The condition

Ten minutes passed and Saffron asked permission to return to her quarters. It was already late into the night and she was starting to feel lazy. She assumed it was her body calling her to go to bed.

The subordinate didn’t speak but stepped out of the way for her to leave. However, just when she was about to walk past him, Saffron began to feel weird.

She clutched her chest as she felt her heartbeat accelerating. Her organs were burning and her head was starting to become heavy. “What is wrong with me? Please, help me! I feel... hot! My inside is burning up!”

Gerald watched her without a word as she started to tear at her own uniform while screaming for help without offering her one. Instead, he locked them inside the room.

Saffron’s throat started to turn dry as her gaze turned blurry. Before she knew what was happening, she swayed and fell toward the subordinate, but he stepped aside and let her body fall like a sack of grain.

Almost twenty minutes later, Caspian came out of the bathroom to see his subordinate standing beside the chef who was lying on the cold floor.

“Was the soup spiked or poisoned?” he asked while trying to maintain his composure.

“It was spiked,” Gerald replied. If it was poisoned, the Chef would have been dead by now, he thought.

Caspian’s lips curled into a sardonic smile as his menacing eyes darkened even more. “It seems they don’t have the guts to kill me just yet,“ he said while making his way to the bed. Halfway to his bed in his pajamas, he tripped over nothing and almost fell.

“Boss!” Gerald immediately rushed forward to support him. “Are you ok?”

“I’m feeling dizzy. You should go to sleep now,” he said.

“But, the doctor said it was out. How did it return?“

“Don’t freak out, my drink might have been spiked at the club." Seeing Gerald was still getting worried, he added, "It's just aphrodisiac, it won’t kill me.”

“Yes, boss.” The guard stayed silent for a moment before asking, “Should I get rid of her?”

Caspian glanced down at the unconscious Saffron and shook his head, “No, they want me to kill her, but I won’t. Let’s see what they planned on achieving with this. You may leave.” He instructed as he continued towards his bed.

“Yes, boss.”

After Gerald left, Caspian felt dizzy and he swayed again but quickly held onto his bed frame for support. He shook his head to get rid of his blurry vision before climbing his king sized bed.

‘What the hell was that drug? Soaking in cold water for so long did nothing.’ He frowned slightly. He only told Gerald it was an aphrodisiac to not make the guy lose his mind and go on a killing spree. They are in a tender moment and nothing bad must come from their end, otherwise, his plans would be ruined.

While thinking, he caught sight of the chef trying to stand up.

When she finally stood on her feet, her demeanour had changed. The young lady who looked like a scaredy-cat a while ago was now looking like a possessed bitch.

She slowly started to take off her uniform. At this point, he finally understood what was going on but couldn’t stop it even though he wanted to. His body was also feeling hot and his d!ck was already stretching beyond its original size.

When she let her dress fall off, hella! Caspian saw the most amazing and jaw-dropping body he had ever seen. Never in his long years would he believe that the shy and reserved lady of just now would suddenly become a wild cat with an alluring body when she takes off her clothes.

‘What are my brothers planning?’ he thought with his eyes narrowed.

Caspian isn’t the type to droll over women, nor was he a man that’s obsessed with sex, but at this vulnerable moment, he couldn’t help it. He knew he wanted her, all of her!

He watched with narrowed eyes that were filled with lust as she made her way seductively towards him. Caspian didn’t waste another second before he pounced on her and in no time, they were tangled under the sheets with moaning sounds and heavy groans accompanying their half–minded act.

The next morning…

Caspian awoke to sore muscles. He grunted as he tried to sit up due to his aching head.

Once he was seated, he felt something was wrong and looked down at the object on his waist to see it was a female!

Flame brewed in his eyes as he glared maliciously at the naked woman lying beside him. Just as he was about to mercilessly push her off the bed, his mind jolted and what happened the night before flashed past.

