Chapter 63 SamuelAfter Gabriel had explained what he had discussed with Lucy the expression and body language was telling me and anyone that had been around Roman long enough to know when the rage would fill him to the point of switching. Roman was a force to be reckoned with when he had turned furious. This is why we had trained as hard as we did. Primarily myself. I had paired up with Roman, to help him fight off his anger on a daily basis. It helped curb his desires to kill everything in their wake. I should have had Thaddeus on standby, or someone else as strong as me and him if shit turned sour.‘Thad get ready I need you outside the conference room. It’s Roman.’‘On my way, how bad is the beating going to be this time?’ He asked me but I had no sure answer to give him back. Fuck the beating that I was getting ready to take was for sure going to hurt.‘Gab, things here are about to get very dicey. I need you to exit the room and usher everyone else out. I need you to take Lu
Chapter 64 Adrik Coming into the wolf pack as a demon was a very interesting concept. Then to hear that we would be pairing up with not only the dogs but we would be also combining our forces with the white witches. Now that was just pure comical. You had the good and heavenly, the ones that could go either way based on their choices and the evil. Or so everyone had thought. What everyone failed to realize was just like everyone else we served a purpose and our side too had the good and evil. Like the witches they had both those that practiced within good intentions, while some played in the gray areas. Then there were those like the spineless twirps that thought it was fun to mess with people in the worst of ways. I understood that many of the Dark magick witches weren’t really bad, just put into impossible conditions and did what they had to in order to survive. While many would just automatically assume that all Chaos and Dark magick was due to the
Chapter 65 Celeste I had known why the meeting was getting called. I had wanted to take down that pack since the moment I had heard of Amethyst's heartbreaking tale. The moment that she had come into my Alchemy shop in the small human’s town that we operated in secret, I had felt the energy. I had been away dealing with a small attack from some dark magic when I felt a tidal wave of energy being admitted at the shop. I thought that it was yet another attack but when I got there I had seen one of my Coven members attempting to console a crying and distraught woman. I could tell that she was a practicing witch and a powerful one at that. But the way that she was letting her magic flow I could tell that she had not been given proper instructions that is often given when a witch first comes into her powers. The whole day is a celebration amongst a coven. Especially one as powerful as the one I had felt. The fact that she had released the amount of energy that had
Chapter 66 Adrik Taking Celeste's hand I began to lead her to where only the heavens knew where. “Do you know somewhere very private that we may talk?” I turned to ask her while still leading her to anywhere but in front of the throng of people that were crowded into that room. I had been angered by the several members outburst. I had no idea what had caused such turmoil but I would not allow them to soil the mood that I was currently in from finding this wonder of a woman that had appeared to be all leg. The woman could match me in height but where I was broad she was petite and small. Her almost white hair laid flat down her long bare back as I continued to drag her anywhere but here. I did not think that I would be able to safely take her back to my room as I was still unsure of the exact location of it. Before I had time to begin shoving open doors and taking over just any of the rooms here in this building, Celeste moved out in front of me and quick
Chapter 67 Celeste Gabriel had called to tell me that the group was ready to reconvene. I knew that there was no escaping or ignoring my obligations. So, I knew I had to not only answer the phone but to attend the postponed meeting. Yet Gabriel had asked if I was with Adrik. I drew a blank on how I knew that name. Asking Gabriel made me look like a damn fool. Yet, I still couldn’t understand how I knew the name. Then he told me that he was one of the many princes of the underworld. I could not believe that I had been paired with one of the many princes. I couldn’t tell if this was a curse or a blessing. I was in shock when I turned to him and told Gabriel that we were on his way. He just continued to laugh at me like this was grade A entertainment. “Keep it up, chuckles. And here, I was going to offer to get you a shirt for the meeting. Now you can figure it out yourself.” I said in annoyance, turning back around and going to lea
Chapter 68 Celeste “Levi, Lucy, and Roman you are up? I do not know who would like to start or how you would like to go about anything you have to talk about but you have the floor and our undivided attention” Gabi rambled. It was obvious she was not used to this type of attention on her. Standing up, Roman took control. “Thank you Gabi. I will allow my mate Lucy to take the floor” he explained, taking Lucy’s hand and pulling the poor deer up to her feet and squeezing her hand in support. I knew what was about to be discussed but even I could not handle the information that was about to be spewed. “Hello everyone. For those that do not know me, my name is Lucy. Former witch of the White Coven. My mother is Amethyst, sitting over there by Gabriel and Celeste. I am a former breeder of the Breeding dens. My father handed me over to the alpha and we were forced to service those that had paid money to conceive an heir. Many of them bein
Chapter 69 LeviAfter Roman had lost his damn mind, reasonably so, Gabi had adjourned the meeting till 6am the next morning. The emotions were high after hearing the admissions of Lucy and Gabriel on behalf of Luce. While I too felt the anger and rejection that Romeo had felt I was a bit more understanding. Lucy had not rejected us because of anything we had done but because she was dealt a losing hand and had lost herself. Once we were excused I thanked my father before wrapping my arm around Lucy’s shoulder and began to guide her towards our room. Lucy was slowly falling apart at the seams. I could feel her anxiety falling off of her. I knew with the guilt and the pain that was rolling off of her that I would need to work extra hard to soothe her pains. Drawing her a warm bath I added lavender and jasmine essential oils into the bath. I followed the essential oils up with some lavender infused epsom salt before adding her favorite lavender bubble bath and turned on
Chapter 70 Adrik After Roman had been removed it was several moments before many but not all had returned back to the conference room. Only to have Gabi tell everyone to go. I was happy that I had the time to spend with Celeste but furious at the mirage of information that was gathered here in such a short period of time. Both Celeste and I looked at one another before both looking back to Gabi. It was obvious by her posture and pacing that she was irritated, upset, angry or all the above. Taking Celeste's hand I led her away from the conference room and back to my place. I really, really wanted to flash us there but the fear of having her put through the agony that she had been through before had me hesitating. “You can do your snapie thing. I can handle it, Prince Adrik. I wasn’t prepared before but I think I can manage it this time.” She said in all of her innocent glory. Clenching her hand a little bit tighter I hesitated before I flashed us
