.Kayah’s Point of view

I couldn’t help but shiver when Six ran his finger up the length of my neck and notched my chin up a little higher. The anger inside of me vanished as soon as my eyes connected with his. As if that had been some kind of sign for him, he slowly lowered his face down to mine. Already I could feel my heart racing inside of my chest and feel the blood pounding in my ears when he parted his lips slowly. His hot warm caressed my lower lips as he inched in even closer and then he growled.

Suddenly he was pulling away from me with a deep frown set on his face. He turned his gaze towards the door and glared over at it. My body felt the loss of his heat, and I couldn’t help but shudder at the sudden chill I felt replacing it. Even though I had no clue what had just happened I still couldn’t take my eyes off of him. The way he was mumbling something under his breath and how he stomped over to the door made him seem absolutely breathtaking.

Before the knock could even sound

I looked up into his friendly brown eyes wearily before giving him a small smile. “I like Ayah.”Mockingly he copied my smile and even tilted his head. I could feel my hackles rise at that and before I could stop myself I growled at him.“If you call me anything else I’ll shave the middle of your head.”Truthfully I had no clue what ‘shaving’ was but I knew it had something to do with hair and by the surprised look he was giving me I guess I was right. Red spun back around on the heels of his feet to face Six. Smile on his lips. “Hmmm?” Six asked“Six, I’m sensing something in your girlfriend!” he yelled with his arms in the airAgain with the girlfriend term! I’his wife! His queen! Well, runaway queen!Red spun back around so that he could grab hold of my hand and drag me over to the couch. He sat in-between me and Six and I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed at that.“So,” Red placed his arm behind my shoulders. “How long have you two been together?”I looked down at Six’

Kayah’s Point of viewSix’s warm breath tickled my stomach when he let out a long sigh. For a moment I thought he was going to answer my question so I shut my mouth and watched him intently. A muscle in his jaw twitched right before he closed his eyes and nuzzled his cold nose near my navel. I shuddered at the feeling of him getting comfortable while my stomach did little flickering flips. Slowly his breathing became more even against my skin and I knew that he was trying to play it off that he was asleep. Tentatively I skimmed the surface of his face with the back of my figures until they were nestled into his dark hair. I tugged on the locks forcefully and was greeted with a low growl.“I wouldn’t do that again if I was you.” He warned before cracking open one of his eyes to glare at me.I smiled innocently down at him as I twirled a few strands of his hair between my fingers. “I wouldn’t avoid answering my question next time then.”A deep growl escaped from his lips as he lifted h

“What do you mean you’re thankful that she ran away? What if she’s already dead and-”“No, she’s alive. I can feel her. She’s there…somewhere,” he added and then looked at me. “She reminds me of you.”Ah if only I could tell you that it’s me and we’re having our pup!My chest tightened at the frustration I was feeling and automatically I felt like I was drowning in some kind of horrible suffocating blackness. I rubbed the tip of my nose against his begging him to continue so that the frustration I was feeling would eventually turn to happiness. He dragged his forehead away from mine and quickly buried his nose into the crook of my neck, taking a deep luxurious inhale before sighing.“Would you believe it if I told you that I felt like she was you.” He whispered. The sorrow in his voice made me feel even more pain, and then suddenly I was running my fingers through his dark hair and holding him against my neck. His hot breath warmed my flesh as he buried his face even deeper.Me? Yes

“Stop thinking about anything,” he said. “Thinking about what? You were a rogue. Rogues unit in a kingdom. What are you doing here?” I asked, curious. Six heaved a sigh. “Will you hate me if I curse your patron? Moon Goddess?” I blinked. “Curse? No, it's fine. I hate her anyway,” I replied, remembering what she did to me and the closest friends I had. She even used me to meet my mate. “Good because that Moon Goddess bitch, she freaking destroyed my kingdom. And now, I lost everything, my throne and my people. I could have become the monster she wanted me to be but thanks to Red, he wrapped it inside of me. That’s why I was looking for Kayah, she’s a healer and she can heal me. What else do you want to know?” “W-what happened to your kingdom then?” “My stupid younger brother became the king and her queen was Kayah’s twin. They are ruling it right now and they are hunting my ass since I managed to escape.” “I’m sorry,” I said, tears started to form on my eyes.

