passerbys. 

'What to do?' she thought judging from her appearance and from what she remembered reading they were currently 6 years old right now. 

"Alec come on we need to hide" she instructed her brother as they hide behind the file of boxes. If any of those passby they wouldn't see the twins they would be in trouble.
