Anna's POV

Even though Alpha Noah had been saying invalid things, my interest was piqued when he snapped his fingers. No doubt, he had something important to say, and I, in turn, was itching to hear it.

“We are listening,” Maya said. She still had her gaze fixed on him, too, the same as mom and stepfather.

“How much did he purchase her from you?” He asked.

“Why? Is that necessary here?” Stepfather asked, his voice an octave high.

“I want to know.” Came his response and after a brief pause, he said, “I'm certain you guys want to take her back because you don't have the money to pay back…” he was still speaking when Maya hit her fist on the door.

With her eyes red with anger, she pointed her fingers to her head saying, “Have you lost it?”

“What are you talking about? I'm just trying to be of help here, nothing more.” He replied, allowing his shoulders to slump.
