Chapter Thirty Six - Abuse

Sebastian has been acting strange ever since we arrived at his company. He is looking around anxiously but remains calm with the expression plastered on his face.

After we entered the company, a lot of his employees looked at us in surprise as if they didn’t expect to see us so soon.

“Good afternoon, Mr. & Mrs. Carter,” Some of them greeted. I only gave them a small smile as my son was the one waving at them.

“Good afternoon!” Tain beamed, making some gasp as if they were surprised to see me with a child.

“Her son looks just like our boss, but he has his mother’s eyes,” I heard one of them whisper as if they were happy.

“So the rumors about her having an affair are wrong, then why did she leave?” Some of them wondered.

I bit my lower lip before looking at my husband. I know that he could hear everything he was saying but he was only smiling.

Was he only happy to hear that his son looks just like him? I shook my head before smiling secretly.
