Reid’s POV

This spineless bitch had the audacity to shift within these walls? I’d teach her a lesson she’d never forget.

I watched as her wolf whimpered in pain where I’d thrown her against the wall, but somehow that wasn't near enough. I edged toward her and she cowered fearfully which gave me an odd boost of energy and convinced me to reach her even quicker.

“You fucking asshole, you think you can bring your nasty attitude in here?!” I narrowed my eyes at her dangerously as I rose my feet in her direction.

In one full swoop, I kicked her wolf’s limbs and she lost her balance instantly and thudded on the floor loudly. Without waiting for her to recuperate from the last hit I’d dealt her, I angrily kicked her again and she howled in pain before it finally happened.

The shift.
