"Good evening, Mom, Dad." Bumeso ako sa kanilang pisngi. Umupo ako sa tapat ni Mom habang si Accius ay sa tabi ko. Si Dad ay nasa kabisera na lagi niyang inuupuan.

"Mabuti naman at nakasama ka, Niccolo. Is Sadie being a good wife?"

Accius nodded, then I felt his hand on my lap, caressing it. "She's always been a good wife."

Mom smiled proudly. Matamis itong ngumiti sa akin kaya pilit akong ngumiti pabalik. Now that I'm back here, I feel uncomfortable and stiffened.

"Hija, how's your stay in your husband's mansion?" Dad suddenly asked. Napakurap ako at nag-angat ng tingin sa kaniya.

"Maayos naman po, Dad," tipid na sagot ko.

"We're glad that you two are getting close to each other. Not that close, but soon you two will work it out, right?"

I bit my lower lip and nodded. Dad and Accius took over the conversation. They talk about business and I just nod and nod at their whole conversation. Imbis na mainip ako ay naiilang ako dahil sa malikot na kamay ni Accius na humahaplos sa hita
