Two weeks had whooshed by since I stepped into the Russo mansion. At first, it felt weird living with strangers. But things were starting to get better.

The grumpy security guard, Thomas, finally started nodding at me in the mornings, which was a huge improvement from his scary first stare.

Penelope had now become more than an acquaintance to me, were friends already. She spends her free time with me talking and playing card games. She has been like a burst of sunshine and I sense a flicker of genuine care and friendship from her.
