Fleki’s POV

The decision to abandon my duties at the ball completely wasn't one I’d settled on easily, but I knew that if I didn't leave to find Lustre myself, I’d fucking lose my mind wondering where she’d been and what had held her up for such a long time.

The bathroom stalls were outside the hall, yet a part of the same building. However, it was a walk that would take anyone a few minutes at a steady and normal pace. But since I wasn’t just “anyone” and I was on a mission to find Lustre, I took long and intentional strides to get to my destination much faster.

One foot in front of the other, and I’d arrived at the bathroom stalls in no time. My eyes wandered around like I was on the unfamiliar ground until I found the hallway that led to the women’s bathroom stalls.

I walked slowly toward the female stalls because I’d wondered what to do when I arrived there, barge in, and run into another woman asides from Lustre. Would I have to knock on all the doors until I found Lustre? What i
