Chapter 4 - That Night

"Move fast!" one whispered and Amara couldn't open her eyes. There are words of men that she didn't know. There are also sounds coming from helicopter.

I must be dreaming things.

She told herself. She was exhausted from a long journey from abroad. To think that their engagement was announced yesterday, and they will have a proper party later.

"Make sure not even a single scratch will happen to her or else, you'll all be killed!"

"What...?" she whispered and opened her eyes. And the familiar assistant has welcomed her eyes. "Adrian?" she asked.

"T-This is a mistake!"

It was rare for him to stutter. Unless, he was caught doing something.

"Where am I? Oh my goodness, are we in the sky?" Amara was confused and looked at below.

"Please don't move too much, milady---" she slapped his hands.

"Where are you taking me, huh?! I'm suing you for this!" She said and grunted, "Get me the fuck out!" she gritted her teeth and threaten them that she is going to open the door if they keep her there. 

Hardheaded and stubbon.

But that didn't happen and she was injected with sleeping dose that makes her asleep. Adrian never wanted to resort to that but he needed to take her safe and sound to his master.

"We brought her here, sound and safe." he said and Zachary who had just arrived entered the house and Amara is glaring at him.

"Well, the lady is insisting in seeing you," 

"Alright. Well done." and Adrian left just like that.

"What is the meaning of this?!" she asked and stand up. "How dare you take me in the very villa where you cheated on me! Hah! I can't believe what's running in that mind of yours." she said and gritted her teeth.

They were both left in the room and she ain't buying any excuse this time. She is fuming mad and knows that will not let go of whatever is happening right now.

This villa is not far from the city, but you can't come here without using helicopter. Boats are fordbidden to go there because of the strong currents that is swepting away.

"Have you really don't have shame!" she said and slapped him and was able to get a gun on the side. She pointed it on him.

"Amara, listen---" he tried to stopped her but she is unstoppable. She clicked the gun and Zachary slowly falls on the floor. Blood enveloped his body

"I...I..."

"Amara!" and someone had nudged her. Amara woke up with sweats all over her body.

"Are you alright? You're shoutin in you sleep!" it was her step mother who woke her up in the middle of the night with maids behind her. 

"I..." and she started sobbing. Grateful that it was all a dream.

"I need to come back to Neron... Mom, please," she sobbed in her arms while she is hugging her tight.

"Is it because of Zachary?"

Amara wasn't able to answer. She was left there to cry and hugged herself. Her mother understood in that moment. Amara hasn;'t move on yet.

The next day, Amara is determined to go back to where she had resided for the past four years. She wasn't able to go back when her father died because she was so scared. Now, she is running away again.

"The lawyer is here," her step mother looked at her daughter. Even though they are not blood related, she cares deeply for her. Amara is grateful for that.

"I will now read the last will," he said.

Her father died due to shock when their stocks suddenly falls apart. Like someone had been manipulating it. And a new company, the Le Stalle Corporation had acquired a large portion of it.

"I give my villa, 20% of all the stocks, a property in the West, to my dearest Wife Amelia," the lawyer said. It was conducted privately because Don Cortez knew that his relatives would try to get his hands on the riches he left.

Her mother is teary eyes and Amara was happy about it.

"And everything left to my dearest daughter, Amara," he said and they clapped their hands and hugegd her mother when the door suddenly opened.

It was Chaos, his right hand man entered. Amelia was horrified and alarmed, while Amara just sat there and looked at him.

"Amara, I see, the rumors are true," he said while there is a big gun in his back. He is muscular and big, like a punk. He is not just muscles but is very skilled in a handling gun.

And he had always admired the Don's only daughter, Amara.

"What are you doing here, Chaos?" she frowned. Like his name, anywhere he goes, chaos ensued. 

"Last will!" he said and smiled, "Surely your old man has finally made up his mind to give you to me, right?"

"What the hell are you talking about!" Amelia looked at him, "You still haven't gotten over from your illusions?" she asked him but then just lick his lips.

He had a tattoos on his right arm, but Amara and he is on the same age.

"Madam..." and then touches his chin, "Should I call you mother then?" he said and chuckled filled the room. Amara was not in a good mood ever since she had opened her eyes so she automatically rolled her eyes and stand up.

"Get out," she said and looked at him with a bored expression.

"Ara~ Don't be like that," he said trying to woo her. But the more he did so, the more disgusting it sounds. 

"Amon and Resin," and looked at them, "I am now the head of this house. Follow my orders," she added when they had second thoughts on whether they should do what she is saying or not.

"Y-Yes,"

"Wait," Chaos licked his lips. He had this beautiful smile but scary eyes, not to mention his look will pass as a model although he is a bit big for his age. "Doesn't that make me the Lord? Since I'm oing to marry you"

"Stop with your illusions,"

"This is not illusions, Amara," he said and knelt and kissed her hand which she had slapped in disgust. She looked at him like she was disusted by his mere presence.

"Don't you dare touch me!" she said but the gentle voice of Chaos suddenly turned dark and grabbed her wrist.

"Amara, Don Cortez is no longer here. You are not protected anymore," he said and snickered on her in which she had slapped his hands and Amelia pushed him.

"Amon!" as if cold water has been thrown on them, they finally came back in their senses.

Chaos turned into a werewolf.

"Ahhh!" the lawyer almost fainted when Amon and Resin turned into werewolf too. Amara couldn't transform. Her mother is a human, so the management can't be handed to her. 

"Grrr!" Chaos wanted to take Amara but Amon had jumped to protect her. They can't recklessly turned into one, and a fundamental rule has been broken when they had transformed in front of a human!

"Let's go, mother," she said and they had run from that villa. The werewolves were left fighting. 

"I'll go here and call for security," she said and didn't expect to find that they were all beaten. Amara then looked at her phone and it's getting darker, midnight is going to come soon and...

"It's full moon." she gritted her teeth. Her mother had gone to take the car with the lawyer but she needed to checlk something from the villa first.

"I'm gonna call Lucas---" she was cut off when she bumped into a big one. His eyes are dark and red. Like he is about to consume her anytime. She was horrified.

"Amara!" Someone is calling her but then there are voices calling to her. The moon is seething and she can feel her heart throbbing.

I knew it! I should have came back there the moment our engagement is done!

She thinks that all of the stress had piled up and is causing her great distress right now.

She knew that Chaos is strong and that Amon and Resin does not stand a chance against him. That is why she kept running away.

"Amara!" and the voice called her again. She didn't know how long has she been running and found herself in the middle of the forest. 

"Finally, you stopped," Chaos turned into human again. She didn't know that she had crushed her phone due to panic.

"What the hell are you up to!" and she bet her mom is worried about her more than anyone else right now. She should've followed her instead of going separate ways to find more security! This is their one of their villa!

"You are my fated mate. Just accept it," he said and looked sad, "Amara..." and called her name.

"No!" she tried dialing Lucas but he was so fast that he was able to snatch the phone away from her and held her hand under the sky in the middle of the forest.

If they had been lovers, that would be very romantic. But...

"Let go of me!" she said and tried to resist him more. "Chaos!!!" She pushed him hard.

"My sweet, Amara..." and in that moment, she wanted to call that one person who would always show up whenever she is in danger.

"Zach!!!"

...and in the blink of an eye, Chaos was thrown away.
