Chapter 123.3
Roman
For the past three days I have been adapting to my new role as a guard. When they brought me in, I was immediately taken to my room before the head guard came and informed me that I would be filling in as the supervisory guard for the breeders. As they called them. I hadn’t yet seen Savenia, as the times that I had been doing my duties she was with the man she was assigned to for the month. But the conditions here were deplorable. I wouldn’t even allow an animal or pest to live in these conditions, let alone the many women that were currently being housed here.
Currently, I share the job title with one another. We would shift our times of duty. Like myself, the other guy was allotted 48 hours off but had opted to have them separated as he would use his 24 hour down time to visit the brothel. I was just thankful that at no time had he come back from the brothel smelling like my Lucy. I still did not know at that time
Chapter 123.4Roman**As Promised we are resuming the story. For those that went ahead and skipped ahead, that is okay. I understand and do not judge you for that. I have to say that letting my characters tell their story broke a little piece of my heart as well. As well as bringing up several painful memories. We are resuming after a week. What you missed will be explained in this chapter. Happy reading**I didn’t think I was going to like exactly what he was going to talk to me about, but as much as Nicolas had done for me, I wasn’t going to talk with him. Levi followed Nicolas’s lead as I followed in behind them both as we headed towards Nicolas’s office. Once in his office, Nicolas hit a switch and we could hear a loud buzzing noise. Ronnie was whining and growling at the“Nicolas, what the hell?” I asked him.“I just set up a silencer.
Chapter 124GabiThe loss of my baby had me devastated. The only comfort I found was that soon my little baby girl would be coming back to me. I had been sorting through many of the documents strewn over my desk. I was missing my mate and baby but Sam and I had taken the loss of our baby and drew strength. We were bonding together harder.Deciding that he could no longer stay so far away from me even though his office was right next to mine, he had moved his desk so to speak to my room and began to do his work at the small coffee table that I had on a couch in what I had deemed my reading nook. My shelves were filled with not only my pack politics and all the information I would need to read, but also my romance books about strong heroines that kicked ass. My one and only guilty pressure. Or a sign that I wasn’t the ‘Robot’ that everyone had deemed me to be.With a soft knock on my door, it pulled me away from my thou
Chapter 125 Alec The time had finally come. I was excited but nervous. I had taught classes before, but I wasn’t ever in line to become Dean of my own University. And yet here I was. Waking up, I felt the sparks of nervous energy coursing through my blood. I couldn’t wait to welcome my new students. Yet at some time, I also felt the missing piece of this whole experience. Savenia. She deserves to be here with me right now. Many of these plans had been hers. She had an intellect that would rival my own. I had been missing her fiercely as of late. But I would do this for her. While my heart and soul ached for her, while her visits were helping to ease my wolf and I, it still wasn’t enough. The second is the annoying beeping of my alarm alerting me to the time I was up and in the shower. I was quick as I got myself ready. By 630 am, I was working on waking James. He was a lot like his mother in that he hated mornings and would struggle to get up and dressed in the morning. Amber h
Chapter 125.2 Athea Once the bus stopped in front of the large apartment-looking building, we were all instructed to grab our items on our persons but to leave our luggage that was under the bus. We were herded to the stage that was in front of the apartments with grass that looked like it had seen lots of battles as it was in patches and had a worn-yellowed look. I looked up at the stage and saw a large group of people huddled together talking and laughing with one another. Many of the men looked as if they were related, as they all seemed to be the same height of hair coloring and the few that I could see facing me had the same facial bone structure. Strange, but from what I had gathered was that the Academy had been opened by a man named Gabriel and his kids also worked together. The man standing in front with his back facing the crowd was the one to turn around, causing everyone else in their group to quiet and form a straight line behind him. “Let me be the first to welcome y
Chapter 126RomanAfter spending my all too brief time with Levi, I again strip from the woodline and dart back through the woods, back towards my ‘job’. I could not wait until the day that we finally took these dens down. Take Alpha douche down. I could take my mates back home and do nothing but shower them with the love and support that they need from me.Nicolas had been extremely generous, while for appearance sake I still had 3 shows a day and by the end of my 3rd show I had decided that I couldn’t stay in the bed that Nicolas gave me. It still smelt of Levi. Smelt of his sweet citrus and musky scent. It made me hard and angry. No, I'd run Levi out of my system and get back to where I needed to be. To finish this show once and for all and get Luce out of there.I was slightly shocked the moment that I had crossed back on to Alpha Doug's borders only to have 2 wolves flank me and attempt to take me down. I easily outran
Chapter 127.1AlecI had gone starkly quiet after her confession. I could only believe that it was a shock. Did she really just say that she was pregnant? Like with a child? For real and not just part of her disguise? I was confused beyond just the words that she was saying. Maybe I was dreaming? It was late after all. Maybe I just fell asleep at my desk. Yeah, that’s what it is. That is all that it has to be. Closing my eyes, I tried to wake myself, yet when I reopened them she was still standing there, but this time her expression was stupid wonderment.“What the hell are you doing?” She asked me.“Just thought I was dreaming. Did you just tell me you were pregnant?” I asked her to clarify.“Yes, what did you think that would just magically change because you closed your eyes?” she asked, but I could feel our bond. The bond that we had yet to complete, and thus, was still very weak. But bond
Chapter 127.2SaveniaI was fuming the moment he walked out of his office. I didn’t even gently pull from the shimmer I ripped from him. Yelling and screaming inside of my cell.“Nia. Nia? You need to calm down or they will bring the doctors down here. They like to sedate us and cuff us down. Please, they will lock us all down.” Said a shy and quiet girl across from me. She was here when they brought me here.“Sorry. I am sorry.” I said, still angry and crying.“What the hell is going on down here?” Yelled a man, though I couldn’t see him from the bars of my cell.“Nothing sir. Sorry sir.” The shy little thing across from me said.“Keep it down Kate. I swear, I have no problem putting you back in those binds.” He said, coming to stand in front of her cell. Just his words alone caused a shudder to run up her spine and down her arms.“No.
Chapter 128 Roman Today was the day I was going to go and meet my daughter for the very first day. I couldn’t tell her who I was or anything. But I could ease my mind as well as Levi’s. We were worried about our pup. She may not be ours by birth, but she was ours nonetheless. Leaving the dens at the peak of my shift, I made my way towards where I could hear children singing? Reciting? I couldn’t be sure as the children were saying something, but the many voices muffled the sound. I walked up to an old run-down building that looked outdated in many ways. By the heat radiating off the building, I could tell that it had no air conditioning and probably no heat. While all the other houses in this pack looked to be state-of-the-art. The buildings that housed the ‘Slaves’ or less than desirables were appalling. Their building resembled the way the pack treated them. Like they were absolutely nothing. “Sir? May I help you?” Asked a young woman that looked more worn for her young age
