"You're talking crazy." I snapped beginning to stand. "I don't want to join any pack let alone yours."
"Marissa, as my mate you should follow me." Travis said as if it was the most natural thing there was. "Otherwise do you expect me to join your pack?"
"I'm not part of a pack." I pointed out.
Travis and I had only known each other for four days so of course he wouldn't be aware of the fact I had yet to join a pack. Hell, he wouldn't even be aware of the fact I had absolutely no intention of joining one EVER.
"How can you not be part of a pack?" Travis asked eyes widening. "You should be well aware of what happens to a wolf that doesn't become part of a pack."
"What proof do you have that it is true that happens?" I demanded. "Do you personally know someone who knows someone? Or know someone yourself? Hmmm?"
"No, but still you have to be crazy to even consider not joining a pack." Travis said staring at me
"Travis." I gasped as he sent me into waves of convulsions for the third time simply using his tongue. He was enjoying himself a little too much and my inner wolf was starting to get frustrated from the lack of actual action it was getting. Even if I was still against accepting Travis, my instincts knew what they wanted and since I had gone into heat there was literally nothing I could do to ignore them."Travis..." I moaned again and again before finally grabbing his head and pulling him up towards me. "Enough of that.""You want me that badly baby?" Travis asked placing his mouth against mine. "For someone who insisted they would never accept me you're doing a good job of driving me mad right now.""Shut up!" I growled.Laughing he positioned himself between my folds and began to move teasing me further. Moaning I closed my eyes and arched my back enjoying the pleasure that just having his hardness against my bud was makin
"What did you just say?" I asked slowly trying to convince myself that I had heard wrong. "Repeat that.""I said don't leave." Travis smirked. "You can just stay here and then you won't have to deal with your parents anymore.""You must be out of your mind." I said frowning. "Why in the world would I stay here?""Why not?" Travis countered as his hand began running up and down the length of my back.Closing my eyes I growled feeling my sore nether regions begin to twitch and wetten at a mere touch from this man. What in the world was I going to do now? Due to the heat and mating with him my body would no longer deny him even if my mind would."Stop that." I tried swatting his hand away.Leaning in Travis bit my ear, "You are not honest baby."I could hear him take in a deep breath clearly smelling my arousal towards him. He knew he had me and that I wouldn't deny him now. At least not until my
It was early morning and the sun had just begun to rise when I found that I was no longer in heat and it was time to make my escape.Looking to the still sleeping Travis I carefully got out of bed and searched for the clothing I hadn't worn in the past three days.My body screamed at me as I moved around from all the exertion and I couldn't help but curse these damn werewolf instincts that pushed me to do ridiculous things that a normal person wouldn't even think of doing.Fully dressed I took one last look at Travis before quickly bolting out of his apartment and out into the day.The streets were pretty empty as I began the walk of shame back to my home, allowing me the peace to be alone to my thoughts as I walked. The past week had been crazy starting from meeting Travis, to running into that crazy masochist that had insisted I was his new master. Somehow I couldn't help but wonder what exactly is was that I had did for the universe
Amanda didn't look pleased as she walked up to the park bench that I was lounging on. After some begging she had agreed to go collect my things, although I didn't think the beggining did it, instead it was the promise of seeing Melanie. She hadn't been aware that Melanie had come back and was chomping at the bit to catch up with her."Here." She huffed shoving my stuff at me. "I had to deal with so many questions from your parents, you know that?"Smiling I stood and hugged Amanda, "Did I ever tell you that you are my absolute favorite person on the face of the earth?""Don't you try to suck up." Amanda snapped trying to pry me off of her.Giving her a big kiss on the cheek I let go. "I thought you loved me."Faking a pout I jumped out of the way just as Amanda attempted to punch me."I've gotta get home." Amanda said turning, "If you need something like this again don't ask me.""SEE YOU LATER!" I