Caspian shut his eyes, balled his fist, and gritted his teeth. “Atlas... Sebastian...” He stretched the names of his brothers on his tongue before his lips extended into a villainous smile. “Very good, you won this time,” he admitted. Although he didn’t know which of his brothers was responsible, either way, both of them would suffer for it. He left the bed and headed for the bathroom.

A while later, Saffron stirred awake with a throbbing headache. She tried to sit up but it was extremely difficult. As she continued to force herself, an agonizing pain hit her senses from her lower body.

She whimpered as she wondered what had happened to her body. Lowering her eyes to where the pain was coming from, she was shocked beyond imagination after raising the covers.

“Ahhhhhhh!!” a bone-curling scream tore through her throat before she burst into sorrowful sobs.

She has been raped! Her flower has been stolen by a rapist! She sobbed loudly.

Saffron’s mind was too slow to register where she was or what she was doing there, until the bathroom door was pushed open.

Standing by the door in his full glory was Caspian, the man of every woman’s dream. Tall with straight hairy legs, smooth and muscular built with a fine line of hair trailing down his chest to where the eyes could reach– above his white towel that was loosely tied around his waist.

His strong aura couldn’t be ignored even though he just had a warm bath and his tanned skin was flushed.

Whoever saw Caspian for the first time would think the man has a problem with smiling. Standing there with his hair dripping water, Saffron’s mournful cries abruptly ceased.

Saffron trailed her teary eyes to his dashing stoic face that sheltered two pairs of emotionless eyes and swallowed. Scenes from last mind eroded her mind all at once, causing her temple to throb with severe pain. No one knew if it was the lingering effect of the spiked drink or the fear of what Caspian might do to her.

“F– First Young–“

“You must have eaten a leopard’s gut to be so courageous to dare to bring me a spiked soup,” he said while making his way towards her.

Saffron’s face slowly drained of color. She fell into a scheme? How? She was with the soup the whole time! How was it spiked?

Unbeknownst to her, a few minutes she took to get the cleaning tools was more than enough to spike the soup. But who knows, the soup might have also been spiked under her watchful eyes in the kitchen.

Lost in thought, she had no idea when he walked to stand by the bed. He lowered his face and came a few inches away from hers before his malicious words jolted her mind back to reality.

“Saffron Graham, from Graham motherless home. You’ve been working for my family ever since you were seventeen and have been a junior chef for three years. You are desperately in need of $500,000 to buy your freedom from the orphanage and for that, you took lots of side jobs, including my brother’s deal to spike my drink.”

Saffron quickly shook her head. He was right about her background but was certainly wrong about the deal. “I– I swear, I know nothing about what happened with the soup. I promise, I’m innocent!”

Caspian leaned back and started walking towards his wardrobe. “Everyone tell me they are innocent until I put a gun on their forehead. But I have no intention of killing you... just yet. Instead, I’ll give you the money to pay for your freedom...”

Saffron bolted to her knees with difficulty and kowtowed to him to show her appreciation. But on a second thought, why would he help her without strings attached? Caspian is not a charity type of person... None of the Clintons are.

“Why are you helping me, Young Master Caspian?” she asked skeptically.

“On the condition that you poison my brothers.” He shifted his gaze to settle on her fear-stricken face. As though she was struck by a thunderbolt.

Although the orphanage was very large and contained around 10,000–12,000 children from different places around the world, it was poorly built with wood in the far end of the estate. The Grahams knew that couples who wanted to adopt children would grow mad if they knew of the poor environment the children were being brought up, despite the donations and contributions from people around the world, they came up with a strategy to build a better place, where couples could meet up with a few selected children to be adopted; according to the couples’ preference. That was why the government, private organizations, and individuals around the world who make donations to the orphanage haven’t been able to discover anything amiss. It’s been five days since she returned to the orphanage and Madam Graham didn’t ask for her like she thought. However, before they could wallow in their happiness, Saffron continued.“...however, I cannot just accept the offer, unless I see him, talk to him and I’m sure he’s also willing to be with me.” Saffron didn’t ask for too much.