Kayah’s Point of ViewI could feel my throat tightened at what he said. Sure I was way out of my element but that didn’t mean that I was a complete moron when it came to survival. “You don’t know that. I would be perfectly fine on my own.”“In the first five seconds that you were in this world you almost got hit by a car.”“You can’t count that.”“I sure as hell can.”I frowned up at him and yanked my hand away from his but his grip was too firm so I just ended up playing a tug-a-war game. “Arg! Will you let go of me already! I can take care of myself.”His vibrant blue eyes flashed red and I instantly stopped trying to get away from him. His hard fingers unlaced themselves from my hand and moved slowly up my arm until his fingers were digging into my shoulder. I held back a whine from the sudden pain that was shooting up from my arm and stared into his mesmerizing eyes. Six closed the distance between us and leaned down towards me until his hot breath was ticking my ear. I jumped a

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 93: Terror

Kayah’s Point of viewI took a deep breath and looked ahead, the morning light played against the dark shabby bar, like a ghostly shadow bobbing in and out of an alleyway. In the foggy light Fang’s Bar and Grill resembled most of the other buildings that we had passed, casual and inviting, but once a dark figure moved within the bar its true face was unmasked. That one haunting shadow revealed so much in just an instant. The nightmarish bangs echoed through the air followed by screeching howls and inhuman gurgles. The smell of blood stained the air and filled my stomach until I was ill. Clinging to the smell of freshly spilled blood was something that I had come across before, it's hard stench burned my nostrils and back of my throat, until I was coughing for fresh air. The burning sensation that tickled my nose brought a watery sheen of unshed tears to my eyes. What was that awful smell?Every instinct I had, both human and animal, were screaming at me to get as far away from this pl

A few other wolves were leaning up against the side of the building when I was closing in on it. Their heads snapped over to my direction as I started to pass them, their eyes flashing yellow, and their grins growing wolfishly sharp as I passed. I crinkled my nose as I took a quick sniff of them and frowned. They smelt of human booze and something smoky but behind that was their dominant odor; which wasn’t that impressive compared to Six’s but then again I didn’t imagine a lot of people’s were . I shrugged my shoulder in reply and started to walk over to them. Our goal was to create a pack so I suppose I shouldn’t be that picking.Six growled low behind me putting a slight hitch in my step. “Not them. Their ferals.”Without even questioning him I turned my attention back on the large wooden bar doors. I had no clue as to what kind of wood they were made from. I suppose it didn’t really matter, I thought right before I kicked them in. The bulky doors swung open with a bang from my kic

The silver light in her eyes sparkled with the intensity of a small dagger. I suppressed the urge to flinch under gaze and did what Six had instructed me to do…be his Alpha. With as much grace as I could muster I tilted my chin to the side and gave her a simple cheerful smile. That earned a snarl from her which made Six growl in reply.I took a steady step closer with my hand raised slightly in Six’s direction. “Don’t be so dramatic, Six.” His growl slowly faded away and he glanced over in my direction.I could see the uncertainty and worry that filled his eyes but chose to ignore it. I wasn’t actually Six’s Alpha and we both knew it. He had only said that I was so that he could protect me…although if he wanted to protect me he could have just told this blonde bimbo that I was his mate. Just thinking about the word had my heart racing in my chest and heat rising towards my face. I bit the inside of my cheek to help distract my mind from the word. If he had called me his mate I might

I couldn’t see any emotions in his eyes, it was like I was staring straight into an endless void, emotionless. And then it happened. Axel back slapped me out of nowhere. I felt like my brain was shaken and an extreme pain came later. My eyes watered as I looked at him. “Does it hurt?” he smiled in a sickening voice. “Of course it was,” he added and grabbed my hair, pulling my hair closer to him. “That damn pain wasn’t even closer to what I had felt from your betrayal and letting him mark you.”My life flashed before me over the next few days. Axel wasn’t just angr, he was so furious, unable to accept my betrayal. He told me I deserved to rot under his castle until the last day of my life. I sniffed him but he didn’t smell like a wolf. The scent was-“Stop sniffing, girl,” I heard the voice said, annoyed. “We were all wearing some perfume to mask our scent so stop doing it. It’s annoying.”And then I heard a laugh. “Oh, don’t mind her, Jim. Let’s just get down to business,” I heard Luis. “Alright. Three million dollars for her as we agreed upon.”“Yep,” Luis said.”“My client has deposited the exact amount now and I’m taking the merchandise to him. Kindly fill up this agreement to avoid unseen problem in the future,” “Alright.”I heard some scratching of pens. “There you go,” Luis said and probably looked at Brian who was holding me. “Take her to our client’s car.”Brian started to guide me. I tried to fight but he was too strong for me given he was an Alpha bloodline. “Don’t make this hard enough, Kayah. Ju