"Sure...." I said forcing a smile as Kim beamed brightly while running forward and hugging me."That's great." She cooed squeezing tightly. "I always wanted a friend!"Always wanted a friend? If I was her first friend what exactly was Sarah? This thought would most certainly bug me for a while."What about...." I began and thought better of it, instead hugging her back. "Kim, how old are you?""I'm eighteen." Kim announced proudly. "That isn't a problem right?"As she spoke she jutted out her bottom lip pouting. I instantly felt my heart tug towards this little person, even if I knew that deep down she was a brutal killer."No of course not." I assured her unable to handle the sight any longer. "And what about Sarah?"All the while Sarah stood to the side looking bored as she kept an eye on Kim."Sarah," Kim said patting her thigh. "Come here girl."Obdiently Sarah moved fo
Travis looked at me before turning his attention to our company. A low rumble sounded from within him indicating that he was ready for battle. Smiling I allowed Chloe to come forth, she had awoken when she sensed danger and was chomping at the bit to have some fun.Letting out a snarl I lunged forward grabbing the closest man to me and pulling him forward as I sunk my teeth into his shoulder. Yanking I allowed his delicious blood to enter my mouth before pulling away his flesh and spitting it out. Beside me Travis had engaged with the other man and seemed to be easily over powering him, good.Wiping the blood from my mouth I circled the now bleeding man in front of me. His eyes had turned a dark shade of red as his anger rose."I'm going to kill you bitch." He snarled as his teeth began to elongate."Are you now?" I asked laughing. "I don't see that happening."Jumping forward he slashed his claws at me trying to
"Did I hear you correctly?" I asked now eyeing Travis and his friends. "Did you just say you wanted to chop these bodies up?"Even though I knew I had heard them correctly, I was having trouble comprehending them doing such a thing. Granted the more I thought about it the more interesting it became. Just the thought of all the blood began to make me excited."How else should we get rid of em then little miss?" One of Travis' pack mates, a man with a big gut and bald head asked eyeing me. "We can't just carry these bodies out for the normies to see.""No shit." I growled taking offense to the way he spoke.Letting a low growl escape him the man narrowed his eyes on me as I stood my ground. If he was trying to intimidate me he had another thing coming."Enough Ace." Travis warned clapping the guy on the shoulder. "Marissa is my mate and no matter what I will take her side."Ace's eyes grew wide at Travis' wo
Grabbing the axe from Kim I moved forward and stopped in front of the closest body to me. Smirking I lifted the weapon and then let it make contact with the mans throat cleanly cutting off his head. I watched with amusement as the head began to roll."Vicious." Came Ace's voice from behind me.Turning I blew him a kiss before continuing my task of chopping up the body in front of me. I could hear the men behind me gasping and giving sounds of disgust as I chopped away. Whistling I got really into the job at hand, blocking everything else out."Travis...." It was Chris' voice. "Are you sure your mate is sane?""Are you insulting my friend?" Kim asked before coming to join me. "Can I do the next one?"Wiping blood from my face I nodded passing the axe to Kim before turning to Travis and his mates."Could a few of you go buy some trash bags?" I asked eyeing them. "We will need to transport the pieces in
Marissa's POV"Are you ready?" Travis asked, continuing to gaze into my eyes. "Just say the word, and I will tell them to forget it.""No..." I managed to squeak out as everyone began to move towards the stage to get a place to watch. "I won't go back on my word. Not anymore. "Even if I was fucking terrified, it didn't mean that I was going to leave Travis hanging like I always did in the past. I owed him this and so much more."I'm okay." I said more strongly. "Just some nervous butterflies.""Are you sure?" Travis continued to push, not se
"You look beautiful." Travis murmured, coming up behind me. "I almost don't want to share you with the world."Through the mirror in front of me, I caught Travis' eyes turning a dangerous shade of gold. It was clear that his mind was quickly heading to the gutter, and if this continued, we would never leave the room."Party and marking." I reminded him while wriggling free enough to turn and look into his eyes. "After that, you can do whatever you want to me.""Fine." Travis huffed in frustration. "I'm wishing we hadn't promised to do the marking in front of the world.""Too late for that." I whispered, snaking my ar
