Chapter Thirty Eight - Avoiding

What he said almost caught me off-guard. Did I become too excited speaking to him? He is probably tired.

“O-Oh um, I understand, a lot of things have happened today and you must be exhausted,” I gave him a small smile, “We can talk tomorrow,”

“I can’t talk tomorrow as well, there are a lot of things I need to fix about what happened in the company and my work,” Sebastian firmly told me.

“Oh, then we will talk if we have the time to spare,” I suggested, which made him nod before walking further toward me.

“Good night, Sebastian, please do not overwork too much.” I reminded him, but he only nodded his head.

Slowly, I got out of his room and was wondering why he didn’t say anything, even a simple reply of ‘good night’.

I could feel something was wrong when he didn’t make fun of me that night inside his room. A week has passed and I haven’t seen him often.

It was like he is purposely avoiding me, including the people inside the mansion because I don’t see them often.
