“What a magnificent wedding and ceremony you two, really, just wonderful to watch. If only your guards would have been alive to see it too.”
Shane emerges from the woods with two other wolves, both already shifted while Shane is still in his human form. Colin grabs ahold of me tightly and I search the woods for any sign of our guards or Brandon’s with no luck.
“Shane, I suggest
It’s been five years since the wedding. Five years since Colin and I had our Luna and Alpha ceremony. It was a beautiful day, until it wasn’t. We don’t talk about that day, our pack won’t mention it either.Colin and I don’t celebrate our wedding day. The memories of what took place make it too difficult. Instead, we celebrate on the day that he proposed. That way we don’t have anything that can take away from our happiness.

With Colin not being here I know it will be extremely painful. The only thought that will cross my mind besides the pain, is sex. Craving it to sooth the burning. It is typical that during a she-wolfs heat, especially her first one, that she is well protected and guarded.Any unmated males need to be locked in a cell, because their wolves can be very hard to contain. Most become crazed from the smell of a she-wolf’s heat and lose their humanity until they can mate with the wolf, or until it passes.
I wake up again to another surge of pain coming from my stomach. It quickly starts spreading throughout the rest of my body. Before I have time to react to the pain of the heat, I begin throbbing under my panties. I am suddenly in dire need of someone touching me.The thought of sex now consumes me as I groan with the desire to be pleased. Even with Leia gone, the primal instincts of my heat are starting to take hold of my body.
“Ellie!?” The voice is low and caring, but also hurt and tired. I know that voice! My head shoots up and I can’t help the tears of joy that stream down my face when Brandon limps over to me and picks me up in his bloody arms.“It’s ok Ellie, you’re going to be ok now. I got you.”
“Luke!” I run to him and jump into his arms before he has time to respond. He spins me around a few times and gives me a big squeeze before setting me back down.“Why did you have to go and get kidnapped? You drama queen! I was having such a good night at that ball!” He smirks at me and then prepares for the jab he knows is coming.“Dickhead!” I barely get the words
I open my eyes to Colin's chiseled chest in front of my face and relief floods me as I know I am safe. I cuddle into him and take a deep breath. I hear a small hum coming from inside of him and when I look up at his face he's still asleep. Not wanting to wake him, I get off the bed as silently and softly as possible. Standing from the bed my legs feel like a newborn giraffe and I giggle at myself. Last nights activities come back to me and I know I’m going to walk a little funny today.
During lunch the feeling of someone watching me doesn’t go away. It is hard to shake the sense that something bad is going to happen soon. The cold from the winter outside seems to be inside of my body because I keep shivering uncontrollably. I am in my head going over everything that might happen when someone plops down next to me at the table.“Since when are you the damsel in distress?&
