Chapter 90

Alice’s POV

For more than ten minutes after speaking with Selena, I was still numbed with surprise. I couldn't breathe and it was as if the blood in my body had dried up completely.

“If you don't want me to tell her what really happened, do your job right and do it well.” She said and then brushed past me, almost pushing me to the ground if not because of my strong grip.

Biting my bottom lips, I began to dart my eyes around, just in case Anna was around to hear this. Seeing no one else was in the alley I turned around and the next minute began to scurry towards the exit with my heart lodged in my mouth.

On reaching home, I still wasn't settled. It was as if the next minute Anna was going to sutter into the house and tell me she had found out the whole truth and so I kept staring at the door, fear raking through me.

“What is going to happen to me now?” I muttered, tugging my hair, not minding the pains I was causing to my scalp.

Now resting against the door, I slide through it

They’re playing with fire. Jasper will have no problem with killing Anna’s parents. Also, I can’t believe Alice. She knew about this all along. Wow! She is a deceiving mother.
