Anna's POV

It was already three hours since Maya returned to the palace, but I was still giddy with excitement. I was glad that she was alive and also, Selena had been caught in her game.

Smacking my lips, I tied my hair up in a messy bun, watching the physician prepare medicine with the herbs he had brought in earlier.

Maya was asleep and even though I was drained of my energy, I dare not shut my eyes for fear of what was going to happen to her.

“My lady, you should have some rest.” The physician said immediately, like he was reading my mind.

“I’m fine, you don't need to worry about me.” I replied with a little smile to support my claim.

My words didn't convince him, the look on his face said it all but he didn't say anything, instead he returned his attention to the medicine he was preparing.

Holding her hand, I began to massage it, thinking about the pains she must have gone through back in the woods.

Another thing I was grateful for was the rogue wolves coul