“Oh, you’ve been a bad bad girl, Kayah,” Luis smirked and then he signaled the three men to show me what would happen if I disobeyed him again. My bruised body now slumped, shackled to a chair. After they caught me trying to escape, the trio of men beat me senseless and tossed me into this room to waste away. I could still feel the sting of Brian’s fist smashing into my cheek and the blow of Luis’ boot driving into my gut. Clumps of brown hair had been ripped from my aching scalp, Bob was responsible for that. These men, these tormentors, did far worse than just hurt me. They claimed it was to teach me obedience. To crush my spirit. And they nearly did.“What happened to fresh, not scratched and in a good condition, Boss?” Nate asked when he entered the room again. “She’s a wolf. She can heal,” Luis rolled his eyes. “You really hate this woman a lot?” Nate asked. “Not her but her damn mate,” Luis replied. “Is it also tied to her?” “Whatever their problems were, I’m out of it. The man with tousled brown hair and piercing forest-green eyes spoke from across the room. Though he didn’t raise his voice, his imposing presence made it feel like he was right beside me, shouting.“What did I say about talking back?” he growled, beginning to close the distance between us. Before he could get far, the second man extended an arm, halting him with a sharp, warning glance. He muttered something too quiet to catch, then slowly started toward me instead. His long black hair framed a pale, severe face, and his deep blue eyes locked onto mine with unsettling calm.“I suggest you listen to him, Kayah.” I winced hearing my name leave his lips. “You should understand something, we’ve planned this carefully. Your little help is gone, and no one will help you, let alone save you from your impending doom. No one’s coming for you. Which makes this very convenient for us. She told us that no one will care enough to look at you.”Now kneeling in front of me, he leaned in, grabbed m

As soon as the scream escaped my lips I knew that all hope was lost. “I heard her! This way!” With no other choice I stood up and ran out of the horrible room and I didn’t stop to look where I was going. I only looked up long enough to see the front door I had come through a foot away when strong and rough arms snatched my waist. I screamed once again as the arms took me away from my escape and hauled me to the room at the end of the hall. I fought and kicked with all my strength, grabbing and clawing whatever I could get my hands on. With each futile attempt the arms only grew tighter around me. A door was opened and I was shoved into the room I once heard the voices arguing from. With a gasp I took in the gruesome and horrifying scene in front of me.I landed head first after being thrown into the room. I gawked at the scene of terrors that lay in front of me. In front of me was a still and lifeless body. The last of the body's blood puddled around the girl as it leaked from the m

I woke up and felt everything was odd. The room was unusually quiet, so eerie.“Rache?” I called her name but no one was answering. Where the hell is she? I asked myself. I got up, made myself a coffee when I stopped my mug mid-air. Amidst the scent of coffee hitting my nose, I smell something but a scent. It was so strong that it actually overpowered the coffee’s scent. It was them. Damn it. “Rachel!” I screamed but no one answered. I didn't wait for her to answer. I grabbed my phone and ran through the door, looking for a fire exit. Even if the scent was still a mile away, I knew they would eventually catch up with me. So I better run and call Rachel when I think I’m safe. My lungs ached with the force I was putting on them. I never really ran. I wasn't out of shape, but I definitely wasn't athletic. Okay, I’m used to running, but not as urgent as this. I ran when I needed to chase a prey but not the other way around. The closer I drew to my destination the more I couldn't hel

Defeated, I started the journey back to our apartment. I knew she would show up eventually, just like every other time she left.Letting my mind wander, I turned the corners while walking back to our rented house. I passed street sign after street sign, worn down building after worn down building. The town was old and dusty to say the least. As I walked, I planned out what I would do for the rest of the day. The only thing that kept me going now was that I had to find my son and take him back with me. Time seemed to fly while I thought about the reason why I was away from my pack and to Seven, and after about twenty minutes of breathing in smoke and dirt-filled air, I arrived at the door to the apartment building. The apartment buildings we lived in strongly represented a motel and were the cheapest housing options around. I didn't particularly like it, but it was all we needed so no one would suspect me.Sighing, I walked up the concrete steps and opened the wooden door, only to rev

My pack has decided to end everything and take back what they used to own, their dignity, they castle. Seven his real reclaimed the name and that the Moon Goddess has crossed the line. “I know it’ll be dangerous, but this is for our son. I want him and neither would I give you to her,” I said when I’m done telling him Hailey was actually Lunar and that she tricked him. Seven was speechless when he heard it but it didn’t change the fact that she has our child. Seven took the alpha position and talked to the pack mate, the rogues who had been in the human settlement howl, ready to reclaim the throne and their home. “Are you sure about this Red?” I asked her to utter a spell, a spell that would prevent Lunar from tricking Seven again. Now that Red has become apparent, he told us he was actually ex-deity and used to side with Lunar back then. He admitted Lunar was delusional and told us about her tale, about her falling in love with Fenrir only to break her heart in the process. He

My voice echoed, bouncing back empty.I fell to my knees. My baby was gone. And not even the wind could tell me where.I pressed my hand to the grass where he’d been taken. It was still warm.My fingers tingle..Then, I heard something.A whisper. Soft. Like a breeze.“Kayah…”I looked up. The trees shifted slightly. Then it stopped.Six didn’t hear it. Only me.“Bitch,” I said and she just laughed. “You couldn’t have that’s you took me son?”No answer.I heard a chuckle like the bitch was amused. “You so Hailey,” Lunar said. “I don’t care about whatever image you took,” I said. “Seven and I had a history.”I swallowed hard. “Maybe it’s time for you to tell him about her.”“Shut up!” I screamed. “Ayah,” Six whispered. “Let's go back.”We returned to Maryan’s.Red was still breathing.
