Chapter 32: Losing Faith

"You seem unusually happy this morning," Cherish noted as Faith seemed to bounce into the room, plopping her leather purse on her desk.

Faith turned to her sister and shrugged. "I am happy. It was a wonderful night." She thought for a moment about how happy she actually was. She should be nervous after her little tryst in the office, worried about how Edwin would act today. Yet, for some odd reason, she wasn't.

"Oh? And what did you do?"

Faith grinned. "Just hung out."

"And how are you ladies this morning?" Deon pranced into the room. "Deon here could make you feel all better."

"Do any of the girls buy your shit?" Cherish shook her head as she opened up some files on her desk.

"Mexicans know all about the art of love. Try me and find out the truth of that."

Faith sat in her chair and laughed at him. "Well, since you're only half Mexican, I think I'll wait for the full package before trying it out."

Cherish laughed even though it was obvious she fought against it.