"How about this one?" Kim beamed, holding up a short red dress with a dipping neckline. This was probably the tenth or eleventh dress that she had shown to me. However, each one was way too revealing, and Kim wasn't accepting that I didn't want to show a ton of skin."Maybe something a bit more conservative." I tried, standing and heading towards the rack that she was rummaging through. While busying myself, I searched until I found a black lace dress with a dark blue underlay. The neckline was a v-neck, but it didn't dip anywhere near as much as the ones Kim was trying to force me into."How about this?" I said, pul
"Timothy and I grew up in a small village just on the outskirts of a small town called Washua." Thomas began keeping his voice neutral. "We were a small pack of wolves that specialized in raising the ultimate trackers."Just from those simple words, I could already understand where this story was going to go. No one liked trackers. They were looked down on in the wolf community, because they didn't take sides with anyone and provided their skills to the highest bidders."If memory serves me correctly, it happened late one winter night, right after my parents received a large sum of money to track down this big-shot alpha that was beginning to dwell in corrupt deeds."
After the meeting, Travis and I waited with Thomas as everyone left the room. For the most part, all involved were onboard with the mission to scout the areas that were marked on the maps, while Thomas and Travis personally worked towards tracking the dark mage. One thing that I found odd was that Travis didn't openly discuss in detail the plans for the tracking. From the way he spoke and his expression, I had a feeling that there was quite a bit he was hiding.Making mental note to ask him later, I tensed as Gregory and Davison made their way towards us."Uncle." Travis said stifflyas Davison narrowed his gaze on him. "Is there something you'd like to say that you couldn't say during
"Are you sure I should be present for this?" I asked Travis as we stopped in front of the door of the meeting room."You're my future Luna; of course you should." Travis assured me, kissing the top of my head. "Now come on, we've made them wait long enough.""Right."Sucking in a deep breath, I waited as Travis opened the door that was separating us from the rest of Travis' pack higher ups.Squaring my shoulders, I walked in and waited, taking in all the gazes that instantly fell on me. Though I fully expected hostility from Travis' beta Chris, I didn't expect it from almost everyone sitting at the table, aside from
Too bright of sun disturbed my dreamless sleep, drawing me to reality where my entire body was aching.Wincing, I opened my eyes and glared at the damned sun. I wanted to sleep a little longer, but the damn thing decided that it wasn't in the cards.Grumbling to myself, I turned over to find Travis still fast asleep."Lazy." I mumbled, lifting a hand and poking the tip of his nose, earning myself a low growl.Reaching out, Travis wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close against him as he nuzzled my neck, nipping it lightly.Shiverin
Lifting a hand, I wiped steam away from the mirror in front of me so that I could see my reflection. The woman staring back at me wasn't the girl that I remembered before my life turned totally upside down from meeting Travis. Her blue eyes stared back into mine with less hatred, and her features were softer. She seemed more open and more friendly. Nothing like the Marissa I'd been only three weeks before.Letting out a breath, I tossed my hair behind my shoulder and tilted my head to the side so I could see my neck better. Fixing my eyes on my mark spot, I couldn't help but wonder what Travis' mark would look like there.Immediately, I could feel a tingle between my thighs just from the tho
From behind me, I could feel the shock roll through Travis. It was clear that he didn't expect me to say those words and from the tension I could feel building within him, I knew that I was going to get jumped once we were alone.I didn't know where that came from or why I actually didn't feel opposed to it at all anymore, but I would figure that out later. For now I needed to appease my parents."Are both of you telling the truth?" My father asked remaining unconvinced. "I don't want to hear spouted bullshit.""Do you think I would joke about something like this?" I asked, my annoyance beginning to rise. "Me of all people."
