Tears streamed down her face, the crazy weather never made her feel any better.

The scorching sun and severe heat, gnawed at her skin as she ran along.

There was no way she was going to be Mrs Williams. The f*cking cheat would never be her husband.

Her father had selected him and made an alliance with the family to get married but not while he was disrespecting her.

She had caught him with different girls, on different occasions having his dirty fun.

"Such a slot!"

She snapped increasing her pace.

When she got tired, she bent her head for a while and continued her journey.

Her body shook, she jerked forward, and running in full pace now when a car suddenly pulled beside her.

"Leave me alone!" She screamed while running with her shoes dangling in her hand, and holding the huge wedding gown.

She couldn't believe this was happening to her right now.

More tears sprang from her eyes as she kept running.

There was no way she could run more than a car as it suddenly pulled beside her again.

The driver suddenly popped out his head, but he looked nothing like any of her Father’s men.

He seemed like an elite driver and she was sure someone was in the back seat.

"Who are you?" She managed to sniff.

The window shield suddenly wound down, revealing a man in the backseat just like she had imagined.

Bella blinked at the sight right in front of her,

She blinked again, trying to be sure she had not started seeing things.

To her, this creature was too much to be human.

She continued ogling until she suddenly hiccupped and woke from her daze.

He slowly turned his head in her direction.

His fierce jaw pointing at her, his blue eyes, along with his stylishly coiled hair, and his smooth skin with everything blending perfectly with his tuxedo suits, earned her a hiccup once again.

"Are you getting in or not?" He suddenly snapped.

He wasn't asking her to get into his car was he?

“No.” She snapped.

She didn't run away from her wedding just to get kidnapped by some drop-dead handsome guy.

"I'm good." She muttered and continued her journey.

Not until she sighted them.

Her father's men already found out she was missing and are now in a car, chasing after her.

Panic was written all over her face.

Her body quivered aimlessly,

Was she supposed to jump off the bridge now, into the big river?

She was really going to die. She became frightened on the spot.

Then he suddenly pulled beside her and pulled her into his car.

With so much rage, she fought to get down, until she saw his face.

It was really the handsome stranger from earlier.

Did he just save her?

Even though she couldn't figure out why he had to stress about picking her up, she was still a bit grateful for helping her out.

But her curiosity got the best of her.

"Why did you do that? I mean.. like why do you bother??"

"Wow, a sassy one too." He muttered, his voice barely above whispers but loud enough that Bella could hear her

Bella's brow raised.

"{Did he just call me sassy?}"

She cleared her throat anticipating his answer.

"Aren't you just too much for someone who fled her own wedding?" He muttered coldly, a little frustration hinting at his voice.

"You are supposed to be begging for someone to save you from this dangerous road. Besides weren't you running away? Aren't you scared they could catch up with you? You can get back down now, if you want." He snapped.

"Are you saying, you’re just being a good Samaritan?" Bella scoffed.

The look on his face, his ego was bruised.

"You know what, just get out."

He suddenly pushed the door open.

"Is he crazy or what's this one?" She couldn't be more amused, his fierce expression sending shivers down her spine.

While she contemplated either coming down from the car, Austin kept praying she would never get down.

Her father's men were just a little farther away now.

Her body flinched, she needed him now than ever.

"Just drive."

She finally muttered, the least she could want at the moment was getting caught by her father and getting married to the scum.

A smile, almost invisible crept to Austin's lips.

"Do you have anywhere you want to go?"

She suddenly looked up at him.

Of course, she had nowhere to go, all she wanted was to run away from all the Sh*t.

Now she was away, but where the hell was she going now?

"I just asked you a question."

"Maybe I should just go back home." She suddenly sniffed, making Austin raise a brow.

"I have no money, not my cards, I just made a decision out of impulse and now I'm stranded, just drop me off here, I need to go back home." She muttered shaking aimlessly in tears.

He stared at her for a while.

"You know something?"

She raised her head.

"Having the courage to make your own decisions, I was actually impressed till this moment."

Bella's forehead creased.

Why would anybody be impressed by a girl who ran away from her own wedding?

She held on to the door handle waiting for it to pull over, but none of that happened.

"Why aren't you stopping?" She muttered.

"Just stay still, I need to think." He muttered, his voice giving her cold chills.

Her body mysteriously yielded to the commanding tone, she stayed quiet.

"Boss, the meeting is in 20minutes, we need to get there on time, don't you think we should drop her off here?" Dave voiced from the front seat.

"Cancel the meeting, take me to Grandfather." He muttered once and closed his eyes.

"But Boss, this is a stakeholders meeting and.." Dave whined but swiftly kept quiet as he saw his glare.

"Just do what I said, will you?" He growled.

When they got to a huge building, he came down with Bella while he held his signature cold face.

"Let's go."

Bella oblivious to everything, followed suit, At least she was away from home.

It felt as though she was on an adventure. Not until he dropped the bombshell.

"I have brought my wife."

He suddenly muttered to an old man in a garden where he brought her.

"What? Wife?" Bella muttered in astonishment.

Austin swiftly grabbed her hand when she made to turn.

"You said you only.." He didn't let her finish.

"Grandfather, hope you can get your surgery done now." He muttered coldly.

Once Bella heard that, she decided to play along, at least for that moment.

Mr Richard, almost the overall jovial person they could be on earth, stared intermittently at Bella, with a smile dangling at his lips.

"Alright.. but why wasn't I present at your wedding?"

"All that matters now, is to get your surgery done!"

"I don't believe you, son, why was I not invited to your wedding! I had only told you yesterday to get a wife or I would not get a surgery done, and today you came with a wife?"

"Alright Grandfather, I will make you believe me."

He swiftly beckoned Bella.

His eyes held uncertainty but one thing was for sure.

His eyes were pleading with Bella’s.

He delicately held her neck and swiftly sealed their lips.

He devoured her lips till he heard claps from Mr Richard and he pulled back, leaving Bella flushed on the spot.

Her hand unintentionally lifted to her lips.

"{Did he just kiss me?! I don't even know him! Wait, what?!}" Bella's inside was in chaos.

"I'll take my leave now, and your flight is the next morning, get prepared."

He held Bella's hand and dashed off with her.

When they got to the car, away from Mr Richard,

Bella stopped and sent several slaps across his face.

"How dare you use me!"

"Good Samaritan my foot!" She spat angrily and went on her heels with hot anger sprinting from her breath.

"I never used you, you are my wife!”

When Austin got to the living room with his mother, he sank onto the sofa. Sighing for the tenth time. Then Mrs Beth called her servant to give Austin something to drink. By this time, Austin was already relaxed hoping his mother had repented for good. A few minutes later, the servant came in with a fruit juice on her tray. The one that Austin liked the most and when he saw it his appetite aroused—he wanted it. Mrs Beth looked at her servant and she nodded slightly in a way that Austin wouldn't notice Then she left Mrs Beth was anxious hoping this one would finally work. She couldn't wait to join Ann and her son together already. She liked how fierce and fearless she was and she wanted her for her son. A few minutes later, Austin arrived at his mother's estate. His eyes darted around. He wouldn't make the mistake of trusting his mother completely. She was often cunning and suspicious. What if the girl was here and this was another plan of hers? He was on edge as he drove his car slowly into the parking lot. Coming down, his eyes were still going around. He sighed deeply, his expression unreadable as he walked through the entrance into his mother's living room. “Son.” Mrs Beth muttered, her tone soft and happy. This means her son had forgiven her, even though she was about to commit another. Earlier when she sent the message, she didn't know he'd forgive her so easily and let go. But here he was, in her living room. She confirmed it—her son loves her so much and would always come around no matter what she does. Even the one she was about to do, she believed he'd forgive it and see reason with her and continue with Ann happily ever after—she was his mother and she was s

Around noon, she headed to the breakroom to grab a coffee, hoping for five minutes of silence to just breathe. She hadn't even finished stirring in her sugar when Tamara, the MD, walked in. Tamara looked as sharp as ever, her presence commanding the room without her even trying. "You’re handling the whole thing even better than I expected, Bella," Tamara said, leaning against the counter as she waited for the coffee to dispense. "I was just on a call with the board. I told them that your fresh perspective is exactly what we need for the new launch. In fact, I’m already looking into a larger budget for your team for next quarter. I want you to have the best tools available." Bella felt a sharp pang in her chest. "Next quarter" felt like a lifetime away. She gripped her mug a little tighter, her knuckles turning white—She wouldn't be here. "Thank you, ma'am," Bella managed to say. She forced herself to maintain eye contact, trying not to let her internal panic show. "I’m

Thinking about it all, Mrs. Olivia's offer was the best Just as she had planned to continue growing while working with her current company, she could do the same in her new, more senior position. It could be even easier to build hers fast in that big position. Bella gave it a huge thought. “Jas. I think I’ve concluded.” “I hope it's a good one.” Jasmine who was at her study desk now muttered. “Yeah Jas, I’ll work with AJ for a month and then hand in my resignation letter,” she muttered. Jasmine spun around in her chair, her pen hovering mid-air. She stared at Bella for a long beat, processing the words. "A month? You’re going to juggle a brand-new promotion as a Team Leader while preparing your exit for Mrs. Olivia’s empire at the same time?" "I think I should do that," Bella said, her voice steadier now that she had actually said it out loud. She stood up and started pacing the small space of their room. "I can't just vanish. My MD took a chance on me, and I ha

Several minutes later, she had closed from work, and ready to leave. Being lost in her thoughts, she didn't realise everyone had left until she looked around her. Just when she unplugged her phone, picked up her bag to leave, a voice came behind her. “Bella dear, can you see me in my office?” It was her MD—she muttered and darted away. Bella went after her, wondering what could really be the problem. She worked hard all day making sure everything was in place. What could it be? She thought wildly as her heart thumped faster. In a split second, she arrived at the MD’s office. She knocked softly then pushed slightly. Her expression curious. “You can have your seat.”

“Do you have class this morning?” Jasmine’s voice came through, as she woke up to Bella all dressed up. “Gurl you don't even know what time it is,” Bella muttered, making her spring up. “I didn't wake you up, because you were awake all through the night.” “You should've woken me up!” Jasmine spoke, her voice yelling. Bella made a fake startle. “Ouch I'm scared.” she wailed with an exaggerated eye roll “You just closed your eyes 30 minutes back jas.” “I love you so much to stop you from resting darling. But don't you think it's time to change this course?” Bella muttered. Her eyes held concern. Jasmine rolled her eyes “You’ve said this a thousand times already. Get going.” “You’d never take my advice, is it until your eye bag grew bigger? “Pfttt.” Jasmine came down and walked sluggishly to the bathroom. As soon as they arrived in New York, she began her schoolwork immediately. Bella always seemed too bored at home and with their money she enrolled in a desig
